My 2 cents: Every where is warm during the heat period in our "fair" country. Some hotter than most and some slightly less warm. Diff' is not really something worth to factor in when picking your house, say for example who in which location, facing any particular direction did not feel the heat wave these past few days/nights ? The diff' is to minimal to worry about in our sunny island Singapore in my very humble opinion, shaded by blocks/trees/anything you will still feel the heat in hot times. I have lived in 5 diff areas all HDB flats and my opinion stems from my living in my previous homes.

I second that statement , never plan anything too much, I think they call it Murphy's Law : Once too well planned anything that can go wrong will go wrong haha

Try this place they are the experts for HDB store racks. They do it full time. They should be lower they quote 188 for the whole normal L rack so yours hould cost only a little more than that I think. Plus 5 years warranty. 81812867 Saw the advert in the paper yesterday. Hope it helps !!

I spent my childhood in Hougang too, I am now moving from Hougang to Hougang I used to play football in Monfort Sec's Field on Sat's and Sun's. I also used to walk all the way to Buangkok Kampong and buy the Herbal Black chicken and fresh beef wor Hougang is a place that grows on you, I have heard that people who stay in Hougang always like to move to Hougang too.... same case for all my 4 Neighbours on the same row in my old flat .... Ya I agree with your sentiments exactly which is why I am going to engulf my decision with a follow up of learning to be my own part time agent, in short meaning I am going to get myself accredited as an housing agent in order to facilitate myself acting for my self and saving my own hard earned money. Ta dah Ha Ha , anyway I am just Moaning I guess about the heavy commision not trying to start drama or nor did I mean to ruffle any Housing agents feathers.
