  1. Well at least your case is not as bad as my. I got my aircon from Hong Tar about 3 1/2 years ago. Then just exactly after the warranty expired, the thermostats (hope I got the spelling right) just gave way. Spend about 1k replacing them. Then recently, the aircon suddenly just becomes not cold. Then called them, they said that the gas just emptied. I heard from my friends its not really possible for aircon gas to finish so fast. So just decided to replace my aircon with another one. Well can considered just cut the losses. Anyway my aircon was Fujitsu. Think your case is similar to my. If the condenser is spoiled, think you can consider replacing your whole aircon.
  2. Hi, I was quoted $3688 for Toshiba Invertor sys 3 (12 + 9 + 9), upgraded to 12 inch, and the 5 years extended warranty. Well they throwing in $200 gain city voucher @ IMM Gain City. Well still sourcing for better offers. Best Regards
  3. Hi All, Am thinking of buying a fully meshed office chair, those sold at V.Hive. Was thinking if anyone have good lobang as to where to buy? TIA.
  4. Hi Adrian, Well if you want more information about the different type of washer information, you can refer to http://www.singaporebrides.com/forumboard/...html?1240224233. Well as for me, I currently own the 1090 model. Well so far the washing effect is very good.

  6. Hi SixYardBox, I remember the default insulation is already 1/2" thick, correct me if I am wrong. So by right no need to upgrade.
  7. Hi artois, Glad that you have also purchased the 1090. Well from what the manual mentioned, it did give a rough estimate for the weight of each type of cloth. Maybe you might want to refer to that. Cheers.
  8. Well actually when we look at the TC, for the egyptian cotton at least, my TC based on the european countries, its i believe 200+, but then convert to local, its 500+. You should use this to compare the TC when you do comparision between the different type of bedsheet. Cheers
  9. I believe my is the Egyptian Cotton Sateen, and well don;t feel stuffy sleeping on it.
  10. Hi, I have only used before the Egyptian Cotton, so can only comment on this only. The current Egyptian Cotton I am using is of 500+ thread count, and its very confortable. As for the other 2 aspects you are asking, don't quite really understand what you mean, but if I understand correctly currently i just do the normal washing in the washer and so far after using it for a few months, nothing happens to the bedsheet. Cheers
  11. Well extract from http://reviews.ebay.com/PU-LEATHER-COMPARE...000000008377991 Genuine Leather is very durable, will last a lifetime and cost far more than Synthetic Leather. Genuine Leather will have very expressed grooves kind of like your fingerprints, and will have a rich leathery scent even when dyed. Genuine leather isn't very pliable and can withstand constant torture and punishment. It'll hold up to yanking, stretching, bending, squashing etc. PU (Poly) Synthetic Leather is a man made material that will represent the look and feel of Genuine Leather but in fact is NOT. This PU material is far less durable, considerably cheaper in cost, and may not last long if used often. This material is extremely pliable and will stretch kind of like a spandex material. It has a more shiny appearance and generally is far less thick than real leather. Grooves similar to your fingerprints are mechanically pressed into the material to give it that REAL look. These grooves are far less defined and are hairlike impressions. This material for the most part is Waterproof and easily cleaned or maintained. For persons on a tight budget this material is the way to go. It's about half the cost of real leather products and will still look awesome in your collection. If your Strict on your Leather policy, this IS NOT the way to go. As for the cost of the headboard, depending on the size of the bed, the pattern of the headboard, and the brand which you purchase the bed, it can really differ alot, and its not surprise that your beadboard can cost up to $1000+. So don't worry so much and hope you enjoy your purchase. Cheers.
  12. Hi, Yup, the normal material used for headboards are the same as those used for the sits of the dinning table, its called PU or Bicast leather. It is a synthetic upholstery product consisting of a thick polyurethane layer applied to a leather or reconstituted leather substrate. It is commonly found in inexpensive furniture. Cheers.
  13. Well went to their showroom, must say their sofa is really confortable, and for their price, quite competitive with outside. Cheers.
  14. Well from the sound of the price, should be non-invertor, think the cheapest I have ever came across for the Toshiba invertor was at least 2.7k++, and thats with 3/8", and thats months ago. But anyway nice to hear that your enjoy your hoot. Cheers
  15. Hi Esther, Well not sure if what the contractor mentioned is true or not, but for my case, so far the tiles so far are all ok. As for the monitoring, all I did was to ensure that all the tiles are not hollow. As for the water piping, think was mentioned earlier in the forumer, we have to refer to the maps to see how the different pipes runs in the walls. As for whether to get vertical or horizontal storage heater, don;t really think that matters. Cheers.
  16. Hi Commando, Really long time no see you around here. Hope everythings fine for you. Well think will post some pics for other forumers here to just in case they don't understand what you mean. Well for me, the main problem is that my main door starts to crack again, but when we tried to go into the HDB website to try to resubmit the defects list again, think the link is taken off. So how do you resubmit the defect list? Cheers.
  17. Heard from the aircon guy that we should not off the main switch as this will spliot the the compressor.
  18. oh... understood. Like that think your new room is bigger then the living room.
  19. Well have been using this aircon for the past 5-6 months. So far so good. How much they qoute you?
  20. Hi ilmare612, Good choice of aircon, but very strange, how come no one made an enquiry into Toshiba? Well frankly if I have the budget, will surely "hoot" this one, cause its made in Japan. Cheers.
  21. Hi ylucy, Well I also got my air-con from them though. The lady at Hong Tar did commented about the price of Daiken. She did mentioned that its only Daiken that is selling their air-con at such a high price. Well I also noticed that the other brand that is selling above 3k is Sanyo, but that is beside the point. As you have noticed, Mitshubishi is also using R410 and still selling below 3k. I think for this instance, its more like the brand more than any thing else. As for whether to go for R410 or not, you can refer to http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qi...28124938AA73Efb for more details.
  22. Am using this model since May. So far so good. Did compare with Mit about the quietness, well seems like Fujitsu is more quiet. (or maybe my ears are playing tricks!!!). Anyway good buy, cheers...
  23. haha.. humourous indeed... haha.. but anyway.. think the forumers here are very fortunate to have someone like you to give some guidance to. Cheers....
