  1. 6 June is tmr... isn't that a little last minute?
  2. a good place to look for cheap electronics will be Hong Liang, near IKEA / ABC market they will show you comparisons between a few TVs and I can tell u, they're "more honest" than the BIG retailers
  3. Panasonic is very good... I agree that Plasma shows a sharper image, but if u watch HD5 on a Full HD LCD... it is also very sharp
  4. I think it's an upscaling box or HD Tuner Frankly... Full HD or not... what matters is the tuner. We need to have a HD tuner to be able to watch programs in Full HD resolution. The only Full HD free-to-air channel is HD5, all other channels are in Standard Defination (SD) even with the HD Tuner. If you wanna watch cable TV on full HD, be prepared to pay over $100/mth Challenger sells lousy models, I am a Challenger member if U need me to help u buy things at a discount
  5. "HD Ready" - Need to buy box? What box? Don't get cheated ok? LCD or Plasma - A lot of debate... Just buy what's comfortable to your eyes, that's the most impt I bought from HN, I bargained and they gave me prices similar to neighbourhood stores. PC Show in June - All of them are retailers like HN, Audio House, Best Denki.... not much difference. Free gifts are determined by the brand, not the retailer. Whatever price they give u @ the show, u can go to their retail shop and get the same thing I'm using a 40" Full HD in my living room, 32" HD Ready in MBR... somehow, the 32" looks sharper although both are the same brand and settings... maybe 40" is too wide for free-to-air channels. Will be setting up my digital tv box later today, hope the quality improves
  6. Starhub called me a few months ago to give me a good offer and I took it up immediately
