ok, after having my cellini spinal supreme (latex + pocketed spring) mattress, i can confirm that the quality is very good for its price. however, i do feel that it is a bit too soft/plush for me as i am heavy (80+kg), on the other hand my wife who is 50kg said it is perfect for her. will use it for few more years then upgrade. but honestly, for the price that i paid, no complaint at the quality other than it is a bit too soft for my back...

Memory Foam is better? Not according to this website: Perfection Mattress http://www.perfectionmattress.com/AA_Marketing_Gimmicks.html

There are two models: 1) Spinal Supreme 2) Spinal Royal One of them is the latex model but I forgot which one is which. I chose the latex model coz I feel that it is more comfortable and softer than the memory foam version but it cost a bit more though. If budget allows, try the Grand Monarch (memory foam) and Grand Castle (latex) models. I like the Grand Castle model but it is out of my budget On visco elastic memory foam vs. latex, I tried both and I like latex better, memory foam sinking in feeling is hard to get use to... Plus I feel that it is a bit difficult to turn once you have sank into the memory foam. Of course, everyone's experience is different.... the SA said the latex is from belgium, when I heard it I also blur blur. Anyway, I bought it coz it is within my budget plus very comfy!

it says 100% sanitized silk on the packing... very light and smooth, try it. if u buy silk quilt from robinson or taka, be prepare to pay...

wow! finally! congrates!

I bought my silk quilt from Aussino during last year F1 period, king size after discount was about $120-130, I don't really remember.

I went for cellini spinal supreme latex model... Cheap cheap nia... Give it a try loh, if it doesn't feel right down the road then will have to buy another one but so far so good... If it can last 5-8 years, I will be very happy with it. I will change it even if its condition is still ok because by then my back has aged and will need a different mattress. How's your grand castle? I tried it, **** comfy!

Are you looking for a quilt or quilt cover? If you are looking for budget quilt and cover try Carrefour (Saw KingKoil there) or maybe even Tesco. If you are looking for better quality (pricier), then try Aussino, Taka, Isetan, Tangs, Robinsons... You know, the usual suspects...

B2B, Marketing is king these days! The general public tends to "recognize" brands rather than trying out what suits thyself... Sad but true... As for mattress, the majority of it is free air! Material and production costs took up part of the selling price, the rest are profits and marketing cost!

I agree with you that we all need a good mattress to sleep on and that's why I spend lots of time to try sleeping on mattresses. The 3S you mentioned should be Sealy, Simmons and Serta, not Slumberland. As far as I know, all 3S do manufacture their products here in Asia (even South East Asia) through OEM to cut down on logistic costs. As with any OEM, they have very strict quality control, so in theory Asia Simmons and US Simmons should be same in terms of quality and performance. If you have done enough research, you should also notice that even the 3S get complaints. Buying the perfect mattress for yourself is very personal, what I like might not suits you at all! My advice is to buy what you feel the most comfortable, it does not have to be branded or expensive just buy which ever mattress that you felt the best with. I tried the 3S as well but I felt that I can get the same comfort that I wanted for way less money by buying other less known brand. After all, we all buy mattress to sleep on rather than admire the brand name stitched onto the mattress right? If any XYZ brand mattress is as comfortable, good quality and cheaper than the 3S, why not? On ONLY the angmoh will spend money to do R&D, I think you gave them way too many credits! They are the same angmoh that gave us Lehman Brothers, Enron, Worldcom, Arthur Andersen, AIG, Barings Bank, Bear Stearns, etc. All their marketing crap talk are just rubbish, I will only trust my own back when buying my mattress.

Dorma is famous for its bed linen and sheets from England. They might have franchised their brand and their products are manufactured all over the world. I asked a sales where they made their mattress, he mentioned that it is made by contract in Malaysia. I tried their mattress, very comfy but pricy as well.

i came across satisfied 5k mattress users as well as satisfied 500 bucks mattress users... mattress shopping is like an art, one man's soft might be another man's firm...
-
not too sure about that partucular model but silentnight is a reputable brand, if the mattress feels alright to you then u are all set!

thanks for the reply! i tried all the 3S and comfort wise, i thing i like Serta the most, very plush and their full latex model is simply heaven! but as with all the 3S, those models that i like are way over 3k! of course i tried the cellini mattress and i agree with you that it is good value for money just that because it is new so not much user feedback... hopefully current users can chip in thier bits here
