  4. Took some pictures, but can only upload them tonight! can't access web photo sites in the office!! Good thing I went to the site earlier, the goondu painter was going to use matex paint instead of nippon as we had agreed on...I'm already savinig them money by painting the whole place white!! The tiler was there to tile up the backyard washing/cooking area... ID chose the tiles but they were very nice! BTW, am changing all my swithces to Legrand, but the original ones used by the develope was MK, does anyone want them -- FREE!
  5. Having to travel for work in the midst of reno means I haven't had time to update this!! Can't find the cables to the camera so will take pics using my iphone one of these days.... Blinds for whole house - got a few quotes, waiting for the one my ID recommended. Is $8 psf expensive? --- done, got them from Class curtains in Siglap on the recommendation of my ID 2. confirm decking - want to box up the planter, make more room in the balcony. need to find someone who can make it easy to clean the floor under the decking --- confirmed with Styline on the recommendation of Umaisarah! 3. glass top for my dining table 4. buy ceiling fan - ID handling 5. learn to tile the backyard wall - got my ID to do it, at the price I was happy with! 6. buy stainless steel trolley from ikea for backyard wet kitchen 7. buy 2 single induction cookers for wet kitchen 8. find steel shelving for my walk in pantry - builit in shelves in white laminate so far so good, hope I can move in the weekend of 1st May to take advantage of the long weekend!! Will post pics soon!!
  6. hehe my fiancee said that same thing, we can buy one chair at a time!
  7. well, considering it's inclusive of 6 chairs it is still slightly cheaper than the John Erdos ones....
  8. oops! sorry, the $16450 is for the plastic wicker set only! The custom made dining table was $2400 without the glass top but with 6 teak chairs
  9. Hiya, not really promotion, just have to bargain really hard!! The owners are Bob and Doreeen and Bob designs the tables on the spot along with actual measurements. Hi sorry no, will take pics when they arrive and post in my blog.... which I always forget to update hehe
  10. I got them in Pasardina in Dempsey, where I got my teak table custom made. Cost me $1650 for a table with 4 chairs (with a tempered glass top). Really loved the Ohmm ones but it was soooooooo expensive!!
  11. I agree bout the legrand switches, can't plug in say blackberry and iphone together side by side.. wonder if we put them up and down instead?
  12. yes, made of teak. haha i think all of us females are the same!!!
  13. hi, am doing about the same as you are and have confirmed at $16k, excluding electrical works... am already thinking it's too ex!
  14. hey Zelly, was looking for deck tiles also and found some in Teak and Mahogany in Pasir Pajang Road - $11 something per 30 X 30 cm tile. You can check it out
  15. ---- oh no! just bought one of those plastic woven chairs!! hope mine lasts... forgot to ask about the warranty. didn't like the solid teak set coz it'll look sooooo bulky in my puny balcony
  16. Hey, have you collected your keys??
  17. thanks!!! i need one that is 15 mm coz it's my dining table glass top, bit thicker safer looking forward to the details!! The size will be close to yours, 190 X 90 cm... Maybe will extend to 200 cm.....
  18. Hi, may i know where you made the glass top? Is it tempered?
  19. hey, I used Elite movers (James Chong 9128 9555) for all my moves, really happy with them. i think I had a little less stuff as you, I paid $630 with an additional stop at my rental apt for some of the boxes.... Came on the dot at 9 am, packed my stuff and by 11 am we were off! finished unloading at my new place at about 1 pm.
  20. I'd love to have a Home Depot here!!!Sadly none....
  21. I went to their so called "closing down sales" the stuff are ok, run of the mill styles, quality not bad also... but hard to hunt through the display coz it's all jumbled up together
  22. should be possible... don't mind the DIY projects too.. am trying to learn how to tile also coz the quotes i've gotten to tile my backyard is wayyyyyyyy too much!
  23. yep, am tempted to do that, but i need the balcony wood to match the planter wood... wonder if they can do that?? thanks for the info!!!
  24. just realized i've not taken any pictures of the house at all!! weird isn't it? Think I need to follow Umaisarah and do a to do list: 1. Blinds for whole house - got a few quotes, waiting for the one my ID recommended. Is $8 psf expensive? 2. confirm decking - want to box up the planter, make more room in the balcony. need to find someone who can make it easy to clean the floor under the decking 3. glass top for my dining table 4. buy ceiling fan 5. learn to tile the backyard wall :) 6. buy stainless steel trolley from ikea for backyard wet kitchen 7. buy 2 single induction cookers for wet kitchen 8. find steel shelving for my walk in pantry
  25. that's actually why I'm considering it also! coz it's eco-friendly... but can you lift the panels up to clean underneath? I have visions of dead lizards and dried leaves accumulating below the decking that's why am considering laying teak tiles instead... so easier to lift up and clean! BTW, went to look at the bamboo bathroom caddy in Howard's storage world the other day, looks very nice.. will deffo get some when I've moved in.
