Sometimes you got to see the tiles properly. Previously my tiles were supposed to be gloss, but when the tiles came and were layed on the floor, i was shocked to see it was matt rather then gloss. My ID also dun understand why as he ordered the correct tiles, so when we looked closely, it was in fact a coating of thick matt protection layer for every tiles. The only way to get rid of it was to machine polish and it was back to shine again. So dun know if the scratch u see is it the scratch on the protection layer or the actual tile itself. For the tile to have scratches is quite difficult unless you drag stuffs on your floor, hairline scratches will be more visible on non polished tiles. Thats what i think so lah. Maybe Jacky can answer your questions in a detailed and technical view.

You can apply as many time as you want because they dun mind extra pocket money into their bonuses and salary increments. Last time many ppl do that to increase the chances of having a smaller ballot number when the right unit appears. Now since HDB has changed the rules in regards to the chances and 1st timer eligibility, i guess you got to choose properly and then decide if u wanna ballot for it. Because your no. of chances will be reduced everytime you reject to choose a unit when ur appt comes (unless you very confident you will always get no. 2000 & above ah). Hope this helps...

My same floor neighbour also just started reno. They belong to the En-Bloc occupants and only start renovation now. I think they delayed the reno for almost a year? Since the TOP? TPY 79 is fully taken up already ah. No more empty units available. Those empty ones now are either waiting to get their keys or saving up to renovate their homes. If you compare to the units at Punggol now, ours are considered reasonably priced and is Hot in demand. Especially that we are the only HDB area with the stupid ERP gantry, how cool is that. Why dun you just ask the print shop to do a cut out for your logo in vinyl sticker and stick onto your kitchen glass door instead of having the whole glass door in transparent sticker? If you go at a reasonable speed, even if it was raining lions and tigers u would be able to brake in time. Once is enough for you to be careful of such lorrys or vehicles doing emergency brakings. Actually cats have better road navigations and memories then dogs leh. They can remember the way home just by visiting once or twice, but dogs need a few more times and some still cannot remember the way home. Hehe... Nowadays the flat designs are getting from bad to weird... my guess is too much $$$ stuck in their brain cells and cannot think properly ah. Regarding the transit issue, i guess u got to live with that since there is no way they are going to rectify this issue. Sooner or later they are going to have alot of complains from residents in regards to the number of carpark lots allocated to the residents. too much units, not enough lots.... Its better not to judge their carpentry base on showroom or which company. Each ID team have their own set of carpenters, so maybe Company A has 4 teams and so each team have different carpenter to use. So the best is go for actual viewing on site to judge the workmanship, if you like it then tell that ID you want that carpenter which did the reno. Go look around at some reno open-house of forummers, that would give you a rough idea on who is good or not good.

Hopefully more ppl will step up and join us (that is if they are interested to) in the talk with the authorities. It still seems that the mentality of watever happens be it at 12th storey garden, 8th storey MSCP garden, break-ins, murder.... as long as it does not happen at their level.... dun care lah. So frankly, why should we either? Wasting time and effort?
