  1. 1 to 2 % of commisions is a very high end commision based payment don't you guys think esp with no other scope required other than the introduction of buyer and seller. I mean they legaly dont even have to do paper work or source any other info for you .....right ? Considering the percentage is of the total resale price one Family upgrading from a 4 room to lets say an EA pays roughly around 10k in commision out. Not withstanding the fact that its cold hard cash. All for some adverts and introduction and relevant market know how. I read Applefreak's post just now that he/she made some time back. We should really do it on our own given that now the climate in HDB is easier paper work and more avenues for information gathering. The next time I am selling or moving I am going to do it on my own. Just finished calculating my total commisions paid out, saw the 10k plus figure and needed to share my sorrows ha ha ha so to speak.
  2. Hey There Why not share your exp: with the contractor, it would give us a head start in not selecting them should they really be bad. Would love to know you could PM me the contractor guy name in private should you not want to say it out in the open, just for my personal info Thanks Ahead
  3. Hi there , wow Nov till now seriously long for EA Reno ya ? Oh ya congrats on your beautiful new home and new blog
  4. wOW Seriously nice table Considering the bench style seating on one side and the asthetics of the table itself, me a tight budget idea kinda guy thinks its an okay price actually. Would fit into the Bali" theme perfectly I would think.
  5. Hi Hi I am in the same boat , which is starting to look like a ship now. Taking possesion of my resale EA in Hougang soon, 141 SQM. Already cracking my head over quotations and which Reno Contractor or ID will be good. Spent like an hour reading all the post from the Ho Bee thread. Thinking of asking them for a rough quote to kick start things. Oh yeah keep dreaming of hacked walls and open room concept every night , but wake up to price reality every morning .. Sigh ...
  6. Hi there ! Is the stain patch still there ? if so try this. Use a cloth slightly moistened with vinegar and rub over the stain and then wipe dry with a dry cloth and then use a cloth with warm water to wipe over the stain again. Repeat over a period of two to three weeks. Use the vinegar sparingly though ya ! Safest way to remove blood stains from natural flooring, should do wonders for your urine patch. Oh and NO! I never had to wash blood off my floors
  7. Oh, no they actually have been house broken other than the odity of accidents once awhile they normaly do not uriine out in the hall or other parts of the house. Their urine area is specific to the service balcony only but during the time they were house broken ya, they did urine on the granite but no stains were left perhaps due to the fact we normaly clean it up fast. Your replies have helped a great deal applefreak, thank you so much at least now I get the picture. Cheers Ya David
  8. Hey there apple freak, thanks for your reply. I currently live in a 4 room, full granite floor with both my dogs. I was just wondering if the fear is of the urine staining the floor or the floor soaking up the urine and odouring the place. I have seen neither occur during the 4 years they have been with me. So assuming I debunk the myth of pets staining the granite floor, would then the next fear for prospective pet owners wanting to floor their homes in granite/marble be the scratching of the floor by the pets ? Seriously curious, and worried because me and my wife are planning our new home in a lighter shade of granite and if it really is the case of either the staining/odouring behind the bad idea theory we are kinda safe. But if it is the scratching or something else we would deff' have to settle with Homo' tiles Thanks once again!!
  9. Hey Hey experts..... Hi guys/gals, is it really a bad idea to use either granite of marble to floor your entire house if you have pets ? I have two dogs could someone tell me why, have heard of it has being a bad idea but still don't get the gist of it. Thanks David
