Kids nowadays are unstoppable, they just do what they like and get off with it easily. Call 999 also useless lah, at the most the Blues Brothers will still give them a warning. Bringing them back to the station would require them to write report and all the troublesome paperworks loh. Write to MP (take weeks to months to reply), call police (no use), write to TC (no reply), write to HDB (not their problem), complain in forum (also no use), write to press (ppl will start criticizing on the topic). Hmm... let me see wat else can be done..... nothing??? Wait.... i think i know wat can be done...... we just........

In my opinion only, those whom installs security systems in residential areas either have gold bars at home or old folks for security reasons. Thats what the magnet is for, it is to tell the so called burglars that those are what I have at home, come and try. Anyway there is a very easy way to bypass these systems and it is very easy especially for our estate. Hint: I will not say, lata ppl tot i burglar ah. (Go and see the system being installed for yourself and you may know what i am talking about) Hehe.... Anyway it is still up to individual on their needs and reasons for the systems. Good Luck! Is it you secretly go paint it at night? Hehe.... Anyway to paint over these beautifully decorated artwork, alot of coats are required. So i guess we got to give them the benefit of doubt and give them some time to paint finish. At least something is being done rather then nothing.

Haha... oops TQ TQ

Hey neighbours, For a lighter note, enjoy this youtube clip. Very funny.

Meepok.... very heavy gun powder man! Its getting tired just by knowing and best of all nothing can be done to prevent it. We will indeed need a solid essay for our dear Mr MP and associates, maybe can look for those have degree and good in complaint letter one to write for us ah. hehe.... Ever since the great magician escape from "Zoological Gardens", even better then David Blaine or David Copperfield. Totally vanish into thin air, hoping it will slowly be forgotten into another realm and carry on with our little pathetic live. Now the system is screwed, arrows flying, ppl going to jail, ppl escaping certain death, more ppl toking kok and others just keeping themselves busy with "I dun know wat". We really need to act on our own in order to have a better and peaceful estate to come. No point seeking help from those "useless" bums who sit on their hairy butts day in and day out writing letters and toking kok. Siao! Siao! Siao! Got free things ah, abalone porridge every few years if applicable Anyway correct, the system is free but monthly service fee of $26-$36 is payable for 36 months if i am not wrong. They are either sales ppl from ADT (Tyco) or Certis Cisco, they will target estates which recently have crimes published in the papers. Go for it if you have limitless budget, but take note that these systems are also an eyesore or magnet to these crimes too. I rather unscrew the door and sell the wood for more $$$ man

Dear Mr Meepok, We are indeed gratefool for your service rendered to us in these times of financial needs. In regards to the additional artworks rendered by our very own well known artists only shows that we being a First World Country have the necessary talents and skills required to excel into the next millenium. An Arts & Design hub is looking very promising with the talents seen in your previous posts. I am deeply sorry that as the S&C charges still applies regardless if anything is done or was done. TC's action have always been undoubtfool and i salute to them being one whom can see far and wide in times of needs and challenges. New walkways which does not serve a purpose or white elephants walking around are investments that requires knowledge and manpower to inject into. I know peanuts about investments, stocks or bonds or even if mee siam has hum. But anyway I am only required to answer queries in regards to our beautifully maintained Clean, Green and Hellthy environment which and when my fellow residents require. Thank you The One & Only
-
Dear Mr. Meepok, Actually its because the paint mixer from China is presently in Beijing Olympics and no work can be done for the next 1-2 months and presently our professional painters cannot be found in India and last of all our hand-crafted camel hair is out of stock due to hair loss of our camels. Hopefully you can be understanding and mix the paints, paint for us and buy your own brush. Your services will be greatly appreciated from the bottom of by big fat wallet. PS: No $$ will be paid for the services rendered, but remember to pay your S&C charges on time or we will fine you. Sincerely, The One & Only I think you misread their mission statement lah. "Our mission is to provide a clean , green (for parks and gardens only), well maintained and healthy environment for the residents (more ERP gantries to minimise cars into town or estate), through close co-operation with the residents (maintain your own blocks and security), grassroots organisations (to NATO and give free abalone porridge to those applicable only) and related government agencies (to collect fines and payments on time or late charges will apply)." Those are the services rendered 100%

Attention all neighbours, There have been sightings of "Suspicious beings aka Aliens" at staircase landings prying on victims to "abduct" in blk 79E during the hours of 8pm - 2am. Please be careful when going home and the police have been informed, they say to call 999 (like i dun know the number ) if any of these suspicious beings are being "spotted" which we may have been deem to be threatened by "it". This is not a joke, serious! Carry a baseball bat of wooden plank when walking home alone at night. PS: Guns, knives and sharp objects are prohibited in Singapore. Vandalisms are the least of my worries, its the "Aliens" prowling at night which poses more danger to us. My neighbours have been informed and will be keeping a look out for any of them, i suggest you do the same and inform them of the danger. When is our gathering for the Meet the MP session on tuesdays 8pm? Lets go give them a "party" man, dun be shy! We shall call this "Project Meepok" Motto: To clobber the living daylights out of these ingrates

Regarding the access system, i can totally agree that it will be a good long term investment for TC or HDB. Having the eyes in the sky may not deter the so called "Graffiti" artists or "XXX" film actors and actress around the sky garden. You got the CCTV but nobody monitoring also useless ah, might as well implement the gate access system. They can spend so much on the garden, but no "Brains" to secure it ah? In regards to the rubbish chute clearing problem, i have seen quite a number of times the rubbish truck cannot access the driveway due to the many contractors lorry and delivery van being parked at our block area. So they will start sounding the horn for a good 5-10mins before going off when nobody bothers to drive their vehicles away. The same thing happened to the rubbish chute outside blk 79C, seen so many a times cars being parked there when the rubbish truck is there too. In fact, sometimes its due to the fact that some ppl tot its a fast one to park there "for a while" instead of driving up the dark and high multi-storey carpark. Hmm..... but i do notice that the rubbish at our lift landing area is cleared daily except our corridors which is done twice a month if i am not wrong ah. Hehe... 40 levels of cleaning per block will drive them mad ah....

Why not juz write in to their schools and lodge an official complain to the NPC and TC. If things are still not being done, someone up there need to do something abt it. By the way i never walk 12 storey unless i really need to get to the other blocks as i too came across these students before and find them a nuisance. Haiz....

I only like their "Duress" alarm where it does not sound at all, but it notifies the police immediately. For ambulance, sad to say they will still call you to ask if u need ambulance loh. Like that i might as well call 995 faster. But if u say elderly then no choice ah. But the fact that ur number will link to CID??? Hahaha.... they are really misleading man.... CID ware got time to entertain us? But anyway, its juz my point of view lah....

Just a little History lesson i came across Toa Payoh and the Malaysia period (1963-1965) The second major new town to be built was Toa Payoh. This name wasn't created, unlike Queenstown. It came from local usage and is quite a unique blending of Hokkien Chinese and pidgin Malay. This area was part of an extensive, low-lying section of the island. In places it had been a swamp, though for a few generations already, it had been drained and made into farms. The eastern portion of the lowlands today carries the Malay name 'Paya Lebar', which simply means 'broad swamp'. The western part of it to today's Toa Payoh. 'Toa' in the Hokkien (Fujian) dialect of Chinese means 'big', but 'Payoh' –- and it's always spelt as a single word even though it consists of 2 syllables -– is a corruption of the Malay 'Paya'. Hence, Toa Payoh is a place name made up of a Hokkien Chinese adjective, qualifying a corrupted Malay noun. It reminds us of the easy mingling of Chinese and Malay farmers of days long gone. However, Toa Payoh was conceived during the Malaysia period [2], when primacy was accorded to the Malay language. For that reason, the roads in Toa Payoh were named Lorong 1, Lorong 2 and so on. 'Lorong' means 'lane' in Malay.

Hi jac, yes the installation is free, but the service is payable and i think there is a contract of 36 months which cannot be broken once signed. And the whole load of crap about being sent here because of high crime rates is rubbish ah, its all sales talk ah. Actually, i personally think that with the ADT alarm system we are trying to let our "thieves" know which unit to target and try their luck. I have tried their service at my friends place before and the police came about 30 mins lata. Heres the procedure of their call system. Step 1: Alarm gets activated after 1-2mins of break-in. Step 2: ADT receives the signal and starts to call you 3 times with intervals before activating the police. (false activation will resort in warnings from the police to ADT) Step 3: Police gets activated and rolls themselves down. (U can imagine how long they will take) Step 4: Thieves only need max of 10-15mins to get what they need and runs. So the morale of the story is "How long will our Mr Police officer take to reach our homes?" Hehe.... enjoy....
