Woohoo! Congrates congrates!! Ask ur agent to faster send the documents to HDB. Btw, u guys are still waiting for the valuation report right? When is it coming? -
Haiz... Why did things come to this stage? I always thought that Yeak is a nice and easy going guy, and still do actually. He helped my hb with a work carpentry project for free, and recently refused to charge me for adjusting a shelf's height. I would like to say a word of defense about his customer service, and after sales service. However, I do agree with New & Malcolm that he uses "standard height" as a reason to do lesser rectifications. My hb & I designed our wardrobe according to our preferences. We definitely can't have same-height hanger bars in the wardrobe as my hb is 1.8m and I'm 1.55m. So he designed his to be higher and the length between 2 bars to be longer as compared to mine. We gave our dimensions to Yeak. In the end, it was "standard height". Some of my hb's shirts hung on the top bar brush against the bar below. And I'll have to tip toe abit to hang clothes. If we wanted standard height, we could have purchased wardrobes from furniture shops instead of doing customized carpentry right? And we won't need to give Yeak the dimensions that we wanted for our wardrobe right? Anyway, since it was such a small issue, we decided to let it go. All in all, I would say that ideas/concepts and specifications have to conveyed clearly to one another, in order to avoid disappointments. And it's not just Yeak, it applies to all other contractors/IDs.

Which means it's today! Heheheh, just afew more hours to become an official EM owner. Hehe, seems like u really dun need to do lots of stuff. Good good! Save on reno. Must show us more pics of the place k? I like that hougang EM too! Love the large glass kitchen entrance. I wanted that too, but so x... hahahah. U can always check with them after u've gotten ur 1st appt date. At least there's a rough estimate of when u can get the keys. And since ur reno should be around cny, can check with them when they will start/stop work during that period. U'll be able to plan ur reno timing better. -
Congrates on ur new home!
-
Hmm.. both my kitchen door and shower screens are tempered glass, but no stamps or warranty. Only my MBR toilet tempered frosted glass got warranty and stamp. Hope it helps. Check with Yeak bah.

CONGRATES!!! Hopefully the valuation will be even higher than the previous one, then u'll need to pay lesser COV. hehehehe The place looks great! The white paint makes the place looks very spacious. And I love the timber flooring. Cools. -
Haha! Same loh! I onli eat selectively, like muffins. The rest of the baked goodies like cookies, tarts.. All give to my hb, hb's colleagues and my colleagues eat. heehhe
-
Haha, would love to man! But no budget. Hb sae next time if strike toto will do tat too. wahahahaha
-
Can try staining it to a deeper colour and varnish it. Mine was exactly the same as urs, then we asked our contractor to stain it to a dark walnut colour. Now very nice and good as new.
-
It's nice de loh! If my balcony dun have a roof already, I'll do that too!
-
Hehe, yah. That's why prefer to bake for fun. It's always a pleasure to see family enjoying the stuff we made. Haha, so all the more he should buy a good one for u. Then u'll be able to churn out goodies for him easily.
-
Okay! I'll pray hard hard for u!
-
True true. Hee.. If u take down ur greenhouse roof and put up the same one as F4.. It'll be really very chio. Haiz.. Still think that they are very weird to want to dismantle the roof. Who can they sell it to but another EM owner? Then the workers will have to do dangerous jobs again.
-
Yah. Must as well get it over and done with. Change to a nice nice one. Hee.. Hope tat the rest of the reno will go smoothly for u bah.

I think simple gates are the best. The design will last. We wanted to change our gates at first. But no budget, as we'll need to change both the dining room window grilles and gates so they'll match. Maybe next time bah.

Orh... Icic. My bad. No worries, u'll be in ur new place baking up a storm b4 u know it. *just a figurative speech ok, it's better to bake more cheesecakes than a storm ok?*
-
Hahaha, but they won't be able to do so cuz it's in the clause liao!
-
huh? how come suddenly got a baking post here? hehehehe... Shouldn't u go post this at the baking clubby t-blog? Soon dear.. soon u'll be whipping up ur lovely cheesecakes and other professional looking goodies to tempt us.
-
Hahaha! Then we are both on the same page. I take my mixer, giggle happily when using. U take ur coach stuff, giggle happily when using. And both poor from the purchases.

Haha, add an additional clause in? "To reimburse owners for rectifications done due to any defacing done to owners' premises"? Or sth simpler like "no defacing of owners' premises allowed"
