  1. Just my humble suggestion, cause there are 3 sets of windows (very windy huh!). Purple: Bed Green: Study Desk Brown: Wardrobe Blue: TV (no console wall mounted) Make sure you get good walking space, ventilation and the sacrifice is that the study desk and bed should be in reversed positions but nobody is going to sleep next to the double set of windows right?

    Diy Wall Decals

Came across this site that sells borders and sticker for the wall. Seems quite cute http://www.winkplay.com/
  3. For Easy Reference. Personally I feel there is hardly any "market price subsidy" at all from HDB..
  4. I'll start by posting that GSS starts today!! Do try to keep to Home Reno related stuff which is just about everything BHG Bugis Junction
  5. Isn't that both good and bad. I don't think these pleases all parties.. the only beneficiary is.. HDB??
  6. Where can we buy these BLUM mechanism on our own?
  7. If he can get away with a 25% loss on OTP let it be a cheap lesson learn. With regards to HDB living, there are still many more pitiful cases out there than theirs to begin with.
  8. You are the best person to decide. There should be more impt things than colours to worry about. How about Gold / White / Green theme? Looks fine to me
  9. Maybe consider based on the gowns and suits used by the couple that evening, also look at the ballroom colour and seat colours to decide. No need to have multiple colours. Pretend you are watching the TV, would you like to be distracted with neon lights near your TV console? Keeping the colours nice but slightly mute so that everyone can concentrate on the wedding pair. Just my suggestion.
  10. There is another ID firm called Advantage Design or something just across from Impress21 (the other row of shops). Why not visit both while you are in the vicinity anyway.
  11. Nice light saber. I have the red Darth Vaders'
  12. For the benefit of all readers, just a gauge on how much you have spend on your renovation works alone excluding fittings, fixtures, furniture and appliances
  13. Jack: This plan is exactly the same one for my current house we hacked away the store to make the living room bigger. The layout is good.. enjoy your renovation. Show us pictures too.
  14. If only HDB will reveal their formula for determining the valuation of a HDB flat.. wonder what's so secret about it? We are only told it depends on market forces and the factors of location, amenities, age of flat, size area, level of house etc. Nothing concrete as in mathematics or science!
  15. My advise is don't be in a hurry to sign unless you are in a rush to move-in. Scout around, discuss more and read up more, the process is tedious but you will learn more & more about what is a reasonable quote, what are the strategies employed by renovators and where you could pitch in and save some money etc.
  16. Yes it is best to settle amicably among all parties but civil case also case.. that was my only point.
  17. Me 2cts: My thinking is if you want to hide and conceal the trunking, better to do together with the renovation works. If they be installed after, the trunking will not be coordinated and might run all over the place. I notice a plastic cover is used to cover up the air-conditioners during renovation works (which means that they are installed "before" and not "after"). Someone mentioned in this forum to come after painting of house.
  18. Reallove: That's cool. Just 8K COV but I would not be able to afford a 650K House enjoy da view~~
  19. Got it but sub-con or main-con or whatever con makes no difference. My point is the legal owner of the property must have access to his own dwelling no?
  20. Loli. Aiya.. was looking at their flat switches too.. what a waste if not approved.
  21. Granite & Marble are supposedly porous (ie. absorbs spilled liquid and stuff) so you will have to pay extra care in wiping spills quickly and maintaining it too.
  22. My own estimate is that it would take about 4 months from OTP signed to collected of keys. After your signature(s) at the 1st Appointment @ HDB which handles most of the financial transactions & verification procedures etc. Sellers have to move within six weeks (so I understand) from the date of 1st Appointment. That means the house should be vacant and ready for hand-over at the date of 2nd Appointment.
  23. A quick search will have some info. Own experience is that we went down personally to talk to them with floor plan for 30 minutes or so. The quotation simply never came back.
