  1. Actually, the groom's shoes dun have to be the exact shade to match the suit. Black is still the best cos it will be more practical for long term use.
  2. Hi Meowie49, Thanks for dropping by last Friday. If not for you all, din even realise that a portion of my floor is uneven. When I call up my ID, he said, its inevitable for homogenous tiles to have some uneven portion. Is this true? Anyway, I'm getting him to come down with the balancing stuff.
  3. You all may wish to try the furniture shop opp our blk. Its at the corner. Looks messy but actually they have alot of variety for dining tables at affordable prices. I went to them 2 weeks ago and the Lao Ban Niang very patient with me and explain to me the pros and cons. Had wanted an extendable table for occassional use. She advised against it as it is a potential nest for ants Can understand that. My grills are up now. Not nice at all, make the whole house darker. Parents In law want it, dun want to make hubby's position difficult so bo bian got to do. Like a cage to me
  4. I also try to reason with my hubby like you. He will eventually agree but then he will say things like since you like it then do loh. But one thing he was right. I wanted to do feature wall but he dun want to pay thousands just to do feature wall so he say no. Eventually, we din do it. Now when I begin to pay my renovation cost in instalment, I'm glad I din do all these. Feeling more "space" in my pocket liao. For my flat, its 2 large
  5. I bought Crestar brand. Cant remember is 48' or 45'. No light but with remote control. Got it at my lighting shop. Got it for less than $300.
  6. Its nett. PM me if you want the aircon man contact as I seldom visit this part of forum. He's a sole proprietor. Dun really know much about BTU. But the aircon man told me in layman terms means how "powerful" the aircon is to cover whole room cool enough. For myself, I used Mit Easy Clean System 3 invertor. My 4rm flat uses 3X9000 BTU for 3 rooms. Havent start using it yet but all aircon men I approached told me its more than enough.

  8. Any idea if they charge transportation fee for coming down to replace the damaged parts? Btw, your house also use PD door? Any possibility of viewing the actual door? Hi RacKel, You did PD door for your house as well? Any forumers interested to do PD doors as well? Is the clock shopping date and time confirmed? If I'm free, I would love to join in.
  9. Hi meepok, how long have you installed this door? Any problem faced todate? I told my contractor to source for me but she advised against it say it spoils easily esp its roller part and replacement will be expensive. Did PD doors give any guarantee to the door? if yes, for how long?
  10. My ID told me if I want to use instant heater, I will have to drill the walls of my bathroom which will be very ugly so he advised against it. In the end, I bought a storage heater of 15L. The shop said 15L is more than enough for 2 ppl and usually ppl dun bath consecutively. For those with big families, I think the next bigger size I saw is 30L I did grills for all my windows. MIL said its safer if next time we have kids. Rather than make the whole place dirty next time, might as well do it at one go
  11. Its something similar to the designer clock from molecule. Design quite trendy. Price starting from 29+
  12. I asked them 2 weeks ago. They say website not ready yet. Thats y was wondering if can get them to come down if we have enough ppl interested.
  13. Hi tension_z, What is MO? Not sure if they still have the 10% off. I'm interested to buy.
  14. Noted. All my rooms are different colours. Also dun know orbiang or not. But I think if comfortable good enough. U have a PM
  15. oic, will be at my hse tmor even 6plus to wait for the contractor to fix bal of my lighting. If u want can give me a call to check if i'm around. Will PL u my contact. Let me hv yours also
  16. I stayed in TPY. Going to koon due to medication. Anything I can help?
  17. Sure, you got a PM. Hehe, on MC today so can reply u so soon !!
  18. I left the contact at home. Met this uncle in the lift of blk 79B. He is the boss of a factory in Ubi. The cloth design not so nice but I choose him cos not so exp. Got another contact where a middle age couple sew from home. I prefer their design but cos diff of price by $80 so I use the former. Which contact you want? You can get them to go to your house for measurement. No obligation. I told them I am getting more than a quote so they must give me good price else wun let them do. So they gave quite good price.
  19. I spent abt 1k on the curtains. Day and Night curtains for MBR and Living rm. The other small window to aircon ledge and 2 other bedrooms, I asked for roller blind.
  20. How does the door looks like? Any recommendation which contractor can fix it at reasonable price? Did your hse change to this door also? Any chance of taking photos of it? Hi Sushibabe, Do you mean those traditional hooks we drilled to our ceilings to place the poles indoor? My dad helped me to get it at a TPY shop. Can help you to find out the block no. if you are interested. As for the extendable poles, you can get it at "Ang Mo Supermart". Just behind our blk, along Singaporepools if you need a landmark to ask how to get there. But extendable one may not be strong enough. Use non extendable one will do. My mum's house uses it currently. Very good. You can get them at Toa Payoh Industrial Park, this shop called Toyogo. Its warehse like selling many stuff. Their products can be found in Carrefour also but much more expensive to get it there. Hi Zephy, Mine is also a #xx-17 unit. Done the aircon trucking as what the rest did also. You can take a look if you want. I'm usually there on Sun or my hubby will be there weekdays cos we are at the final stage of renovation
  21. I think if change, got to remove the whole frame. But I have done my flooring already so in order not to damage my flooring, got to live with it. Have just gotten the Building Service Centre ppl to look into my shower head. Seems that there is a piece of rubber stopper missing and hence causing the leaking. They have since rectified it. So forumers, please check your shower heads soon.
  22. If only HDB designer can think more carefully. If the door opening can be from left to right rather then from right to left for the MBR, I guess all pblm wld be solved. My hubby thinks its a waste to remove the door so we have to live with it till we decided that tolerance level has hit the max.
  23. I tried tightening it but still leak. Sigh! Also say the "screw liked" thing at the lower portion of the toilet bowl starting to rust. I havent even started using it. Only the workers were using it and they use the water to clean the cement. Its inevitable for water to get to the toilet bowl but the thing already started to rust. As for the door for my MBR toilet, the distance is just enough to open the door without hitting my toilet bowl. Wonder what kind of design did the HDB designer have to have such measurement. Once I fixed up my shower screen, I can even open the toilet door wide cos it will hit my shower screen and break it. In conclusion, a simple activity of visiting the toilet requires me to open the door to a slight angle, close the door then can bath. So marfan Hi Zephy, Liverpoolforlife's way of doing the aircon piping should work for you. Let us know if you want to take a look
  24. I din see any cloth material clock. Should be interesting. Ya, its a pull cart stall. They have not launched their website. So if want to collate orders, how to choose the design? Maybe I can ask them the next time I walk past if we have enough order. Check if they can come down to Blk 79 haha
  25. Recently I walked past one stall at Suntec. Its located diagonally outside "Nike Golf" shop selling very nice designer clocks. Price starts from $29+. A young couple is there selling. Very tempted to buy. Wonder if any forumer interested. Perhaps can collate the order and get a better price. There is another such similar shop at Novena Square (located beside some Korean tibits shop). The price is $50+ min but you all can use your photos as clock face. Dun know who is doing up their toilets leh. Anyone want to give me free showerhead? My floor only have 2 aunties who were affected by en-bloc and shifted in. My neighbour opp no news yet
