http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=18850 I think it's the same as most EM. But w/out hacking away the wash area or extending it. I find it really very small leh. -

Hehe, yeah, very near the sch. I always tell pple it's just behind the Lakeshore condo. Got good and bad lar. I now super headache over the layout, cuz it's so small. -
Very very nice rounded dry kitchen island, and I love the built in wine rack!
-
Wah... Ur toilet and lights very nice.

Wah.. The grilles are always very x. Signz.. Yupz, just came back fro SBH. We actually went some time back, and saw a couple of items that we like, so decided to go back again to c c loh. Haiz.. The tiles that we like for shower area is like super x. $8psf. Most probs won't top up, but may get a similar one bah. Didn't get any samples from SBH, cuz didn't see much that we like. Even for those that we quite like, they are of weird sizes. And we'll have to search for similar size ones to match them. Will upload pics of those that we did take samples of tml. Cables are in office. Hehe.. What to do.. My hb & I love EMs. Even w/out the stairs, 1 level homes are also filled with accident prone areas. So decided to just go ahead with it loh. Just be more careful in future loh.

Morning! Hehe, we going to submit our reno loan application tml and ask our contractor to apply for the HDB permit too. Yesterday went to see tiles. Shortlisted afew liao. But we went to SBH when they were closing, so could not take the sample tiles that we saw and like last time. Going to SBH to take a look again before deciding. Morning! Wah! Heng he was alright! hehehe.. Yupz, lots of stuff cannot do cuz wana have kids
-
Hehe, yupz, soon. That's why must plan in advance also. hehehe.. think next time my house sure got lots of child-barriers. The kitchen maybe don't need, cuz will have a glass door. But the staircase will need 2 liao. One each at the top and bottom of the stairs.

Haiz.. Duno if it's cannot or if it can't be done. But u r rite, that big biz pipe travels from the P-trap to under the sink to the main pipe. Can't imagine if the poop stuck in the middle. hahahaha... So i guess must get one that the flushing power very good. hehe.. Thanks very much! Hope that with the pic, my contractor will be able to find a way to change the location. Hehe, yeah, got tell the contractor liao. Really hope can reuse. At least it'll be the same type and can save money.
-
Hee.. We did think of that. But scare next time got kids very dangerous leh.
-
Hehehe. They are going to remove the grilles first then hack away the tiles. They are just afraid that there will not be enough space to fit the grilles back, with the extra cement and different tiles.
-
Yah. We already don't intend to hack Lvl1 toilet.
-
Hehe, yah. I guess that's the only option bah.

Wash Area WC Problem My contractor confirmed that it is not possible to shift the WC location inside due to the pipes involved. As this WC is a P-trap, it'll need pipes to be extended out, and there'll be no space for the pipes at that little corner. Anyone's wash area's WC is a P-trap one as well? Are there any pipes extended out from your WC? Hello88, possible to trouble you to take a pic to show me your wash area's WC as well as the pipes please? Hee.. yupz, that's the reason why we did not hack away the wash area in the end loh. But we'll not be installing the instant heater there, cuz it's really too tiny. And my contractor said that there's no space to shift the WC inside. Kitchen Window Grills Problem These are the pics of the window grills. As you can see, there's just a finger space between the window grill and the wall. Our contractor reminded us yesterday that we'll most prob need to put some $ aside to change the window grill after re-tiling the kitchen. Anyone got this problem too?

Wah.. cools. We did think of hacking away the wash area too. But prevented us to do that, and also thought that it's oso gd to have a toilet at lvl1. Thanks for the explanation! So when r u gg to shift in? In time for CNY? -
Poor little doggie... Yeah, I also like things to be neat and all hidden away in cupboards. That's why bobian I have to have top cabinets.

Hi anthylau, Thanks very much for the pic. Your kitchen looks v big. Is it cuz the wash area has been hacked away? I'm still trying to imagine your kitchen's layout. -
Oh cool! That's exactly what I hope to do! Thanks very much for the layout hello88. It's really a great help. By the way, is it cramp to have the wc inside? It looks fine to me, but good to double check with you first.

Hahaha! Hope u mean I'll win everytime (instead of what you mean actually ) My hb likes mj with his frens, and they always one less player, so I'm roped in to be the spare player. hahaha... Hi anthylau, Very nice kitchen u got there. Is that a techno hob? Hehe, we wanted to get that at first, but changed our minds in the end. Still love the design though. Ur kitchen is very nice! Is the rubbish chute under the sink? Where will you be putting your WM? Paiseh to have so many qns. I'm still abit undecided on my kitchen layout, so keep looking at other's layout now. -
Spam chop Your embedded art clock sounds very interesting! Pics please!

Hee.. I think I don't have. I'll go and take a pic tonight and post tml to show ur bah. It's not in my quotes also. But all 3 contractors that I brought to my place to view also told me to prepare for this possibility. Apparently the window grill will have to be taken down to hack the tiles next to it. After cementing and new tiles, the grills may not fit anymore due to space constraint. Now wondering if any forumners experienced such thing before loh. Harlow harlow! I think my time line gota push back liao. Haha. I'm only going to sign reno contract tonight. Still need time to get loan approval and HDB permit leh. Most prob starting work after CNY liao. Signz.. Hee.. Very excited for you though. Have you applied for the permit yet? Must post pics on ur blog to show us k?
-
Check with you guys.. Most of the contractors told me that when I overhaul my kitchen (including changing of wall tiles), I'll most prob need to change the window grills as well. Reason being that there will be additional cement, etc, and the window grill will not fit anymore. Is it true? What's the est price for doing a new window grill just for the kitchen? *signz.. more $*
