  8. Haha.. Other than that lar. Not everyone has this FS requirement leh. Haha, congrates congrates!
  9. Seems like not all Yeakers going woh. Did anyone ask the rest of the Yeakers who's not on the confirm list?
  10. adrian_john, like wat new said, Yeak will discourage his clients to do glass backing, esp at the hob area. Moisture or grease will seep in, and u won't be able to clean it. Not very good for long run. I wanted to do ss backing, but after doing up my tiles, Yeak suggested that I should just leave it and dun need to do any ss backing. Reason being that the tiles nowadays are of better quality and it's very easy to clean up after cooking. I decided to heed his advice and save $ on the ss backing. Till date, I have no regrets. The tiles are really very easy to clean. Abit of soap on my cloth and then use a wet cloth to clean the soap, and my cleaning is done. Have never used mr muscle at my kitchen wall tiles so far. I've fried stuff and cooked like 2-3 times a wk, and so far, the tiles at my hob area are still sparkling new. What I can suggest is that u get those glossy tiles in larger size to reduce the grout lines. Mine is 30x60cm wall tiles. New, have u tried LSH at Jurong? The one behind IMM? Think they have some nice mosaics too. Haha, I can imagine ah hui (the nice tiler) crying when he listens to wat u wan.
  11. Hehe, yupz. My level still ok, all still smell ok. Haha, I open my windows and door so that can say hi to neighbours walking by. Moreover, since the living room is further inside, and partially blocked by the staircase, there's not much of a privacy issue. But I find that lots of EMs are pretty dark at nite, esp if owners are upstairs. Then the living/dining/kitchen dwnstairs will b dark and abit eerie. hehe
  12. Haha, I not that sociable lar. hehehe... Just those tat will smile wen we meet at corridor/lift, I'll then try to make frens. If their faces black black wen we meet, wat for I go and try to make frens with them rite? Haha, I think so too. Poor ventilation also.
  13. Hehe, black & white house! Looks very sleek.
  14. Confirm! Yeak will either or ... Hee.. If u do mosaics for kitchen (not at stove/hob area), then it should be fine. Don't need to clean every weekend, cuz there's no moist to make the mould grow mah.
  15. Hehe, is that really fried rice? Looks abit wet woh. At first I thought it's yam rice, cuz of the colour. Then I saw sausages, then confirm it's fried rice.
  16. Congrates on ur new place! Nice greenery u've got outside ur house. Is that a BBQ pit in one of the pics? That'll be super cool. hehehe
  17. Wah.. The leaks look scary leh. Rem to check it out during reno woh, if not there'll be lots of pblm in the future.
  18. Haha, afternoon drink wine! So sinful! hahahahaa...
  19. Haha, I think it's the way EMs are built bah. The living room is always way inside. Last time at my IL's place, their living room was just next to the windows at the corridor. So most neighbours who walk by will chit chat abit at the windows. Of course, it's a loss of privacy, but it's easy to see and chat with neighbours. I'm 4th from the lifts on my level. My 1st 3 neighbours will open the doors most of the time, but windows close. So it's rather hard to see if anyone's at home and chat. The 2 neighbours after my place are very nice. They'll always stop by my windows/door to chit chat when they pass by, or will at least wave to us when they see us at the living room (my door and windows are always open until we sleep). Think there are such good or stuck up neighbours everywhere; they're not limited to EM owners only.
  20. I have no idea too... Guess I have to try again and again to find out wat's the main pblm bah.
  21. Hahahah! I treasure my beauty sleep too much to chat abt baking stuff in the middle of the nite leh. hehehehe It's BBron loh! hahahaa
  22. Ooooo Icic. So the alum wrap is to prevent water from seeping in. I tot it was to even out the heat or wat. hahaha.. Yeah, I saw springform pans b4. There's one at IKEA too. Was wondering if I should buy that anot. Looks cute. hehe
  23. 7yrs later?! Aiyo... That previous owner really ... Btw, nice purchases. Show us more! 5 items for $1.7k ah? Sounds reasonable woh.
  24. Congrates on ur new place! Redhill is a very good location woh ~ near to town. Go everywhere also very easy. Hehe, like wat precious said.. No need to headache, just hack everything!
  25. I gave mini pastries & cheesecake to my immediate neighbours only, 2 on either side of me and those above and below me. They are the neighbours who would be the most affected during reno time mah. Then wen I shifted in, I gave some food from my housewarming to 3 of my neigobours who are on the same level. The people on my level are mostly very nice. Don't think need to give to all of the units bah, just those who will be affected most during ur reno. U can always make a card and drop them into the others' letterbox to inform them. Can always invite the rest to ur housewarming in future to get to know them.
