Thanks for the input. will be checking with ID when meeting tomorrow. BTW, have you confirmed your ID yet?
-
Hi, I'm looking for ID to reno my house too. Can some one send me the contact of Max? Thanks.
-
Guess some ID just make more then others. Well, the 2nd ID quoted to overlay the tiles for both bathrooms. While this lower the quote a bit, I'm not sure the good and bad of overlay. Will it last? Is it a good idea?
-
Gotten another quotation last night with similar list of things to do. The new quotation is about 10K cheaper. Is it usual to have such a big different?
-
We'll be meeting another ID tomorrow. Hopefully it will turn out with a better quotation. I guess the number of things to do adds up the sum.

ranger79 replied to bubblepearl's topic in RENOVATION WORKS
Does anyone knows the contact of Bubblepearl ID as the quotation looks very attractive... thanks.. -
Now shopping for reno... Just got a quotation, estimated abt 45k I think the main reason was we want to change the theme to more contemparory... will discuss with the ID this coming sunday... Looking forward to...

The arched doorway + Jap sliding doors + platform inside = all have to go... cos they dun fit into our theme
-
Yah, this is a point block... we chosen this flat because really love the two windows kitchen thanks thanks, feel like money is well spent... hehe

Already PM you.

Thanks everyone for all your comments. The floor size is a good 134sqm. It's a 20 over year old flat. We also like the sliding door, but we feel it's more suitable for study. That's why thinking of converting the bedroom to a study room. There are a lot of windows so it's bright and breezy You are right, it seems to be a bit rojak. The kitchen is more like Country design Our preferred theme is modern contemporary. The vanity tops look like marble but we may hack them. hmm ... we were also thinking about it. But afraid that it may not fit the design concept that we want ... so still thinking

Hi, May I know where you bought your fans? How much did you pay for the installation? Thanks.

We have just exercised our option to buy the flat on 26 Apr 2008. The owner has already agreed to let us move in early to start our reno. Hopefully they will keep to their promise. It's a lovely 5A unit. Here is the floor plan. The original condition of the unit is live-able, except for the carpentries which definitely need to be changed. Here are some photos to share. Pardon my lousy photography skills Entrance: Hallway to living room (quite small - can't have a shoe rack here ): Living room (we don't like the platform, also for the safety of the kid): View from living room: Store room is behind the main door: Dining room: Dining room from balcony: Part of the balcony: View from balcony: Kitchen: Kitchen looking out to living room (it's open concept - we love it): Laundry system in kitchen: Master bedroom: MBR toilet: Bedroom 2 (Currently used as study room, but we don't like it): The wardrobe in bedroom 2: Bedroom 3 (We prefer this to be study): Common toilet: Common toilet (Ceiling is very very low to conceal the storage heater and piping):

Been eyeing the Betto full leather sofa from Mondi, a subsidiary of Star Furniture. Any comment on this sofa set in terms of quality and pricing? Also, read from another forum that it costs about $2300 in July 2007. Yesterday when we checked, it's $3880 before 10% discount, plus a $100 in-house voucher. In a space of about 10 months, the price rose by $1200 - a whooping 50% increase. So now a bit hesitate cos it's considered expensive to us. Hopefully can get a better deal in the coming GSS.
