  1. Enlarge for you notice the toilet doors is sort of facing the rooms but the kitchen layout is superb. Great to put the fridge nearest to kitchen entrance for quick access to those munchies!
  2. From the description, the "ROUND" HDB Block should be Block 34 Whampoa West.
  3. Coconut is Round leh.. haha just kidding
  4. Hi Jack. The video is a feature from Google Sketchup. The balcony is just a wacky idea but has yet to be implemented here. Layout is the same but that flat belong to my parents and the reno was done a long time back. There's no comparison given today's value of the SG Dollar and the price movement of materials.
  5. Unfortunate to be seated close to an inconsiderate person. We could let him/her know what we think of his mannerisms and leave it as that, cause it ain't our duty to further his/her education. That being said, if you are not enjoying the movie one bit, could have gone to the cinema operators to highlight the matter for their follow-up? well it's over and just stay lucky not to encounter another "loud-mouth" for your next movie.
  6. Hi Jack. As requested, this is the layout of my current house for your reference. Alot depends on your lifestyle, no. of family members and preferences. I would be interested to see how your reno turn out, show some pictures pls! Enjoy~~ Brown: Wardrobe Purple: Tall Open Shelf Red: Beds Green: Washing Machine Placement Blue: Sofa (2-Piece) Orange: Side Table for Telephone Yellow: Study Desks Grey: Dining Table Uncoloured: TV Console Store Room: Hacked away and became part of Living Room.
  7. I think the cost of materials have indeed gone up but maybe not as exaggerated as the inflated quotes might tell you. However, workmanship & quality of material used should be more important factors to consider. Sometimes we might just pick an ID/Contractor because we can get along well.
  8. Know your budget well and set it together with your spouse. Always try to keep the spending to a few thousands lesser than your budget limit, cause we have a tendency to overrun it and you might want to keep it for some additional works later on
  9. Where is your main door? I think either you change your tile choice (since you find yourself unable to make a straight decision) or go with the flow from the main doors. That's just my thoughts
  10. There is a Choo Chiang @ Bendemeer Road too right? Any difference to get from there?
  11. Is your flat done up? If not can consider re-locating your MBR door in tandem with the air flow for your house windows and other rooms.
  12. Virgo: Tried to PM you but your mailbox is full tks.
  13. Congrats on your new home
  14. Try on a small part and insignificant area to see, and need to make sure the paint is highly reflective. ICI Light & Space claims to reflect 2 x the light (stated on their webbie)
  15. I have seen some wireless speaker sets from LG, guess electrical point must still run but the no. of wires gets reduced right?
  16. Think there is a similar thread here. Maybe can merge them? http://www.renotalk.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=4480
  17. Ene: Cool, very nice !
  18. I've cut and paste the past transacted price in the area for your reference. The financial decision is yours ultimately
  19. My understanding is so long the carcass (ie skeletal frame) of the Kitchen Cabinets is in good condition. You can choose to re-laminate the colour and change the doors at approximately 40% cost of a new one plus minus. Because the measurement must be precise due to the existing structure, a top notch carpenter is very important.
