I got actual quotations as well as verbal ones from neighbours. Actual quotations only include the building and construction of extra floor; i wanted to extend out the frontage slightly to have balconies on level 2 and 3, so the quotation included that. I asked for the flooring, toilets, electrical works and carpentry items to be excluded as I have my own Interior Designer who can do those for me.

Hi, I am in the midst of getting quotes for doing the same thing as what you planned. Below 200k is impossible based on all the builders I spoke to. I walked around my estate and asked for quotations and they ranged from 270k, 290k, 350k and 700k. It's really very hard to determine which builder to choose from because there are so many of them in the market and a lot of them dont even have any reviews on how bad/good they are. Anyone has any recommendations of good builders?
