  1. Day 12 (Part 1) After a few days of inactivity, the important day finally arrived. Our feature wall and shoe cabinet is about to be installed, tatatatatata.
  2. 3D for feature wall & shoe cabinet So after we finalized the laminates and layout of the cabinets, the 3D render & autocad drawing is out the next day.
  3. Day 7 Met ID at lamitak studio at Lavender area. The book and the real thing is really different, I actually choose the matt finish laminate for carpentry. But after seeing the big piece, I decided to follow my ID suggestion to use the gloss finishing laminate. We made some changes to the cabinets due to feng shui constraint, but thankfully my ID was able to accommodate as well.
  4. Day 6 (Part 2) We went to none other than Tampoi, but we needed our ID's help because we don't know the way. But first, look where our ID brought us. Afterwards, we were at Tampoi and we literally bought the most value for money fan & lights. So we decided on 2x Fanco + 30x Philip downlights
  5. Day 6 (Part 1) We met our ID at the unit to go Malaysia early in the morning because we told him we really wanted to save $$$. When we reach the unit, the uncles were already taping the corners and skirting for the whole house. Shortly after we left for Malaysia . . . . . .
  6. Day 5 False ceiling works next along with the curtain pelmet. ID proposed the pelmet to conceal the curtain track, because we didn't know such things exist. Our ID also did some drawings on the wall too, I think it's for the contractor because my fiance and me don't understand anything thou. Lol
  7. Day 3 Lighting plans was proposed & agreed. (Couldn't find the photo) At the same time, protection cardboard was laid and everything was ready to go Day 4 Electrical work was completed within a day. Haha I didn't know electrical wires looked like this above false ceiling. Living + 2 bedrooms
  8. Mirror works So the guys removed the original ugly mirrors and then had to find a way to slot in conceal wires for the new mirrors. So total of 3 mirrors for 2 bathrooms
  9. Hi all readers, My fiance & I collected keys to our 2 bedder somewhere in July just weeks before 7th month. We are a bit superstitions so we will start work before 7th month, get it done and then move in after 7th month as we need to wait for our taobao shipment. We will not be staying here for a long time, therefore we decided to keep the costing and work done to the minimum. Attached is the floor plan to our 74 sqm condo, it doesn't have much space therefore space management is top priority here. I have a lot of shoes thus I need a shoe cabinet & my fiance also hope to have a cabinet that we can put our keys and some photos. Our ID suggested we cover the DB box area at the entrance with a shoe cabinets with display & storage at the entrance to save space and also maximize the width of the corridor. We are not so keen on feature wall as we would like to buy off the shelf TV console but we really needed some storage space so we went ahead with the feature wall as well.
