That's why my wife and I are not taking our kids' lives for granted. There have been some many unfortunate cases of kids climbing out of the windows in Singapore, this is really not a joking matter. The diamond grilles we have at home, are still as good and strong as new, absolutely no rusting on the wire at all even after 2 years' of installation

OMG, I am also shocked to know that HDB didn't perform any test on the Invisible Grilles at all. Looking at how flimsy and unreliable the invisible grilles are, I also hope HDB or even BCA do some testing on Invisible Grilles, and check whether it's safe for usage at all. What's the point of installing the invisible grilles if it's unsafe for the public?

Ya, I went to check around for a few invisible grilles suppliers, and I found out that there 3 different types in the market, the nylon coat ones, teflon coated ones and the diamond grille. I saw the demonstration for these 3 types, the nylon & teflon coated invisible grille were cut easily with a scissor and burnt with open flame, the diamond grille was ok as there's no coating, it's practically a smooth thin bar without any coating. The wire tension for the nylon & teflon coated invisible grille were quite weak as well, and when I press onto one end of the wires, it became very loose. They demonstrated the diamond grille to me by taking away one of the wires in the middle, and I saw the difference as the rest of the diamond grille wires were unaffected. I will say diamond grille are more reliable as compared to the rest

Their diamond grille system uses a tiny solid steel wire, and there's no plastic coating, so I don't have to worry about the plastic coating peeling off. I didn't cut or burn the other invisible grille wires, I don't think they will allow me to do so on their displays, so I didn't even ask. To me, the diamond grille system looks similar to the invisible grille, only that they changed the wires into the solid steel wires. I guess it's better you go down to their showroom and see the differences

Those videos are true. I went over to their showroom and the company (Diamond Grille Systems Pte. Ltd) gave me a live demonstration between their diamond grille system vs the invisible grille. When they burn and cut the invisible grille wire, I was shocked but I was still a bit not too convinced, I am unsure what kind of wires are other invisible grille companies using, so I went to a few of the invisible grilles companies to verify, and the ones they have are using the same wires or similar wires shown to me during the demo, strands of small wires (like those electrical wires) with plastic coating. Then I was convinced about their diamond grille system, they are using a tiny solid steel bar instead of these small wires with plastic coating used in invisible grilles. During the demo, I did try to cut and burn their diamond grille wires, and indeed I can’t cut or burn it. Their diamond grille wire looks as thin as the invisible grilles ones, so I decided to use their diamond grille system instead, especially when my friend shown me their invisible grille, some of the plastic coatings on the wires have peeled off and it looked terrible. Hope this helps!
