so dino, just think it this way, you are saving for the future, cause the price of aircon keeps going up. so in no time you will save back the 200 or 400 extra.

Paiseh Dino, what you mean by know it too late?? And also which company did you buy from and how much you pay for it? Well your config. is exectly the same as my. Well so far, think your upgrading to 1/2" is the cheapest i have came across so far. And by the way, forgot to mentioned that for Hong Tar, there is a fine clause stating that the max. length they will provide for the piping is capped at 15m. As vowsh have mentioned (at least for all protential Hong Tar customers), please bring along your floor plan so that the salesperson can advise on the length needed for the piping. Wish all the information provided is of much help to all. Cheers.

Hi Commando (Future Neighbour). Haha, just in case you are wondering, I am tinyeyes' husband. Just went down to buy my Fujitsu system 3 invertor, 12k x 1, 9k x 2 with them just now. Well as for the service voucher, they were mentioning that its only promotion then have, and only subjected to certain model. Well they only accept cash or cheque, so be prepared. In case you want to pay by credit card/nets, they will pass on the additional charges to you. Well have to make another trip down to their showroom to make the payment tomolo. So Commando, which model are you purchasing? Cheers...

Any comments on the this fridge from existing users? Cause i really need to book a fridge really soon as we need to start reno next week. So as for the length, anyone can advise on this? Cause i got a constraint of 70cm. Thanks a million. -
So Dino, care to tell which brand of aircon and price you got from Hong Tar? And also they also gave you 1/2" Thermaflex? Thanks
-
Actually I just called up GC to asked about the quotation for the same model (Fujitsu) and was quoted $2.9+ (around there) for their aircon. Was only given Armaflex 1/2". Actually someone in this forum mentioned before that Thermaflex is much more ex than Armaflex (Please someone correct me if I am wrong). I really need to know as the offer for Fujitsu only last till end of this month. Really appriciate someone can enlighten me on this issue as I think i will be ordering from Hong Tar really soon. Thanks a million.

Just came back from Hong Tar (Jurong West). Was Quoted (All are invertors BTW) : 1. For Mitshubishi (Jack Neo's), (BTU -> 12k, 9k, 9k), 1/2" ThermalFlex for $2.9k 2. For Mitshubishi Heavy Industries, (BTU -> 12k, 9k, 9k), 1/2" ThermalFlex for $2.68k 3. For Toshiba, (BTU -> 12k, 9k, 9k), 1/2" ThermalFlex for $2.9k 4. For Fujitsu (the latest with the CST), (BTU -> 12k, 9k, 9k), 1/2" ThermalFlex for $2.9k now on promo offer for $2.53 First of all, think this is the best price i gotten so far for this configuration. Wonder anyone can comment if this is a resonable price. And also need to confirm that Hong Tar's worksmanship is quite good as some forumers have mentioned before. Thanks a million.

Thanks, but as far i see from this forum, there is not much mentioning of Cool Serve, so thats why i asked this question. As for the 3 shops at IMM, there are mixed comments from all the forumers here, so having a very big headache over this issue. Actually initially i was also quite shocked to find out that Cool Serve's quotation is a almost $200 more than the average price for the 3 IMM shops, but as all mentioned, the more important aspect is the worksmanship and after sales. So can anyone please advise on Cool Serve? Thanks

Paiseh.. should rephase.. Actually what I wanted to ask in the first place was is close to $3k for Toshiba System 3 Invertor 1/2" Armaflex reasonably priced? Thanks..
-
So can anyone advise if the final price for 1/2" Armaflex from Cool Serve Toshiba System 3 Invertor resonable? Well think have to really place order really soon cause have to start reno by the start of next month. Thanks
-
The latest price i got from Cool Serve for the Toshiba air-con (sys invertor 3) with 3/8" Armaflex insulator is at $2718.80 (Add 80 per room for 1/2"). So anyone have installed theirs' with Cool Serve. Think this is the only one that gives Armaflex.
-
So in this case, does it make sense to go to All Best and ask for either Armaflex or thermaflex??

Need help on the following issues regarding the purchase of air-con for my new home. 1. Last weekend, my wife and I went to Best Tech at IMM and we asked about the pricing of for both Toshiba and MHI (System 3 Invertor). Both are $2568 and $2516 respectively. Its this price resonable? I would also like to hear feedback for both air-con users. 2. I would like to know if anyone have engage Best Tech to install their air-con? Cause I would like to know about their worksmanship. 3. The SuZhou lady of Best Tech(which I think some of you guys have bought the air-con from) claims that the insulator material which they used (K-Flex) is the best and most expensive of all the insulator available(well as usual she also claim its PSB certified, like any other companies' insulator). And due to this, she said we should not waste $$$ on upgrading to 1/2" and we shall stick to the given 3/8" insulator. May I know how true this is, cause i believe someone in this forum mentioned that the so call "reliable" insulator should be thermaflex and ArmaFlex (do pardon me for wrong spelling). Really appreiciate help from all on the above enquries.
