Chapter 7 ending... The kitchen lights are not up yet hence there's really nothing much i can snap. The master bedroom hasn't quite been done. The bomb shelter's work has not started. So far, those are pretty much it. All in progress though. My bed's not up yet! As for furnitures and equipments, we bought a sony 40" lcd tv, bought sofa, bought matresses, and the major items left to buy are: 1. Washing machine 2. Fridge 3. Curtains 4. Duvet, bedsheets, etc. 5. Vacuum (the water kind?) 6. Dustbin? 7. Computer chairs Ok, i'm starting to list all teeny weeny stuff already. That's all for now. Till then!

Chapter 7 continues yet again... Our VERY HUGE Tv console + feature wall..! (oh gosh, typo. *FROM. HAHA) (the mirror's covered by wood right now...) If only i can take the full view of it all in one. The whole wall feature extends from one end of the wall to the entrance of the kitchen! See how the sliding kitchen door goes behind the mirror? Hehe. NICE!

Chapter 7 continues again... AND, MY NICE BLACK WARDROBE!!!!

Chapter 7: MIA but back with MORE. The house is in the mist of getting the carpentry works up! Going all well so far.. and yet again i gotta apologise for the lousy quality pictures you're gonna see. My cam's at habourfront in the hands of the experts! To start it off... Chapter 7 continues... I heard the painting color's gonna change to suit the wood. Well we'll see. And next up, MY ROOM! Lovin'it.

Hello! Hehe. I'm not sure of the cost for just hacking the wall eh.. anyway saw ur blog.. beautiful shoes! And good luck for your reno! Hey, after seeing your reply i went up to lvl 34 to take a look. I'm not sure if it's your unit.. but i saw a home with really pretty renovation! the walk in area had a wall with baroque sorta prints. If only my parents could adopt more of these baroque styles in the whole house You got a tblog or blog of your reno?

Chapter 6: I realised... I never did do up any floorplan! And so i did... This is base on the initial plan. How much changes, i do not know. We've all things to consider.. the space, the budget.. the many many other considerations.. Once i've got the time, i'll probably do a zoom in of each room with more details. Sounds like fun. Hee! In the meantime... *Walks off back to my game.. Dota!*

Haha me too.. love high units ;D I dread the crowds in orchard too.. but i guess it's a habit for friends around me to say "let's meet in town!".. so staying around the area helps to get my lazy bum outta home!

Chapter 5: the COLORS! The first coat of the intended colors are UP! They sure are efficient and keeping to the schedule as communicated. Room #1: Intention was to keep things bright and sunshine! It's afterall for a teenager full of vibes and energy! A darker shade of green will be up during the second coating for one wall.. in the mean time, we ain't seeing the whole picture yet. oh well.. till then. Somehow, i feel this room lacks personality. Room #2: MY ROOM! Right from the beginning, whenever asked for a choice or opinion, i've got only one reply, "I WANT IT DARK". And DARK is what i got! Even though my idea of having a baroque theme room was tarnished, i just had to stick to my dark theme. I'm totally loving the feel of the atmosphere in my newly painted DARK room! Can't help but look at it afew more times when i was there... (Downside: it really does make the room appear smaller. I can live with that, hehe.. i'm so turning gothic soon.) Room #3: The MBR was designed to be cosy and classy. Well, i'm feeling it already. My digicam bombed, hence all the lousy picture quality taken with my hp I gave the living room a miss since my hp couldn't capture much of the living room's color anyway. Oh well... Gotta get it fix at habourfront soon Oh and we went light hunting today! Nothing interesting to me since most of the lights are "downlights" (am i spelling this thing right? ><) And still angry with my digicam being spoilt, i took nil pictures during the light hunt. Guess i'll just snap the pictures when they are delivered or when they're up! Total damage for lights: $1300 (i think? I'm not the one paying =p)

Chapter 4: Nothing to SEE?! After being banned from stepping into the house for a week... tiling's all done. BUT, before i even got to see anything, every inch and every corner was already covered by cardboards! All that was left "open" for view was the "foyer" area. If it wasn't for opening the door... i probably would have nothing to see at all I was trying so hard to peep at any possible edge or corner they might have missed out, but seriously, NOTHING. All covered. Kudos to uncle chua and his team, super duper hardworking and serious in their job... So all i could snap pictures of.. were these? (Still as dusty as ever...) The lines between the tiles are suppose to be black. But it is SO dusty, they all look white... I guess i'll only get to see how it really looks after the final wash Not the whole house is laid with black tiles. But that's all we can see so far... And thankfully we didn't lay the whole house with these black tiles... they are SO REFLECTIVE! See the evidence... (uncle chua warned us of wearing skirts... and now i see why...) So far, from just that little exposed surface we see, the tiling looks good. Status: Met the carpenter today, chose the color, chose the material, decided on the measurements... just looking forward now.

Haha yar, i added the paw prints in photoshop. Since nothing's really done yet, the pictures i took turned out all boring... added the paw prints just for fun (and they look nicer than footprints) =p

You're staying 4 levels above me right? the view is no good? We're kinda blocked by the HDB office building too, especially from the living room... just that the posted pictures don't show

Chapter 3: When things get BORING... There's nothing else happening in the house till next week. But since i was there, i took random pictures again! (somehow, i love this smiley) NEXT WEEK PLEASE ARRIVE FASTER!

helo another neighbour! you mean the layout of the pics posted? I'm using photoshop. They are done with just rectangles and fonts **** Reno progress: Ceiling's done i heard. Tiling's only gonna start next week, so till then... no surprises. It's becoming fun to see how the house has something new added everyday..
