Dear All, Anyone checked on the shower head of the bathrooms? I just realised that the shower head located in the common toilet is not in order. When you turn on the water, the water will splash out from all direction. Got myself all wet when I tried to wash my feet over the weekend cos the floor is really dusty. Went to check my MBR's shower head, its ok leh. Have started my renovation. Dun know if they will change the shower head for me.

Its true, if you walk in with ID, its more expensive. The lighting shop uncle told me so. Once ID pass his name card to the shop, it means "you know what to do". The price tag is only for reference. Whether you go with ID or not, the price quoted will be lower than the price tag price. Its just how much lower.

I think I am more lucky. Today the electrician came to fix my lights. Luckily my hubby went early cos he came before 9.30am when his appt is in fact 10am. But he was very patient when fixing the lights. The lighting shops forgot to include this thing (dun know what's its called but supposed to control how many bulbs you want to switch on). My hubby told him abt it and he called the lighting shop to check. To our surprise, the lighting shop boss came down with the parts within an hour and the lights were fixed without further delay. Something unexpected but good to see the shop having good attitude.

Well, can understand since all parents want the best for the children. I would recommend Pei Chun Public School. The results should be good since everyone flocking to be parent volunteer there and for every Primary School enrolment, mediacorp would usually go to this school to look at how much over quota based on the number of enrolment received. Not that easy to get in as well.

Ya, thats y decide to let the guy do for me than thru ID cos the difference is way too much. I bargain very hard cos paid quite alot for my coffee table and TV console which I went shopping with ID. Dun know how much more he charged me. Since its a norm that they charge more thats y I source for quotes. Never did I expect the difference is so much either. Aircon man told me must never use Nyflex as insulation. For the rest, different contractor will have different preference.

Dear Neighbours, Anyone know where to get nice glass stickers for glass doors? Got to paste them on my kitchen door to ensure no one hits onto the glass door by accident especially kids who cant differentiate that this is a glass door and hit right into the glass door. Hi, From what I understand from my shopping of lights, the shop will charge you more if you are with your ID as they will have to pay your ID some "kopi money". ID usually wun say. Two signs to look out for if you go with your ID: (1) If he is very familiar with the shopowner and after you buy (maybe too late by then), he will make a photocopy of your purchase invoice. (2) ID hands this namecard to the shopowner the moment he steps into the shop. There is no need for him to identify himself as the ID. So by handing his namecard to the shopowner/ staff will mean they must know what to do after you make purchase. The above was some feedback I got from my shopping without my ID. Hi, The price will depend on the type of light you choose. For mine, the design I chose is less than $100 for the living room light. Whole stretch of shops in Balestier. Dun get it from the first shop you buy. You probably can get better price down the road. You can go to those bigger shops to look at the design you like then check the same or similar design at other shops for price. I bout my lights at this shop called "Lights Arcade". You can chk their price after u go to bigger shops. Personal experience shows difference of price by at least a $100. The ppl there are all quite friendly. I just bought Misubishi Invertor system 3 for my new hse. Nt sure abt the BTU but I think is more than 18k if I'm not wrong. Got it at less than $2.9k. Is there only one range of BTU for invertor range? I just got Mit Easy Clean Invertor System 3. Can get at less than 3k

Hi, I also agree that there is no so called good or bad school but really depend on the criteria you are looking at. For CHIJ, its considered a "branded" school, not sure about if their school is good but my impression not so good cos I often see their students not going home after school. For Pei Chun, its more of a chinese school and many ppl wants to get their kids there cos it teaches alot on values. So want to be parent volunteers also must queue up. I personally quite like this school cos of the good facilities and CCA programmes. Little kids also have strong command for chinese. For First Toa Payoh, saw alot of banners which states their achievements. But I noticed that this school is well mixed with different races. Kheng Cheng is near to Lorong 1. Not much comments on this school cos its not near to where I stay. Hope the above can be of some consideration for you

Hi Yeoman, Perhaps we can exchange hp number. Will msg u when I go down to my hse. Or u can check w me if you are around the area. I need to bring some stuff to my hse on Sun. Usually aircon, we will request for them to make 2 trips. One is to do the piping. One to do the installation. Once piping up, you can get your ID to arrange for the painting to be done. Dun worry abt dirtying your walls during installation as the first coat of paint may not be perfect. Must ensure you chk with PI's eye cos for mine, I saw some "tear like" coat on some part of the wall and told my ID to touchup. As for the aircon, I think the price difference can be few hundreds. My source also through natural cool. But my ID told me cos they dun get much inverter aircons from Natural Cool, their price may not be competitive. If your piping not done, you still have time to source around.

I started my renovation on 19/3. Aircon piping up already. Aircon man fixing my aircon next mon if ok. Din get the aircon thru ID cos I wanted inverter and after comparison of price, got it from o/s. I signed with them at Expo exhibition somewhere last quarter of 2007. If you want to view my house, maybe you can come on Sunday. If you are ok with Sunday, then I will check my hubby's timing.

I just need a storage heater for my bathroom. Went to a shop at Geylang yesterday and the sales person told me 15l is good enough. We end up buying an ariston 15l for $200. The 30l cost $220. But I find it abit bulky. Just want some views. Is 15l good enough for just bathrooms? How do we install the storage heater in the bathroom? Need any hacking? If placed in one bathroom should be able to use for another?

May I know where u get the storage heater from? Any brand to recommend? What's the price range for such storage heater? So each bathroom will get individual storage heater? How do we go about fixing the pipe for storage heater installation? Sorry for my long list of questions as I know buts about such stuff

How does he earn from City Gas? Isnt the price fixed? Did you use gas heater for your house as well? Actually I prefer electric heater but the hacking part is my concern.
