Hi Everyone, Just want to share with you guys my Experience with this ID that I was recommended by a friend. It's really tough making a decision and deciding on which ID to go to, all of them are really good. Especially this ID who is young, creative & the design I got for was what my husband and I are looking at. I got my keys this last year late Dec, its a 4 room- resale unit. You may need to start looking for IDs or Contractors in 3 - 6 months in advance. The differences between ID & Contractors are that contractors don't do design, they just follow what you want to do, so if you are a person so free, you can find your own design and get the contractors to do it for you & they will also co-ordinate the works. But one thing I didn't like about contractors is that, they don't really follow up with you. Some may some may not. For Id, they will listen to your requirements, propose the design to you & co-ordinate everything for you. My Husband love Industrial, well for me I prefer modern Scandi. We were hoping to have some industrial to the design and my husband thought maybe to do the kitchen and bath Industrial. But to our amazed, Only 2 IDs would advised us not to screed the Bath floor & wall as they will produce Algae, which is true! After sometime and discussion with my husband and also review with my friend's recommendation, My husband & I went with this particular ID. she is really good for minimalist, scandinavian, industrial, modern style. Quite talented though. we love how she mixed the color together, I've seen one of her portfolio that was Scandinavian with a little touch of Industrial. Not too much of industrial which we like, but we went with Modern scandi as we like simple, clean, with some white finishes/touches to brighten up the place. As we travel alot, we've seen a few places that inspire us to have that kind of cosy feel for our home & yes, we need a lot of storage, we also didn't had the time to do shopping, so we need mostly build-ins. So below are the list we wanted to have for our home & due to practicality and not being home most of the time, she had advised us on the design, the cost and the time frame. So we started renovation in late Jan & just completed. We have moved in recently. If you are not so pandang or you are okay to wait till cny over to continue, I would advise you to do that. What we wanted for our house? we wanted a cosy area at the living a build-in TV console & feature (with some storage space) an Island table L-shaped kitchen cabinets, tall unit for our Oven & some storage space. Bedrooms, we mostly did build-ins. We have a lot of Carpentry works done up with soft-closing hinges & tracks. We did tiling for bathrooms (wall & floor tiles), Kitchen wall & floor tiles Painting up to 5 colors (incl. white) We also change the whole house piping, asked for wall mount W/C (so that will cost) Hacking of floor & wall tiles at Kitchen & bath only. Living & bedroom floors are overlay in vinyl. Total add up about $70k ( Includes HACKING, renovations & works like Air-conditional, Electrical works, changing of all bedrooms doors, our kitchen & bathrooms, we use frosted glass swing door, table top using Marble look-alike quartz and we have 3 areas doing that plus, marble backsplash for our kitchen, false ceiling almost everywhere except kitchen & bath.) Reasonably fair for the price quoted to us. Workmanship also good. The whole process was direct & detailed. Anything you asked for, she will explained it to you, even if you cant visual it, she will draw it out and do her best to explain till you understand. We also message her late at night at times to confirmed and understand the process, she would get back to us at her soonest. All in all, We really felt that we have chose the right ID. Budget & design can always be discussed, make sure you are clear of what the ID is giving you, what you want for your house, do share your ideas/design with the IDs, so they will explain to you is it a good idea to do it or not. If you're looking for ID or recommendation, I would be glad to share with you guys.
