Alamak, i didn't know can ask them to redo n whiten the grouting between the tiles...looks so much better lah. But we getting our keys back by this weekend and reno planning to start next week! Too late liao...sianz...

Hi Alex, Regarding your search for your remaining list of items, I am not sure abt furniture items cos i still searching myself but for electrical items you can go to 504 JW st 51-Kong Tai Electrical Trading #01-221(nearest MRT is lakeside). It may look like an ordinary neighbourhood store and not very impressive but they actually carry most Brands, u name it they have it. Though it may not be on display due to limited space. Just tell the lady boss the brand and she can show u the catalog. I was too anxious and bought a samsung 40" LCD promo from Courts with free 26" LCD,selling at $2799. Who knows when i went to enquire at Kong Tai, they have the same promo and lady boss says special price for me at $2550, exactly the same promo...aaarrgghhh...my 'good' deal wasn't so great after all. There after i vowed to check out all electrical items from there first, if they really dun have then i look else where.

hie...i also learn by flipping thru those interior design magazines, saw some kitchen using different colours for top n bottom,nice leh so coincidence my id thinks the same as me too. hence my kitchen will be like that loh...ha Yah, we went thru 4 companies, 1 went MIA no news after we faxed him our floor plan, the other 2 proposed us very everyday, common design, like templates like that, i dun like leh...i very fussy one,i want something unique, ha...finally the last company was rather prompt in responding and the ID proposed something that we like very much, hence even though it was over budget we eventually still chose his company. We currently waiting for HDB to rectify those problem areas in our unit, dunno we heng or maybe we nvr check properly, but our defect lists are not as long as some of those that i saw posted in here. Just now we went back to check, they have rectify most of the problems le. Hopefully we can start our reno by 2nd week of mar? Sure i will go in the other thread to take a look too. orh...another 1 and half mth to go, mine haven't start but i can't wait for it to finish liao haha...impatient impatient...

Hi Shutiao06 and haroldism, sorry to interrupt ur conversation, regarding kitchen cabinet, maybe u can have both types, glossy solid colour for top cabinets and wood design for lower ones? But must make sure the colours coordinates then will be nice nice. Btw, i am from 675B JW st 64,5 RM, just started exploring Reno T-blogs these few days, new to these things,hie hie... Wah Haroldism, u took keys later than me but reno already started, so nice, guess u can shift in by early apr??? Envy...

Hi everyone, i am new to this and i am at 675B, wow...looks like i got a lot of catching up to do. Btw, to answer someone's question, u CAN get HDB to repolish your parquet floorings, we just did and the resulted floor looks way way better than before!
