But dunno when they going to paint the yellow box.. maybe we help them paint faster.haha Anyway i know someone posted this before. after showering at the destinated shower area the water somehow streams into the supposedly dry toilet area.. Is that a defect? If it is , did hdb contractor manage to resolve for u all? If hdb contractor tell u that is like that one, what did you all do to resolve this? -

Ventilation Exhaust Fan Installation For Toilet ?
rumi replied to tientien's topic in Plumbing & Electrical Works
Hi Mace, sorry to ask so many questions. Since I have a lourve type window and I do not wish to spend money to change the window to a top hung. Can i just remove part 1 section of the louve windows and then mount an acrylic board to replace the windows and then mount the fan on the board. Need to cut a centre hole in the acrylic board right? In this case need to submit to HDB reno permit? But i see the KDK website says in hdb is not allowed. Is it true? "Other methods would be removing the window pane and fixing up an acrylic board or wooden board to replace the existing window panel. However, if you are staying in HDB, you are not allowed to do this due to HDB regulations. " -
Ventilation Exhaust Fan Installation For Toilet ?

hi Mace, My toilet windows is louve kind. how to mount directly to windows? Do u mean remoeving each window glass pane, get someone to cut a hole on the glass window and mounting the fan up itself. Can this be done for louve windows? If it does, does it mean the louve windows have to be opened at all times? -

hmm then how does the air flows out if the window is closed? Can I keep the louve windows intact without removing. Then attached acrylic board on top of the louve windows then attach the fan on the acrylic baord? But how does the air get out during circulation? -

Oh great to have free parking on sunday. Felt uneasy that it wasn't! Because most visitors will miss the very obscure entrance to our estate right after turning from the slip road. -

Top hung meaning the windows flip outwards? Then must u open the the windows by flipping outwards during installation and also in use? If there is rain then what happens? -
Ventilation Exhaust Fan Installation For Toilet ?

hi folks, Which options is better? 1. Cut holes on glass windows 2. removing the window pane and fixing up an acrylic board >HDB not allowed? 3. Get a piece of acrylic that is cut out according to the window size, mount onto the wall, over the window and effectively covering the window. keeping existing louve windows. Which is better, which is cheaper? I am thinking of option 3, keeping existing louve windows in case next time don't want to use fan or future house buyer wants the original louve window. What does the Jasmine window contractor do? from kdk website == >>What are the methods of mounting the ventilation fan up? The most common and cheapest method of mounting up the ventilation fan would be cutting a hole on the glass window and mounting the fan up itself. However, for such ventilation fans, it has to be a window mount ventilation as there are many types of ventilation fans around. (see types of ventilation fans.) Other methods would be removing the window pane and fixing up an acrylic board or wooden board to replace the existing window panel. However, if you are staying in HDB, you are not allowed to do this due to HDB regulations. For condominiums owners, you would have to check with your management as in whether the 2 above named methods are allowed. Lastly, to bypass all the hassle, we will have the customized 15WHPA method whereby we will fix on the ventilation fan on a piece of acrylic that is cut out according to the window size. Thereafter, it will be mounted onto the wall, over the window and effectively covering the window. Air will be ventilated through the window, irregardless the window type. -
Hmm, from the drawings, it seems like u are covering up ur mbr windows & only revealing the air con ledge window? Or am I wrong?

if i am not wrong, all non slanted units were chosen by the end of the ballot from the first batch. So for those april 08 ballot, those non slanted units available must have been given up by the first batch of pple. i'm from first batch ballot.. we chose lower floor, normal shaped unit facing the open space than higher floor slanted units. Hence the low floor. Glad with the buy coz the view of the open space is green & nice. Not sure about the noise level yet. haha -

reply from hdb for the yellow box: We will explore its possibility with LTA. I f the scheme is agreeable to LTA, we will implement it when we overlay the new wearing course in the new contract just awarded. However, it will take about 3-5 mths as the new wearing course will only be laid when the roads is nearing the date of handing-over to LTA. If necessary, we implement using rubber paint as an interim measure. -

How do u then clean the base that is underneath the washer where it sits on? Push the washer down to the floor then clean and push up to the washer base again? Or no need to clean?
-
actually my kitchen is very small . with a base or not. the fridge width allocation is fixed. .as cabinets will be built beside the fridge...

U have to feedback to HDB. coz the road outside our estate belongs to HDB. -
at first we were looking at slim fridges.. but practicality wise. for future member expansion.. I think we need more storage space in the fridge as we intend to use it for the next 5 yrs or more... provided it's not spoilt. Morevoer I think folio only got 2 ticks. one more thing. even those made in japan ones have plastic shelves that cannot hold heavy stuff, especialy if u intend to put a pot of food inside. We prefer tempered shelves which can hold up to 100KG, don't want to risk breaking the plastic shelves and replacing them.
