His company only got 2 ID. He n his partner. My reno cost $45K including electrical. 5 room flat.

Super excited Just got our keys just now. Met up with Roy to discuss some renovation details at our flat. Managed to save some costs cuz we felt that we dun need to do some stuff such as hacking. We still havent shop for our home needs. We just walk walk at Courts yest to just survey the market 1st. Later, when we need the products, we'll ask Roy for his lobang. Maybe can get cheaper price.

U doing an island in ur kitchen? We thought abt it and even considered a breakfast table but after viewing our flat again today, i think it will make the kitchen look smaller

I cant comment on worksmanship cuz i've got no experience. All i can say is that im fine with it. Regarding designing, he'll design it according to ur needs and then, he will pass these ideas to his designer so that the designer can come up with the 3D drawings. The time the 3D drawings will be ready varies from customer to customer. For me, as long as the drawing is done b4 my work is carried out, im fine with it.

Not sure. He havent tell me his schedule yet. Maybe next week, i'll discuss further with him. Hopefully, he can finish my home fast with good quality work

I think the budget is very very tight. But u can try sourcing ard to have a feel wat the std market rate offers

I just chose tiles yesterday. Cant wait for 20th to collect keys. Roy also say hacking will begin on 26th n they are already doing the 3D. I never push him for 3D n he start on it already. Not bad

Glossy homogeneous tiles dun really have a lot of colours n design. It's always beige, grey, white or black. If want colour n more design, must choose matt.

They so clumsy to give u their cost price Just say, if they quote $10K more, that means they will earn ard $5K in commission right. N u spread the work over 2 months, that means they'll earn ard $2.5K per month per house. I feel it's a reasonable pay for a job whereby u put in a lot of time into it n have to burn ur weekends

Thanks subayai, I cant say much abt quality of materials cuz i dun have ny experience in reno but the very least that i will take note will be the type of wood they are using for carpentry. Just make sure it's solid wood

Aiyah, my 3D wont come so soon. Havent choose tile, laminate. Havent even pay him also. Probably he just hack my house n do tiling 1st at the end of the month.

I think it's possible to get that quote but u must work hard to find that ID/contractor Remember not to compromise quality ya

Abt the hacking part, i think it depends on what ur needs are. U have to make it clear to him. His price was one of the top three in my list. If i had $3-5K more, i would have engage him. One thing i like abt him is that he will go thru the whole of ur house deco with you. From curtains, sofas, rugs n etc. Some IDs will just give his opinions on wat fridge, sofas to buy. N after that, u're on ur own. These are my opinions of him. Hope it helps I tried reading up on the bad reviews on him but i also cant find them. But based on what others have replied on SingaporeBrides after finding out why one of the forumers whack him, i've got a strong hunch it has nothing to do with his designing capabilities or attitude. I believe it is due some other personal reasons.
