Wah.. Ur agent super thick skin man. Agree on changing the locks. It's ur house already, not theirs. They should hand over all keys to u. The main gate etc must change! What if u don't change till the end of ur reno, and u leave sme valuables inside? Then they come "visit" and take ur valuables away?

Wah.. Nice reno! Aiyo... Tink if sme1 scratch my flooring I wun let that delivery guy go off too. Go off means compensation fly away liao. Don't think $200 is enough to replace the floor. Ur fren must be very sad to see the scratch.

Oh, u mean a settee with storage. But the storage is for shoes? Seems ok to me. But u'll always need to squat down to get ur shoes.

Yeah, nw comparing quotes and waiting for quotes loh. This Fri gg to bring an ID to the hse to take sme measurements etc. Hopefully can bring another one there on Sun/Mon. Cuz we have to settle on an ID/contractor soon, then we can choose tiles etc and let them start wk earli Jan woh. Very excited. Now finally can see the start of our reno.. Comes to think of it, it's next mth. hehe.. so fast. Tink u can check all the hinges of ur carpentry, check the lights/power sockets (whether they r working anot), see if the walls are nice & smooth (need plastering or touch up?), any tiles that were chipped by the workers, etc. Oh, check the doors and windows as well, to see that they open & close properly, nt rusty etc.

Hehe, nope. We don't intend to rush our renovations. We intend to start work during 2nd wk of Jan, say around 6th or 7th Jan. Maybe do stuff like hacking and tiling works. The workers will break before CNY and should be back around 1st week of Feb bah. After that continue with the rest of the works loh. I'm hoping to shift in before March. Then can spend my bdae there.

Hehee, okok, tks! I'll go and check with my contractor. Wah, urs FOC.. So cool. Yay.. then u can spend xmas at new place liao! So happening! Wish I can also... but gota wait till next year's xmas. haha

Cement board? Those used for cornices? Hmm, I duno leh. I met up with Jessie's contractor the other day, and asked him about boxing up of pipes. He said that not very good to do so, even if used vanity cabinets' boards, whh are water resistant with ABS trimming. Then I abit confuse. So many pple do box up. It won't be that bad mah rite? Thanks for the info though, I'll go ask the contractor about this agn bah. Really would love to box up the ugly pipes. No worries. Hehe, still in time for xmas. Hehehe.. if ur ID still try to extend after that...

Spam chop and congrates on ur new home! Hehehe... Agree with Deepwhite! Hehehe.. Very clever to reserve the space first. hehe.. Looking forward to ur reno transformation!
-
That will be a great help! Thanks bubble-ling! Would these water resistance board be those tat are normally used for vanity cupboards in the toilets?
-
Hehe, mi spam chop too! Congrates on ur new place! Yeah, looks very big. And ur MBR also big. Yah, it's very hard to resist temptation and do only the necessary. My hb and I are trying to resist well.

Sobz... I gota use those gas tanks.......... My future place no pipe gas.... So sian, gota waste a portion of storage space to keep tat gas tank... Ya man! Ur contractor very fast leh. I like the drawers as well, much easier to take and view things kept inside. If do shelves only, very hard to take things. Alternative is to do those pull out shelves. Hehehe.. But tink do drawers more expensive than shelves. If not I'll confirm do all drawers.

Yah loh.. There are afew agencies that i've checked out. Although they have a more comprehensive list, they'll need to charge more for extra work to be done. Then also need to pay them admin fee. Some more duno if the cleaning aunties they send are good and honest anot. I prefer those word of mouth ones, who can be more flexible in their hours and work. Yah, let us know how she is k? I tink lots of pple will ask u for her contact. hehehe... Does she stay in Jurong itself?
-
Wah... u had a very happening yesterday! hehehe.. nice stuff for the kitchen and toilet. Is the kitchen sink u bot a Rubine? No kitchen tap? Wah lao.. tat Jojo is reali one weird lady. Tink if I'm u, I'll just sae it's none of her business and hang up the fone. hahahaha
-
Yah, agree with the others. Don't need to do much to the house as it's very nice already. Just get some new furniture and stuff to spruce up the place can liao.

Wah... Ur reno is coming along very nicely! Lots of pretty pink, which I'm sure ur girl will love it. Check with u ah, a contractor recently told me that it's not very good to box up the pipes. Cuz the boards may not be able to stand the moisture in the bathrooms. But I see lots of forumers do it, so was wondering how. May I know wat type of materials ur ID use to box the pipes up? PVC boards, cornice materials or wat?
