  1. Nice nice! Yellow is a very warm and inviting colour. Have ur decided on which yellow? That time when my hb and I were choosing our living room yellow, we were very stress. Soooo many yellows!
  2. No wonder why u gota take unpaid leave lar. Signz. Hope that the next time will be the final time and u guys can settle this matter.
  3. Yoz, most welcome! Glad that the pics help. The dishrack/ss basket is 16", while the spice rack is 14". There are more sizes available at Hoe Kee, but these are the sizes that my contractor told me to get to fit into my cabinets.
  4. Haha, if you don't wana start a tblog, then just post here for us to loh!
  5. Hehe, I heard from roamca that kitchen should do cool colours like blue or green, to subdue the heat/"fire" there. It'll decrease couple's quarrels woh. Then dining room should do vibrant colours like oranges/reds/yellows to encourage appetite. Hehehehee
  6. Hee, pics pics of ur tiles/mosaics! Wana see how they are like and Haha, yah loh. Now seems lesser pple eat scissors cut rice liao. Maybe more and more pple are getting more health conscious and wonder if the food there are clean.
  7. Aiyo, the HDB officer abit too much. Possible to ask the air con pple to come during wkends? Well, just settle it once and for all, and next time dun need to worry loh.
  8. Hehe, I don't like to have lots of plates, especially mis-matched ones. Just 4 pax, so many plates for what? So I insisted on giving away lots of my MIL's plates before shifting over. But I should be buying more, cuz dun have small side plates. Hehe.. U can always get those large ss racks that pple use to put pots/pans to stack ur plates mah. I prefer mine this way for ease in taking/keeping them. Hee, but ur kitchen completed liao. Next time loh. Hee, most welcome! Glad the pics help. Hee, most welcome! Glad that the pics help. Hehe, it'll be good to buy ss racks for ur pots & pans too. I wanted them, but in the end kitchen too small, so didn't. Just rem not to attach the ss racks to ur cabinet doors k? That time Yeak and a sales pax from Poh Joo told us not to, as the weight may pull the doors down. Then over time, the doors may not be align to ur cabinets.
  9. Duh? Ur neighbour didn't even give u time to try and rectify the pblm? They think u guys and Gain City what? Got so much time to be able to immediately solve the pblm once they tell u abt the leak ah? Time is needed to find out and solve the pblm what. *faint*
  10. For me, I'll suggest that you list down the items that you wana keep in the kitchen and how you would like to keep them. That will tell you the amount of cabinets that you'll need. Then decide if you need only bottom cabinets or top and bottom, and whether you'll need cabinets throughout ur kitchen, or just a portion of it.
  11. haha, of course can lar. The thread is Mansionette Owner, not Current Masionette Owner mah. So previous, current and future owners should be welcomed. hehehehe... And u sure have lots of experiences that are very useful to EM owners leh. How's ur new place so far?
  12. Aiyo.. Ur hb.. Hee, urs sound rather bad, but at least it's just 5mins and u can rest after that.
  13. Signz, mine will hang rather wet laundry outside and wet our kitchen windows. Heng we rarely hang clothes outside to dry.
  14. Bengawang is not halal I think. Hehe, but Polar confirm halal, cuz I bought cakes/pastries from them for my malay neighbours. Or u can try Prima Deli or Secret Recipe.
  15. Hehe, for me, I'll say it's abit too early to meet up. The only stuff that can be discussed will be the designs of ur place. Yeak won't be able to give u an exact quotation, as he'll need to take actual measurements of ur place to do that. Therefore, all quotes will be based on the floor plan and the final price may be different. It'll be good to let Yeak know that you intend to engage him to do ur place, so that he will set aside time for ur place. For now, u can browse more pics to get ideas for ur place and share with him nearer to the date to fix the designs.
  16. Haha! Maybe maybe. But hor, I kinda wish that I didn't give my upstairs and downstairs neighbour, cuz never see them one. I would rather give more to my neighbours on the same floor, like those 2 doors away ones etc. heehhe..
  17. Signz, hope that ur pblm will be rectified soon bah. Btw hor, how come ur neighbour so bad one? Go straight to HDB instead of approaching u first to try to settle the problem?
  18. Hehe I like this one where I can configure it myself. If you take a look at my top crockery basket, the metal rack that allows me to stand my plates upright actually comes from this spice rack. Since it's detachable, I removed it and tied it to my crockery basket. Hehe, very happy with them so far. hehehehehe I wanted more of these, but like u, kitchen space constraints. So just made do with these loh. hehehehe
  19. Hehe, thanks! That IKEA shelves are really useful! I actually have 2 more in my kitchen, and a couple of them elsewhere. Good thing about them is that u can fix the shelf according to your needs. So you can actually fix 2 small ones (the shelf on top) together, or 2 large ones (the bottom shelf) together. Haha, that's my hubby's. Must bluff him to eat his meds. Hehehehe
  20. Wah, just one night and so many posts to read. hehehehe newnyew Haha, I like it when ur chit chat here. But we wana see ur pics!!! So when u get ur keys, start a tblog to show us all the pics! kthc Hee, no worries! Squat here as long as u guys like! It's good to consolidate one topic at one place, instead of shifting here and there. preciousjam Haha, I think that hubbies always think that such stuff are totally unnecessary. Good to have, but waste of $. I also wanted Blum at first, but in the end decided against it. Especially Yeak gave such sturdy ones for free.
  21. I think u got it wrong. It's not precious's. *Alamak, read back my posts and realized that I didn't reply u on the price. I can't rem the exact price for this one liao. If I'm not wrong, it's about $100. Bought it at Hoe Kee. It actually includes the adjustable dishrack that I put at my crockery basket and also the adjustable rack that I put my small bottle of oil, etc (can u see the green cable tie? I used that to prevent them from moving ) *
  22. Anti-slam Black Track (provided by Yeak) For me, it's really enough. Save $ on getting Blum. Sidetrack.. White stackable shelves from IKEA to maximize space in the kitchen (it's really very useful!) Electronics all hide away in cupboards! There's my steamboat sets, mini chopper, rice cooker and toaster. hehe
  23. Stainless Steel Baskets Bought all 3 from Hoe Kee and asked Yeak to install them for me Crockery (inside the cabinet and pulled out) Really much easier to take items from the back Sauces Rack (inside the cabinet, pulled out and from the top) Very neat and tidy, and makes searching for sauces while cooking very simple!
  24. Braxton hicks? What's that? *Ok, went to google for it. Got it liao. Was urs very bad or just mild ones?*
  25. Haha, tell ur ILs that the headache is the fun part. heheheh
