Hi, Countrylover, My canopy is made of wood. My ID put plaster? on the wood as a cover. It is a different type of wood as my kitchen cabinet. Hi Countrylover, http://roomyroom.com/html/royal_french_furniture.html Maybe you can find something from there? I personally have not been there so I cannot tell you whether the things are cheap or not. Their ad says lowest wholesale price. Cheers

Hi Piggiedearz, Your tiles on the canopy are very nice. I placed some tiles on my canopy too. For the empty space, I placed a pic i bought at IFC. Planning to hang other things around the picture as still look so plain. Hi Warsurfer, Could you tell me where you bought the baskets in your blog? I have been trying to find them but could not find any suitable ones. Thanks a million. Cheers,

Hi applefreak, MIA for quite awhile. - TV area with ugly wires. - initially, thinking to put everything in this cabinet - Curtains in my mbr and study room.
-
Hi, Yup. Thinking to get a TV console if all else fail. Not now lah.... pocket already a big hole after the reno and barangs. Curtain maker is not John. It was Kenny (Manager) and Mr. Chow (the boss). Cheers

Hi Mint, Thank you so much for the compliment. I spent about S$38K for the renovation. I renovated the whole house. Hack everything except tiles in living and dining, kitchen tiles and window grills. ID did not hack kitchen tiles as he said $$ can be saved as most tiles will be covered up by cabinets. The living and dining tiles are still in good condition, so we did not hack them as well. B4 I approached my ID, I was told the same thing about the cost. Moreover, the other IDs could not provide me a total amount but only a rough figure. They said that every item added will affect the total cost. Hence, I chose my ID as cost is fixed and the ID specialises in country concept. My ID did not use any specialized tiles for the house. Maybe just a few pieces for my canopy. Cheers

Hi Isasoap, I did ask my ID to do a fireplace for me. He said it would not be nice in that area as he wanted it to be at a corner with a chimney. He said the only place he thought of was the corner in the dining area. I have a antique cabinet there now. He said that cabinet is far better than a fireplace. I guess I should just buy a nice looking TV console and put it there to cover up those ugly looking wires. Hi Countrylover, The JB company does not have any companies registered here. They however come to Singapore very often as they have many orders here. You can contact them and arrange with them for quotation. Ask them when they are coming in and they can arrange with you the time. They will provide the quote immediately and you can just tell them whether acceptable or not. They will quote in Ringgit and you can choose to pay them in S$ or Ringgit. I will PM you the contact. I have already taken pics of my curtains but no time to upload it. Will try to do so tonite. Hi warsurfer, Yup. The reno was really a fast one. It took only about slightly more than 1 month to finish it. Thank you for the compliment. I am truly happy with what my ID did to my home. TV console?? No lah... I am open to that idea. I was just thinking whether there will be other better choices. I guess I have to go for a TV console as it would be much cheaper than a fireplace. Cheers

Hi, Thank you for the suggestion about the clock. Yah, I have also thought of putting it in one of the rooms. I custom made all my curtains. I have curtains in the 3 rooms and wooden blind for my living. - can you see those ugly wires hanging around. I am trying to figure out how to hide them without a TV console. Asked my ID to build a fireplace there and he said it will not look good. - I bought the cat calender in Bintan. The clock was from HK disneyland. The display on top of the wine rack is also from Bintan The curtains and blinds were done by a company in JB. They come over to Singapore very often. I will not say that they are cheap but I like the materials they have. Price is reasonable I guess. I spent abt S$1400. I got 2 other quotes from companies in Singapore and their quote was like S$1600. They do not have that many pattern to choose from as well. As for the curtains in the rooms, I did not take any pic of them. Will do so and show it to you. I chose only 1 type of pattern but in diff color shade. Other display items I have in the house. - bought at IFC - a gift - bought this in bintan. S$7 - bought at IFC. Hang on the canopy.

this is the shabby chic wall clock I bought from ebay. It cost about S$34 including postage. Is it worth the price? This clock is battery operated. Still thinking where I should hang it. Any suggestions??
-
Hi, No. I didn't buy any furniture from them as I already have a few existing furnitures I bought from JB. I bought a dining table, queen sized bed frame, tv console, sofa, side tables and a queen mattress. I think I spent about S$2k plus. That was like 2 years back. Condition still very good. Those 4 pictures cost me S$88. I felt the price was reasonable. If i were to buy them at ebay, I might need to pay even more because of postage. Am I right or you think you can get it cheaper elsewhere? Hi Isasoap, Thank you for the compliment. I am still sourcing for cheaper country decos as my ID provided many display spaces in the kitchen and living areas.

- passage way to my bedrooms - pictures I bought at country furniture in IFC. There are many beautiful country furnitures at IFC. I saw a dressing table going for 900+ and consulted my ID about it. He said if I put that in the master bedroom, I will have no place to move around. So, he offered to provide me a very simple looking one. Really a very simple one indeed. But I am happy with it as it is more practical.

- this is fridge area. I bought this Hitachi Fridge not because it is better or whatever. I actually wanted to buy LG fridge but the size is too big. My ID gave me the size to buy and I had only one choice. This fridge is not bad. Quite spacious and it has an automatic ice maker. Amazing technology. Just pour water in the ice making container and you can find the ice in the freezer compartment. Wow!!! - this is a window my ID created in the kitchen. Quite cool I think. When I open it, I can see the passage way.

Hi, PM me please. I bought a Shabby Chic Wall Clock from Ebay. Just got the item today. Will take a photo of it and show it to you. It is abt S$32 including postage. Expensive ka??
-
Hi Countrylover, I like the London Clock. Very nice. Wanted to get one from Ebay as well but it was too expensive. How much did you pay for that and where did you get it from ? Cheers
-
Hi Countrylover, Actually I cook everyday as well. Of course, I don't do heavy cooking but just simple frying. I bake often too. My present hood is not bad as it is able to suck up all the smoke during cooking. So far, I am not facing such problems.

This is my kitchen. Still messy and things are not nicely displayed yet. When the ID told me his idea before the renovation, I had high hopes on this kitchen. I am really happy that he could deliver what he promised me.
