some home appliances we bot during the recent philips carnival sales... bag-less vacuum cleaner. the box was wet cos it was raining so heavily! rice cooker. lotsa ppl snatching this model @ the sale. iron. some models were already OOS by the time we reached @ 10am. and one electric kettle which i forgot to take pic of it.

just to share our good experience with U-Home. our reno by U-Home has been completed and handover recently. very satisfied by their service and glad that we chose them even tho' their quote may not be the cheapest. the ID serving us, maintain his good service since the day we met him till now. during the initial planning stage before we award him with the job, the ID serving us spent hours and hours with us trying to understand our needs and requirements. during the reno, he gave us constant updates as & when things are done/completed so we don't need to check the house everyday. and if we feel that things are not nicely done up when we check the house on weekends, he'll get his guys to rectify the next working day. thanks to his good service, it made the reno experience a good one for first time home owners like us.

think our dining light is quite common. saw alot of people buying it. anyways, cant wait to see your pics soon. white is not hard to maintain? shd have gone for it. sigh~ too late to do anything now. anyways, hb said it look ok with our black & white kitchen... how's your reno progress? keke.. welcome to the lollipop family. look forwards to see more pics of your house soon!

our Kelvin Giormani sofa and coffee table has been delivered along with our dining table and chairs yesterday. i must compliment their good service throughout the whole shopping experience. i called on Monday requesting for delivery yesterday and the warehouse guys called me on Friday to reconfirm my delivery. they even went thru' the list of items I have. thumbs up for their delivery guys who have to carry and lugged the sofa and climbed 13 storeys to my house as the lift couldn't fit the huge sofa. they didn't even complaint about it and smile after that whole process. highly recommend them for new home owners like us.

we didnt regret for choosing black mirror as it was our ID's recommendation from the start. now that we've completed our reno, we're loving the end pdt. you may see my MBR wardrobe and feature wall at my t-blog. we used black mirror for both.

we wanted to buy the white colour initially but we tot of the maintenance part (oil stains, etc etc).. we not so keen le. so we bot the silver which didn't really match our black & white colour kitchen. and yes, the silver is $100 more expensive across all the shops i've enquired. keke.. forgot what was the reason they gave le.

^5 once again. i bot it from Kong Tai (tel: 6565-8924) in late apr/early may for $1k. that's the cheapest price i cld get during that time. the big 3s (harvey norman, best and courts) were selling ard $1.2k. the white one is abt $100 cheaper. it comes with an option of either free dvd player or mobile fone + $50 robinsons voucher.

thanks pinkpetter. look forward to see more of your reno pics too. keke.. we like the MBR curtain the most. feels very cozy in there. thanks dove. its very true that lollipop does give us a very cheerful feeling whenever we step into the house. i was smiling all the way when i first saw it after the first coat of paint, cos i know we've made the right decision to paint it lollipop. yummy yummy!

our payment terms stated on contract: 10% deposit upon confirmation 40% upon commencement of award jobs 40% upon measurement and fabrication of wood-joinery works 10% upon completion (exclude additional or variation order) but our payment are: $1k deposit when we signed the contract 50% after commencement of work 40% after all our carpentary works are almost completed still holding on to last 10% + additional works cos we havent meet our ID yet.

keke.. no lollipop kitchen, unless there's lollipop colour tiles.. thanks, we keep the kitchen simple so its easy to maintain too.

i've unpleasant experience at FM branch too, as shared earlier. in the end, i went straight to their IMM branch and bought the kelvin giormani sofa which i saw at FM. the attitude of the asst mgr of IMM is so much better than FM. the asst mgr serving me was so stuck up!!

more kitchen pics... overview kitchen sink & tap hood & hob samsung 2 door fridge thanks! your reno is looking good too. thanks yang guo, for the advise. seems like this dining set is very common... but which also means, its nice. we're okay to wait for the black chairs since we're not in the hurry to move in yet. i agree that the white chairs are difficult to maintain... and agreed that FC shouldn't take in new orders when the chairs are OOS. keep my fingers crossed that the dining table and chairs will arrive together with the sofa.

^5 on metal strips. yes reno almost done, pending some rectifications to be done. my funitures will only arrive in oct.. 8 weeks from the day we order... will post more pics soon.
