Hehe, then get a small side table to put at the side of ur sofa? If not there'll be no place for u to place ur drinks, etc. Or u can consider getting something like this: http://www.ikea.com.sg/catalog/product_dis...229579-73843228 There's actually something like the table in the link at Furniture Club, but it's made of dark wood with or w/out rollers at the bottom. The legs is replaced by 1 pc of wood panel. Very nice and classy, and can be pushed in to save space. As for the bedsheets, I bought it at Robinsons, Raffles City. Do u wan the name of the brand? If yes, I'll go back & check for u.

familyof4 Thanks! Hope that with more paintings/art/pics, the place wun look so bare and white. rondy 1) that wall is actually a false wall to hide a pillar next to the balcony. Wires are hidden in the wall. Ppt behind tv console. 2) it's not a WIW. Just a normal 8ft wardrobe. roamca Harlow and thanks! I bought the clock at Marina Sq. There's a small shop near Molecule that sells such clocks and some other cute stuff. Normally it's abt $200. We got it at $165. The coffee table is from Furniture Club. There's a drawer at the side to put things as well. Furniture Club has quite a few other designs if you like to consider. Go to the one at Sungei Kadut to view more designs, but try to buy at IMM if possible. I noticed that IMM gives slightly better prices. U still haven buy ur coffee table? payretep hehe.. super dun match right? Thanks thanks! My fav colour is my MBR, so lomantic! mrspiglet u did a single light in the middle for ur MBR? Hee, next time consider changing the light to a nice pendant light, and it'll look wonderful too! Mine's actually L-box, with a tiny bit of false ceiling at the entrance to make the L-box one straight line. So when will u be shifting in? After Qing Ming?

End of Reno Time flies. We've stayed in our new place for 2weeks already. All of our stuff have been unpacked and all furnishing are in. The only things left are to search for our water feature (for foyer), little fish tank (for balcony) and some paintings/posters/art to place around the house. We also need some cushions for the sofa (as u can see, it's really empty). It's been total pleasure staying at our new home so far. Even the housework is not a chore! Climbing the stairs is fun, using the kitchen is utter bliss and my bedroom is haven. Hope that the joy never diminish. Here are the pics to share: Foyer, Balcony and Dining Room Foyer (future water feature at the empty wall opp settee) Balcony and it's wall decals (future fish tank on the left) Dining Room and View of Dining & Foyer together

Wah seh, so much trouble just to buy a small space. Haiz, HDB should make it really ez for us to buy, as they'll earn extra money that way woh. And since it's such a small amount, they should just let us pay in full via cpf or cash, without the need to re-mortgage again. Save everyone the trouble and extra cost to hire the lawyers again.

Of course bargain some more!!! Hehehehee.. Sometimes he won't budge on the price, but u can ask for more freebies like soft closing, new alum bamboo rods holders (duno wat they're called), etc etc. During the reno, we did change some stuff here and there. Sometimes he'll give it to us FOC, sometimes he'll just charge us a nominal sum. At the end of the reno, he actually gave us a final discount of about $300 plus. Ooo! I bought my lights at Extreme too! Show pics of the lights u chose k?

Congrates on ur new home! Wah, that seems to be a major reno, since u'll be retiling the whole place. How's ur search for ur ID/contractor?

Harlow! Thanks for the pics! Yupz, think it fits nicely into ur kitchen. Well, I do agree that worktop is better to b in darker colour, but it won't fit into my red & white kitchen. Guess I'll have to forgo it. Thanks though! Ur kitchen and toilet doors are very nice!

My balcony has a roof and windows when I bought them. So I just retained them loh. But I changed the flooring and did a cupboard at one side for storing my mj table and to put a little fish tank. Show u pics in a little while. Now resizing them.

Well, it really depends on u. Day curtains are more to give u some privacy while letting in the light and breeze, while night curtain is to block out light. Therefore, day curtains would be good if your rooms face other blocks. For me, my MBR faces a wide space, but I still did day curtains so that they can shade some glare in the afternoon. And also like what u said, I also like the feel of them! Go ahead and do bah. At most other rooms just do night curtains loh.

Very nice light! Haha! I actually prefer PS3 for games, esp those RPG games.

His workmanship is good, esp his tiling works. Carpentry is not bad as well. But u need to specify the num of shelves or internal settings u wan, if not, he'll just do the standard or an estimation for u. And it may not be what u wan in the end. Other than that, I think it's fine.

Wah! Then u shift so far away, ur mom sure v sad. heheh, 24 hrs in a day is not enough!

Hee... I was one of the satisfied customers of Red Apple. I bought a bedframe from them. On the date of delivery, they were on time. What's impressive is that they didn't complain at all that they had to carry my bed's base all the way up 12 stories! My headboard was able to fit into my lift, but not my bed's base. Imagine carrying the heavy base all the way up to L12, and then another level up again, as my bedroom is on the 2nd flr (I stay in an EM)!! No complains, no sulky faces. After they left, I tried my bed. And found that there was some creaky noises. My hb immediately called them back. They came up with some tools, knocked here and there abit. And the noises were gone.

Yoz, I read in galsmommy's t-blog tat u installed a Norbo wall-mounted drop leaf table in ur kitchen? Which colour did u get? I wanted to get one to have more workspace in my kitchen too! But when I check with IKEA, they said that they only have antique stain left, which totally does not match my kitchen. When I asked if I could paint it white, both IKEA and my contractor told me that the paint may not stay, and the dark stain will still be visible. Wondering how u match antique stain to ur white white kitchen. Can take pic to show pls?
