Definitely due to some piping problem and water seepage. Called up my ID, nv pick up call. Call the office, say my ID will follow up with me. Can have the face to tell me our usual procedure is our ID will call up within 3 working days. So I waited till 4th day, still no call. I called up the office again. Demand them to give me an ans by that 4th day else I go to CASE. Finally my ID call me and tell me his HP got pblm so cant receive cal..*bull*****. Then finally send plumber to my house. But the plumber just came in awhile and say its my washing machine leaking, tightened the hose and left. How can the water from the washing machine seep to the internal of my kitchen cabinet? I also not an expert in this area to be aware. My hubby called them up again. This time round, after a week, the carpenter came down. Say will help me do laminate on the "popped" areas FOC. Asked him, whats the problem. At least need to know the cause then can axed all future problems. He told me he is not a plumber, dun know. Hubby called them up again. ID took 2 days to reply (maybe to meet 3days procedure). Tell us will arrange for plumber. Asked them date and time. He said will check and let me know. 1 day has passed, no reply. Maybe another 2 days (to meet procedure of 3 working days) to reply again. Can anyone advise me what to do? Go strsight to CASE got case? They reply within 3 days but not doing anything. What "branded" ID firm, got ISO, got HDB vertified....all full load of rubbish.

So far for me, cos my fren bot a bodyshop aromatherapy thingy for me which i used it whenever I went over, the smell is not there anymore....u may want to give it a try

Meepok, What was the damage to your house after they did the foolish act? Frankly, I myself nv heard of this tradition. What purpose does it serve by going through this tradition? But it is indeed unfortunate that you started off with the wrong footing with your neighbours. Hope the damage is not substantial. Else you have every right to ask for compensation from them

Huh, now then I realised can be done in both ways depending on our preference. Mine os of opp direction. Sometimes dun even know if I switch on or off...so just test all switches Just handover the renovation last week. The paint in my room finally done up (at least not so obvious) after the 7the coat of paint. Sigh. The ID firm is supposed to send me a card confirming on the handover then issue warranty card. After waiting for a week, the said card finally came BUT the handover date was wrong. Indicated abt 2 weeks earlier than my handover date. Now I still got to call the ID to get them to amend and resend.... Reno is really about luck...

Went back to chk my house till plus pm now. Feeling so tired. The painting still very bad. I'm already prepared to close my eyes on the other rooms since it is of lighter shade. But the darker room's contrast is simply too obvious to be ignore. The ID will be asking the painter to come down later again. He told my hubby:" You and I will stay till the painting is done, then you can pay the last instalment and sign the handover agreement". We told him, the paint would need at least a day to completely dry up and see the shade. Never seen an ID so irritating and pushy. When we asked the ID why nv connect the wiring, he told my hubby that he is afraid that the worker may use my heater after installation. By the time they install the heater, it is only left with the painter who is doing the rectification job. My question is...if his workers has done the job well, by the time the heater is up, everything should be good enough to handover. Yeoman also went to the same ID firm but different ID. But the attitude of the ID is totally different. All in all, its this ID trying to give me his "pattern". At my end, I will also make sure his last payment will not be received easy. Cant believe he is waiting for the mere $700+ to pay his worker. The company should be the one to pay and not him. Trying to bullsh*t

My house? Sigh! They came to fix my storage heater which we checked and realised it was not working. When my hubby called my ID? He said maybe his worker did not connect the wiring thats y cant work. He even told my hubby off saying that we should tell him all defects at one go. He wants to have the last payment ASAP cos his worker is waiting for his pay. If he dare to say that to me, I would definitely tell him off. Who in good mind would fix the storage heater without connecting it? If we din check, how we know. He is making us so paranoid that we cant take things for granted and got to check through everything. I havent stayed in there yet and wouldnt have thought of checking the storage heater if not for reminder from my brother. He better dun push his luck too far...my boiler will burst anytime. Dun make me write an official complaint to his bosses. Afterall this is his ricebowl.

Sigh!, After the repainting that day, thank god we din pay him, the skirting area is of different shade compared to the wall and the door frames were painted with uneven lines. ID said its due to the wall structure, not his painter. My hubby was quite pissed that after so many repaint, things were not done well. He called the ID. ID arranged for painter to come and repaint again. My hubby requested for repainting of that room which he did today. ID asked for payment today again. We refused, told him we want to see how the repainted result looks like. Another thing we just realised. The storage heater which ID asked his guys to install doesnt seem to work. Got to check with him again. I also discovered the window handle of my living room window got a deep scratch. I am quite sure the scratch wasnt there before the renovation. But no proof how it got there. Checked with HDB, they are unable to replace as we have started renovation. We have also asked the building service centre to mend the gap in the kitchen and bathroom as we realised that the cement has came out. No extra charge. You guys may want to check your flooring again By the way, babymaro and I will be visiting Yeoman's house tentatively set at 3pm this Sat. Anyone interested to join? We can do a mini house hopping again

Just an update. My ID who told me to reach at 10am on wed turned up at 11.30am only. I thought I was smart, turned up at 10.30am since he is usually late for at least 15min. When I reached at 10.30am, he wasnt there. Called him, he say coming. by 11.10am, still dun see him, call him again, he say he's downstairs. Took By the time he came, its 11.30am. Dun know which "downstairs" he is referring to... When he finally came, nv even say sorry. Asked him why late also never call, he just kept quiet and start giving instruction to his workers. Told him painting work still not ok, how to handover. He said the painter will rectify. Thurs I went, still not done. I went off at 4plus in afternoon. He said painter will continue. By the time my hubby went over at around 5.10pm, the house has been locked up. Today, he asked me to bring my last payment. Said will handover. My hubby went up earlier. The painter most prob went for lunch. ID changed the number lock but din keep us informed. This is the 2nd time he changed and did not tell us. When I went up at 2plus (nt had lunch yet), he said the rectification work to the paint done. I went round to check, the paint work still have uneven shade of colour, the uneven portion of the wall surface was not scrap clean. I asked the ID, what are these. Then he started scrapping all the wall and ask the painter to do it again. By 3plus, told him that i need to go off, ID wants me to sign the handover agreement and pass him the last payment. I told him I dun have time to check and need to rush off for my appointment. He can comment...better to handover now, new flats prone to thieves. He is scared my things will go missing. I say you can use your number lock. One not enough, use 2. I can even add my own lock if he wants but I am not paying till I check. Can tell painter face very chao tak but I cant pay, else any rectification work I want, I guess even wait one day for him also wun appear.... Just pouring out my grievances for the past 3days....still the same thing, established ID firm may not be good cos it still depend on the ID you get.

yesterday just replaced the tile and today worker supposed to fill up all gaps of the flooring w white cement. Have not seen the actual thing. Now like my ID is boss. He just called me to ensure my presence at 10am tomorrow. Nv even ask if I'm available at the timing. haha. Hope the flooring is ok. Will keep you updated

Auntie toppie just came back from Toyogo. Bought 2 sprayers for contractor to install in each toilet. How does the rack looks like? I'm planning to buy some extra chairs and mahjong table from there.
