Hey folks, Anyone got HDB contractor replaced the parquet flooring in one of the bedrooms while the other 2 rooms remain the original parquet flooring? Is the new parquet flooring very different? I was told that the replacement will be of a lighter colour. Not told it will be indo parquet flooring. Are they trying to scare me to prevent me to change?

I am interested in the biometric door lock, but it seems quite expensive and most probably involves installation by a lock smith and most prob drilling and chiselling to the door and door frame. So did anyone here bought & install your main door?

Anyone knows where to find the janitor type of trolleys with mop wringers for normal mops. I actually took note of the brand that janitor uses to wash our company toilets. The brand is Euromop. My question now is where to buy them? http://www.euromop.com/english/top_products.html under wep mop trolleys

I already sent a request to LTA in March 10; so far only got 1 reply from them on March 17. No news since then. CQ: Request to removal of kerb divider (ifms 601569) We refer to your email of 10/03/2008. Thank you for confirming the exact location of the proposed centre opening along Jurong West Street 64 near block 678D. We are pleased to inform you that we are currently working with the HDB to look into its feasibility of providing the centre opening. -

hmm, i think the entry into the first carpark is too far away, always seem to want to enter by the first "entry" we see. Seems more ergonomic to enter by the 1st entrance, but that's an exit! The arrow signs on the carpark ground is not very ergonomic. The signs seems to suggest that once we enter by the entrance which is quite far in, then we have to go up the 2nd deck, cannot go directly to level 1,as is against traffic arrow signs. Who can we report/complain to? -
Shu tiao, Unable to PM u. Understood ur windows got problem. Are ur window panels changed by hdb contractors? If not what did they do? They told me no more this colour aluminum frame so i cannot change it even though there are major scratches.

Hmm.. it's much better than walking so far down the road to the next bus stop to take a bus, no? Ugly also bo bian. Be thankful since LTA finally agree to set up the bus stop after some forumers requested ,got rejected and appealed persistenly! -
Splitter in electrical duct = inside the electrical riser? I thought this door is locked?

Hi folks, I just reported that some of the aluminum window frames have scratches and the HDB/Contractor told me that the windows were installed 8 yrs ago and they cannot change it for us now as the colour of the frame is no longer available. Is this true? Anyone else encountered the same reply?

Cisco SafeHome is $37.40/mth after gst for wireless motion sensor, wireles door magnet contact, 24 hr monitoring, 1 remote control. Safehome plus is all above + insurance coverage and wireless smoke detector + additional remote control (key fob to arm/disarm) is $53.45/mth after gst. ADT is $40.70/mth after gst for wireless motion sensor, wireless door magnet contact, wireless smoke detector, 24 hr monitoring, remote control + insurance coverage from NTUC that insure the house structure, renovation, personal liablity etc. The equipment belongs to you at the end of the 3-yr contract. U can choose not to subscribe to the 24 hr monitoring after the contract, but the siren will still sound if there is intrusion and detection of smoke, but no one will call u. U can pay your neighbour monthly to monitor for u. haha.. I think is not bad for emergency medical help, when held in duress and if u have a maid who doesn't know how to call police, scdf , or ambulance to explain where is the location of the house in case of emergencies, she can just press the panic button. Both companies offer free systems and installation for 3 yr sign up. ADT promotion is free 2 mths monitoring services for sign up by 31 march 2008, but a bit rush to make decision now, shall wait for next promotion. It's best to have it wired during ur renovation to minimise visible trunking if u have false ceiling at the living room. A land line phone has to be extended to near the door or if not, u can just wired the control panel near the current phone line, but control panel is best placed near the main door so was to easily arm/disarm before u leave the house in case u do not have additional key fob/remote control. If u place it in ur room or far away from the main door, I think by x mths u will stop using this alarm system. Going by cost efficiency I think ADT is better. Not sure about the services between ADT and Cisco though. -

Besides Correlle, is there any other cheaper brands that produced lightweight dinnerware that are microwavable? Could I get these kinds from the shops like Sia Huat?
