LOL, every month I'll walk to town council and demand for pay for washing that area This is called vanity lah with a price. They wash my block on every 26 of the month [there is a notice pasted on the notice board at void deck]. On every 25th, we will clear the stuffs and put them back 26 evening. Kinda troublesome but since the carpet was a gift from previous seller and we are grateful for that - and we felt it was nice to have it outside, we endure the routine. You finalised all your house concept and gotten all the stuffs? Saw yr blog - your house gonna be so spacious, so bright, so bling bling with gold and with such a lovely view!

Yay! and so the fun has started Such a spacious layout with so many walls hacked away. Do post lots of reno pics. Would be interesting to see the transformation, especially with all the unique tiles and mosaics.
-
Congrats, pbtgal. Indeed, it is a convenient move to TPY and having all the generation together. Plus, it is such a central area. Looking forward to see your renovation progress.

Hope everything will end well, F4.

This is an act of love. Glad Bella found love. She will grow to bond with you, pridilaw - all the unconditional love that she will shower and the gratitude [i believe dogs have super instincts] that will stay within her forever. And, not to mention, the lovely house that she will 'co-own' pretty soon! Looking at her pictures, err .. brings alot of memories of my beloved furbaby that has just passed on. Anyway, back to topic .. hope your renovation goes well.

Pictures of Bella bring a lot of joy. She is a happy furbaby! Can really see it in her eyes. Can't help to bring smile in my face as I browsed through her early years. This one shows how contented, and purely innocent, she is! [oops, sorry that I steal this pic from your site] She is so blessed, and so are you!

Fondue, hehe, hijack this thread hor 01. I was told that Rinnai has come out with newer inner-burner flame technology hob .. so it makes the model RB-2CG cheaper now [i guess]. Another good feature about this hob is the auto gas shut-off - say, if the knob is accidentally 'switched' on but no fire/cooking, a mechanism will shut the gas off. 02. The flame from this hob is supposed to be constant blue. When there is no colour consistency, adjustment can be made at the 'spark' area. We had Rinnai agent came to fix that problem when we first fixed it. 03. Rinnai claims that it is using Ceran Glass for this model. Ceran glass-ceramic panel is supposed to be impact resistant. Info on Ceran glass-ceramic panel 04. Inner burner cooks food faster.

Guess you are keeping the hob? I suggest you get it dismantled for now and keep it somewhere safe and clean. With all sorts of renovation works ongoing in the kitchen, some contractors may not take care/handle it well.

Hehe, if given a choice, I would hide the power points as such: This compartment is where I will hide away the hairdryers etc. Just to make sure that the compartment is wide enough [though, too wide can be an eyesore]. Also, need to work with the electrician. Can't have glass with this design. It will also make the pull-out drawer smaller. Perhaps, to do away with the dresser leg will make it less cluttered. But, you need to check whether the dresser [with all the weight] can be suspended 'legless'. Just my 2 cents.

Mine: Plinth height: 50mm Bottom Cabinet: 762mm Solid top: 38mm Space in between bottom and top: 530mm

I cant find the color code in the invoice from the electrician, though we were billed for the colour base. I knew my ID called Legrand for the colour code and instructed the electrician to act accordingly. On closer inspection of the base, the silver grey is not as shiny as the plate but it does look the same. You may want to call Legrand at 6416 1550 to enquire, Bon07. I am sure they can assist you.

Progress shaping out well. Lots of carpenty! nice choice of laminate. Glad the progress de-stress you, guy.

My empathy goes out to you, aubrey. We can never have peace of mind when works are not completed, and especially when there is no fixed deadline for full completion. Stay strong - hehe, though it is easier said than done.

Help! Seller Backing Out On Hand Over Date
Reiki replied to Jason Poh's topic in Housing Rules, Policies and Procedures
Congrats to the two of you, poh and hopeless. Am glad that the events turned out to be favourable. Look forward and Huat Ah! -
The shower head does look too high, for me. Hehe, try standing there and get a comfortable height before you get it changed. I like your idea having a long handle bar for the main door - it will look elegant!
-
I wont say difficult but it surely needs extra work. Dry up water marks are a sure thing if left unwiped on black flooring. When using black floor tiles on shower area, soapsuds can accumulate and, if not wash properly, will leave stains.

Which Property Will You Buy?
Reiki replied to Bachie's topic in Landed & Condo Private Properties Renovation Discussion
Can see your dilemma - you like big space yet it has be somewhere 'central'. I would opt for Bt Timah Townhouse. Used to stay somewhere 'central' for 20 years and everything [then] was convenient. Now living in the west and always feeling so lazy going town. My second choice is PP Townhouse. -
Good news that everything settled, familyof4 .. surely, the whole family enjoys the new house. Hehe, Huat ah! Thanks for sharing about the gas issue - indeed, it is shocking yet an informative piece of news to us. Nice place.

Older generation tends not to share our passion for a modern clean house. To them, perhaps as they are getting older, their needs are simple and having a house is already so much for them to be thankful. I can understand your frustration, skyblue - especially after forking out your hard earned income to realize a comfort home and then the theme/concept spoilt by [our] parents. I always believe that our parents can be re-educated. Share with her your vision of a beautiful home - the dos and donts. Share with her that you will provide the items she wants rather than she taking the initiative to get them. Please accept my apologies if I had gone overboard. Hopefully, things will work well - a win-win situation for you and your mum.
-
Congrats on the new house, KC. Interesting kitchen area - the balcony n utility. Hope the design will turn out to be your dream house.
-
Yup, and something that work too. Good to look at all angles, brainstorming to cover your needs, with end result that you will be happy with. Must post more pics!

The staircase with all the hidden lights there [before reno] is very interesting. The proposed living and balcony is cool! .. love the spacious feel. Congrats!
-
Congrats, skymars. Find it very interesting the way your ID is proposing the new layout MBR and Bedroom 2.

Congrats, xherion. I love space and your 133 sqm is an envy You have such a big balcony area. Looking forward to more pics.

It does not matter, aubrey. It is often said that beauty is from within. Your house is already beautiful cos you had taken care every details to make them work for you, and your mum - not because you need to extravagantly splash the exterior beauty but meticulously selected every items that bring souls to the house. Be proud and enjoy the fruits of love to what you have and done. With respect, of what you can afford. Beautifying a house is a journey. Adding just a small item, and it can be inexpensive, can change the aesthetic and energy of the house. BTW, sorry to hear about your late dad.
