  1. @apperceive Here are the pics of the aircon trunking. The left corner of the 2nd pic is where they drilled the hole for my living room aircon.
  2. @apperceive Found a pic of the console send by my ID previously. The TV wire goes in here, where I drew the box. ?
  3. @apperceive Wall color first! ? Gotten the idea From Pinterest. Initially, wanted to match the blue wall with a white bed frame. Couldn’t find one I like so, I switched to wooden frame instead. Took me some time to find this Oak bed.? As for the TV console, it’s part of the carpentry work done by the ID company. All my plugs/power points are hidden inside. Will take pics of it and the Aircon trunking when I dropped by this weekend.?
  4. Got them from Namu Furniture. It's solid American Oak Wood. Not white. Just natural oak. ?
  5. My bed has finally arrived! Added a bedside table once I have confirmed I have enough space for one. ?
  6. @deltor71 Congrats!! I remembered 5 years ago, I was also super excited after choosing my unit at Northshore Residence. Like you said, when you planned your new home space living, go along with your lifestyle. For me, other than my bedroom, the 'centerpiece'/'main story' is my study table. My friend, whom just selected her unit in Punggol Point, her 'centerpiece' is a big dining table! Your design will change as the years go by. My current flat design/color theme is very different from the ones I started out with 5 years ago. (The only thing that is constant is the wall must go away! ) You have plans to go for ID consultations?
  7. Hi Everyone, When your renovation is done and finally you can move in, other than choosing an auspicious day, did you do any other 'special rituals' on that day?
  8. It's true if you opt in OCS ,it will save you money ( can pay using yr CPF too). Then, you can just overlay with the tiles you like. At that point of time, all I know is, I want to take away the wall. Thought it will be more straight forward to have a clean unfinished floor to start off with. $3,400 bao ga liao. (includes all) The hacking of the wall cost me about $600.
  9. Did you opt in on the OCS? I didn't so, everything for the floor, was from scratch. I want my floor cold cold. That's why i didn't go for Vinyl Flooring. Just checked out the Marble Vinyl. Looks quite good!
  10. Thanks! The floor tiles is actually homogeneous tiles, not marble. The bedroom/living room flooring is around $3,400. I specifically requested this big big tile (600mmX600mm) and this design. There are a few choices but I selected this one cos it's neither too plain nor has too much "veins".
  11. Bought this from Shopee! Just hung it up at my kitchen doorway!
  12. Yep, that was my exact thought, if without this barrier! Just to cool my bedroom, turning on 2 aircons every night is abit too much. ? My reno is about $30k. My friend just gotten a 2 room BTO at Punggol Point this year. Paid more than $170k (opted in OCS) for it, 16th floor? The point is , even if I added up my BTO purchase + reno, is still less than what she paid for her BTO flat ? I'm quite surprised that they have raised up Punggol 2 room BTO flat prices so high...
  13. Thanks! Love the way it turns out! Washing machine will be placed underneath the customized shelving/ table I’ve installed in the kitchen. Have to be front load type.
  14. @Phillip Don’t think it’s 100%. As I haven’t move in so , yet to try how well the curtain can keep it in. At least some barrier , better than no barrier! ?
  15. Need to measure and get back to you. Probably is all standard size for 2-room BTO. Perhaps another forum member can assist @apperceive ? As I will not be able to answer so soon. Or maybe @BunniBoi can help you cos he just moved in.
  16. I did consider the idea of putting a pole in the middle and like you said, easily turning the TV 180 degrees to watch programs in my bedroom too. Firstly, pole in the middle, eerrm ...not that pretty, and secondly, I think it was ingrained in me even when I was a kid, that it's bad for eyesight when watching TV in bed. I do like the open space. Less cramp, in comparison with a wall in the middle. (no offense to those who kept the wall! ?) Yep, placing the sofa at the partition area is a good one and I've seen that in pinterest too. Another option I could think of, is to buy a projector and place it on that same media console, pointing at the sofa. Then using the wall (area above my sofa) as a movie screen.
  17. Initially, I didn't want any curtain (those regular types) but this smart curtain that could give 2 looks (full cover or sheer), makes me change my mind. Oh, the writing desk plus the storage cabinet is about $1,600. That wooden thingy under my desk is the center support beam. Yes, all the fitting , fans, lightings and stove/hob are from LBS. One stop shop all!!
  18. It's actually called " Smart Curtain". You can find the video here: 2 blinds & the partition curtain is slightly more than $1k. As for the Renovation, it cost me about $30k. ?
  19. Thanks! Will do the decorating bit by bit! Really excited, as I have many ideas !
  20. Ok, today signed the handover papers liao. Headed out and reached my new place before 10am this morning, due to several incoming deliveries. Overall, I'm very satisfied with my ID. Except for one miscommunication ( had to Grab car from work to my place cos we both assumed the other party is there, for the aircon installation ?), I never had to worry about the progression during the renovation and he always send pics to me when certain job is done. I've read in the forum before, that, talking/selecting an ID is like interviewing. Once the 'chemistry' is right and everything will be smooth like butter. Not much furniture yet. Will post fully furnished pics later, hopefully ,in November. But for now, here are the pics:
  21. Hi @mmoh! Oh, I have no plans to get big fridge cos I hardly cook. Now, the entryway. Same as many new homeowners, I've also installed mirrors on the DB box door and build shelves inside. Supposedly for storing shoes, but for me, I'll probably ended up storing my books here! lol!
  22. @BunniBoi, Howdy Neighbor! My Reno is almost done! I didn't create separate blog. Simply posted/sharing my pics on the 2-Room BTO Topic.
  23. Next, Kitchen. Didn't like the HDB hanging rack so I had it removed. Asked my ID to change to hooks so I could use bamboo rods instead. I was told there's extendable aluminium hanging/drying rods, has anyone tried them before? As my theme is Blue, I go for the Royal Blue color for my kitchen cabinet.
