U can always ask ur contractor to wire alternate lights together, so that you need not switch on all at the same time. Eg: Light num 1,3,5,7 & 9 together to one switch, and 2,4,6,8 to another switch.

Oh, Lights sth, lady boss's name is Julia/Juliet/sth like that rite? I went there as well. But the prices were ok ok only leh. And we had to say Rod's name then she "orh...." and gave us some discounts. For walk-ins, she gave us a rather high price.

Hi roamca! Thanks! Hope it'll fit well with into my bedrm. We shortlisted Citilights (at Jln Besar) and Extreme Lightings (at Balestier). Extreme Lightings items are rather cheap, esp the dwnlights. Citilights is on our list as they have up to 70% discount currently. When we went there a couple of weeks ago and chose some lights for them to quote, the total came up to about $1.6k, compared to other places which cost abt $2k.

Me ah? I think it took us abt 2mths. We took our own sweet time, and in the end kinda delayed out reno starting date.

Aiyah! Urs just start for afew days only, no need to paiseh lar. I paid him 50% in the middle of tiling works, the 1st 10% and 40% together. Maybe u can bring along the cheque this Sat wen u meet with him for laminate selections loh. Ooo! Our 2nd appt date the same! 1st April! I was telling my hb that the buyers better no play any April Fool jokes on that day and dun turn up! Harlow.. Mister... 1m is too high loh. It's 1ft lar. What I meant was that he did the standard height for tv console's ppts... Which is around 60cm? Can't rem nw liao. Aniway, it's way too high, and it'll be like btw my console & tv.. so ugly. So I told him to do standard height of 1ft, instead of standard height of "watever" for tv console. We did think of the trouble to switch on/off if we hide it behind tv console, but in the end decided to go ahead with it. Looks nicer mah. Aniway, my tv wall is actually a false wall partition to hide a beam at the side. So the electricians are going to hide the ppt box inside the partition. Therefore, only the ppt covers will be seen and my tv console can b placed nearer to the wall! Most welcome! Good things/info should be shared. Hee.. Hope that Yeak will be able to give you what u wan for your reno. PS: 20th Mar is my handover date. So it's not possible to come by on that day or after that like wat rondy suggested. Ask Yeak to bring u (if u wan, but I didn't do overhaul) just before handover. Or if u wana see my place with furnishing, it'll be after 23rd. Let me know then.
