wat i did: tell all the IDs that u r meeting ur requirements, from there a comparsion can be done. since same requirements, items done shd be abt the same, then compare the overall quote instead. i believe it is super time consuming to compare item by item (but do make sure items r itemised, hence u knw the cost of each if u want to take them out later). some ids charge more for carpentry, some charge more for glass, some dun charge for bathroom accessories etc.... but at the end they may cost more or less the same. then see who u can click with, finally check out the workmanship - this is the tricky part! good luck!

checking with u guys using ideal house, esp the popular IDs there. how often do the IDs visit/check the reno works? is it after every major item done eg carpetry, painting, floor tiles? cos if they have many projects (eg Mr K - read somewhere in this forum that he has 20+ (?) projects at one time, correct me if I am wrong), will the IDs have time to come to your place to check the works, plus meet potential clients at the same time?

oops! hobbles187, me meant no harm, sorry if i offend you. just basing my opinion on the feedback given by forummers using ideal house. anyway, i did say must see quote mah, never say expensive = better. plus i alrady made appt with them le. see how after i got the quote... anyway have a good reno experience with ideal!

hmm didnt read the comments on zann. cos i wont be engaging EI. my budget is only 15K, minimal reno but too low for benedict cos he is seriously busy with lots of projects. i m just thinking whether zann takes on projects that are not so big scale. but i met up with benedict already so not so nice to look for another ID within the company. mine also premium flat (atrina, next to you), i hope my flat can look as nice as yours! enjoy ur flat!

hi eRiam, if i were u, i would go for the other ID instead of ideal house. i rather pay more to have a house in good and usable condition after reno. in stead of worrying which item may start having problem after a couple of months. anyway, its your choice! incidentally, i have already made an appt with one of their ID (not Mr K) for a quote. So i will just use the quote for a reference unless their quote is like alot less than other IDs. hmm.. which makes me wonder? cheaper quote maybe cheaper material?? but got to see their quote lah!
