I love to cook too... been trying to organize something with friends so I can try out my oven. The TV show I love is Masterchef in BBC Entertainment... love the amateur cooks serving up gourmet looking food.. so jealous coz I don't think I can do so well

I get my plants from far east flora in thomson road, i used to hate gardeniing till that fateful event (you know what, right??) and then i started to find it very relaxing.... am now a member of their gardening club which entitles me to 10% off plus special deals sometimes... let me know if you want to go and i can pass you my member number

oh good thing i read this! was going to buy the herbs over the weekend. I thought herbs didn't like direct sunlight? hmmmm time for a re-think! was hoping to grow tomatoes in a pot also... maybe not practical now

thought of that but worried it would block the hallway going to the bedrooms? haiz.. need to see properly... plus my kachang shelving (called kachang coz can move around, like those selling kachang in the malls hehe) is there.... no lah, you notice i didn't take pics of the guest room or MBR? all the mess is in there!!! only the outside looks neat! I didn't have a choice but had to drill coz my tapestry is very very heavy... needed 2 nails to hang it. Got a mirror from Erdos which must also be drilled in. so aiya, since drill a few already, drill all liao! haha

yah! originally wanted to get 2 for the guest room... so like 2 single beds put together, no more stock so ended up giving it to my helper as a bed. my current living room only the sofa to sit on... if got guest, will have to bring in the chairs from the balcony and dining chairs to sit on!

hey... nice place!!! we have the same sofa bed for our helper and the same shower caddy!! I also really like that single chair you have in the living room.. still trying to see if i can put something like that in my tiny tiny living room!

I like the workmanship of Pasardina in Dempsey, service is very good also. they are slightly more pricey than Mirage fine teak etc, but makes up for it a lot with the quality.

any ideas on how to make this look less like a geeky room and more like a master bedroom? The console on top is the only way to put the stuff coz the walkway between the bed to the wall is very narrow... anyway to dress this up? Would another shelf on top work?

Been travelling lots so no time to update my blog... but need advice for our MBR tv area... the area looks like a geeks room with all the cable boxes! any ideas on how to do it up to look nicer?? here is the pic will update with more pics tomorrow!

I bought a few ikea billy bookcases in 1999, it was still ok in 2008 and i was still able to sell them off for $20 each! Think it's the luck of the draw or maybe the materials 11 years ago were much better than what they are using now...

hi sam... good luck on your reno! have found the missing MK switches, they were all used up in the additional points I got them to install, thought they used Legrand but Jerome said since all hidden they used back the MK switches instead. Sorry!!!!

my ID used Nippon exterior paint but due to the decking being installed AFTER the painting, some parts of the side of the balcony wall is peeling. I'd like to use something more durable than just exterior paint, any suggestions? Thanks!
