To Gingerbelle, 1st of all, I would like to check with you on the location of your Resale HDB apt. 2nd thing is to check with you on the age of your resale hdb apt. If your apt that you've bought over is at least 6yrs old & above, I would strongly recommend you to hack & re-do the floor tiles because: Yes, overlaying will be cheaper as you need not pay for the hacking of the existing tiles. But the problem with overlaying is that cement does not stick well on a smooth surface such as wall tiles even with chemical adhesive added. So theres a possibility of tiles popping out prematurely. You have to decide between saving a thousand plus dollars & risk having tiles falling out / popping out in a year or two or paying a fraction more of the overall amount & having the peace of mind. Design is all about practicality & aesthetics.

Hi Cherry, I would generally suggest to you to do rewiring for the whole house to save the trouble & hassles in future whether you intend to stay in that place for long term or for short term.

The proper sequence is: 1. Lay all floor tiles living room, follow by the rooms, kitchen & two bathrooms. 2. Lay wall tiles for both bathroom & the kitchen. 3.Plaster all walls & ceilings 4. Rewiring of whole house 5. Install Aircon & aircon trunking 6. False ceiling / L-Box with light holder if you're doing any. 7. Install all Piping & sanitary wares & bathroom accesscories. 8. Painting of whole house wall & ceiling. 9. Install all carpentry works including kitchen cabinet. 10. Wash up whole house 11. Final Touch Up & return keys to owner.

Hi Cute elephant, For your information, the hacking of the existing floor tiles & disposal of the debris & haulages will take at least 2-3 days based on zero hiccups. Then the delivery of tiles must be right on the dot + zero problems when you open to check every piece of tiles. Then workmanship must be properly done. Based on methods of laying the tiles either wet / dry method, plus minus, give & take at least 2-3weeks. So once the flooring is done, the washer will come in & do chemical washing for you, and you need another 1-2 days for the place to dry. Thru out the entire process, no one stays in the house. Trust me.

You can still used the normal mop, but try to squeeze dry the mop manually (using ur bare hand) or you can buy those commercial pails that comes with the squeezing thing in the bucket to squeeze dry the mop which most cleaners used in shopping malls. I can't recall the brands, too many already. But you can used Dettol (green colour bottle with white cap) 1500ml - Cuts thru dirt & grease - Kills disease causing germs even in diultion - Deodorises with pleasant fresh scent - Suitable for all floors Please follow the instructions / directions for usages.

Hi skyy, I would recommend to you to used a not so wet mop to just go thru the place as no matter what, granite is still a porous stone. It will still absord water. Remember, the mop cannot be too wet. Used hot / warm water to mop the floor to quicken the process of floor drying. As for the detergent wise, try not to use those detergents that are too acidic for e.g. like Mr. Muscle The normal blue colour detergent that we used to clean the floor will do.

I really doubt that you will pay me if the works were not completed. Morever, you & Lynn did a thorough check infront of us & I'm sure you had done your inspection as well. After all, I think is a small misunderstanding. Regards to the changing of the base wood of the vanity. I never say no to your requested & had changed it immediately & its at my own cost. In the end, I have to redo & at my own cost for something that its not my fault. I think you forgot again ! The top up you make is as per my sms , is for the L-box depth that you want. I couldn't complete your reno as per schedule just becos of your contractors again & again delay & can't even fix a date. Do you know its hard for me to book my other group of workers & I had to changed the timing again & again as I need to book them 1 week in advance as explain to you through sms. Just like to share with you, that I almost got into depression due to your project but I fully understand that I had to fulfill my job no matter how tough it will be. If I'm just anyone (sales designer) I think I will be the first to resign & just escaped from it. But I didn't do that & still serve you with my best.
