  1. Hi rachel79, were discussing tat with hubby, but concluded tat the ikea one might not be able to take the weight. so decided to pay a little more for the alumix one. afterall, new house, dun want the risks of things falling apart. of cos, the hassle of having to DIY. Dont think got time admist the furnishing / electronics hunting... too many precious weekends spent on walking... kekeke... hmmm... worrying... im at XX-39 too intention is to hack the exact same wall... all the way to the edge og the BR2 door. will do a f/u with my id in a week's time...
  2. Hi gadgetman, My ID is working on it today, and havent hear anything negative from her at the moment. Seems to be ok from her prior experience. I will be hacking away most of the walkway in the MBR tat connects to the BR2. Hopefully it gets thru, cos the L-shape wardrobe didnt look too appealing when the drawing came out. Quite a waste of space too, to a certain extent. Using the alumix (sounds something like tat) pole system type. My id advised we take tat instead of the wardrobe kind as it will free up more storage space. Think that shld be good enuff la. there is a more expensive brand in the market, illumix or something, but it is more more expensive. This illumix is on display at a shop beside the hk cafe on level 3, and a nice set cost more than $3k! !! Now only crossing fingers tat it gets approved from hdb side...
  3. I'm putting in my submission on monday, hopefully it will take as fast. Going to hack away a small wall in BR2 to do a walk in wardrobe. The MBR is too ridiculously small to have any decent walking space after putting in a wardrobe.
  4. 5 or 6 ft seems a little small for a good game.. keke... but it will fit into out tiny flats nicely. The non-branded 9 ft table cost abt 3k minimum, not including the table top which has to be customised, so still seriously thinking abt it.. furthermore such a huge item will make our living / dining area seems smaller too. Are you getting one?
  5. No problem with that How about opening up your in-house gym for the rest of us who are lazy to go out? keke..
  6. Me and hubby were looking at putting a pool table in the house so came across this guy who does wholesale for pool table (limited choice) but quite a good range of gym equipment. Went to the showroom and took a quite glance 2 days back and the price seems quite reasonable Here's the contact: Poolworld Entertainment http://www.poolworld.org/ We spoke to Ron, he seems quite an ok guy, and patient to walk us through the limitation of having a 9 ft table in the dining room, and the cost of adding a convertable table top. Still thinking about it though... but hubby is a pool fanatic... keke
  7. Quite depressing to be waiting to move into a new house with a big cross on the door. Like some x-ed out family like tat. Think we might take the same lift too if u r on the high floor! My MBR wardrobe is in Bedroom 2 too, cos the MBR is simply too tiny...
  8. Hi Blk 79 neighbours. didnt realise that the kampong spirit is so strong here! I went to check on my flat yesterday and realise that my door is plastered with those moving and renovation stickers, and one of the vandalisers actually scratched such a big and deep cross my door that it leaves a permanent mark! Anyone had the same problem? Esp those who are juz starting the renovation works like us? Will HDB do a replacement? clouded me and hubby's otherwise excitement for the new place... *Was trying to upload the pix but the url dont seem to work...
  9. Me too.. At 79C... Just engaged an ID to do the works... Hope to learn more...
