I also saw the exhibition from Faith Coat at EXPO a few weeks back. Interesting stuff, but the texture/colour variety seems lacking. Anyway, I was reading a small ad in today's ST newspapers. "Re-colour Old Tiles and 3 years warranty - 6481-4363" http://www.designerflake.com/ Could be a local company getting their stuff from Australia (see URL). There is no SG number listed on the website so I have to state it here in case you are interested.

Commission Fraud: 7%gst & 10%cut By Agency
Starscream replied to hiccups's topic in Rent/Sell Properties
I assume the purpose of the thread is for sharing of experience but looks like you have done a lengthy homework and I hope everything will be resolved most amicably in your favour what kind of agents are out there today! Reading the post brings to mind two things: i) how one defines "disturbing text" and ii) is this agent in question properly trained and schooled? -
How bad is this dust problem associated with Pole System (with Sliding Doors)? Thinking of doing a mega wardrobe and if the dust issue is bad, it also translates to a mega problem for me!

Property Market Boom Bubble?
Starscream replied to icer's topic in Landed & Condo Private Properties Renovation Discussion
Buying to a home to stay is ok as long we buy within our reach & means. Buying with a view to appreciation in value and profit in the long run is quite another thing to consider when entering the market -

As usual, I am not given a copy for retention and there must be like 100 fine lines which is impossible to go through in detail on the spot. -
Payment Of Agent Fee
Starscream replied to Starscream's topic in HDB New/Resale Flats, Executive Condominiums
Tks Zirhk. The company concerned is ERA. They have already sent their invoice before 1st Appointment Date and has written on it that ERA reserves the right to charge interest at 2% per month on overdue accounts. Is this legally binding? -
Hi All. Is it a must that the payment to the Agent must be timed with the 1st Appointment? We are concerned that service drops to zero the moment the fees are paid and that the 2nd Appointment is yet to be completed. Any advise, tks.

Hi. After OTP exercised. Is it still possible to do a second valuation report on the house so that the value can be higher, which means the cash over value component can be reduced (retaining the original agreed sales price) ? If the second valuation is lower, we can use back the first valuation report?

I'm sure you can find another ideal unit. Surely? Just need to ride out the urge to commit and you'll do fine !!

Marble Floors / Skirtings
Starscream replied to Starscream's topic in Ceiling, Walls and Flooring Works
Thanks for your advise. I think no checker / pattern board mixed into the floor will be suitable or look nice. What about yellow / brown stains, can they be removed? I understand Marble is porous and thus stains easily and for the same reason stains can be removed too using a poultice of sorts. -
Hello. The flat we bought has broken marble (white/grey) throughout living/dining and the bedrooms. A real pity to hack and redo the tiles. We hope to do a polish n shine. The marble looks like this:- My question is that some are stained yellow/brown.. can they be restored? Also is it possible to replace a single or a row of tiles separately? Any info is appreciated, thanks!

Very good info tks! Wonder what kind of qualifying criteria for the two new schemes HIP and NRP. Does it mean those precincts that underwent IUP will never get them anymore?

Is there a way to find out what programme (IUP/IUP Plus/MUP/LUP/The new schemes of NRP/HRP etc) has already been done/or announced for a particular block of flats? Tks
