Also, they seem to be the only FSM in Singapore and possibly in English medium who would be prepared to offer commercial businesses money-back-guarantee. I am a fan of Zoe's Bazi reading style. She is better than most pro in Bazi and well read in Chinese metaphysic. Both of them are held in high regards by the world-wide English FSM community for abilities. Reading their Chinese posts I am really proud of them as Singaporean. This is a specific question which answer is different from house to house. First of all, the house must have harmonious Qi flowing throughout. Has anybody heard of 水火即濟？ It means Water and Fire in perfect harmony. In Yi Jing, this is the last 2nd hexagram where things are completed, accomplished. Near perfection not but not perfection. (Why not perfection? Cos in life we shouldnt seek 100% - then there will be no room to improve and work for, and then the downhill will definitely come.) For such a house with good Qi, even if the sink n stove are opp to each other it does not matter. For most houses, which are not in state of harmonious Qi, then being opp to each other is the biggest no-no. Side by side is no problem just give it 1-2 feet apart for pracical reasons. The caveat is for LOCATION/SECTOR of such configuration in NW and SW in GENERAL. This is becos NW and SW are Heavenly Gate and Earth Gate, 天地門. You dun want Fire and Water to be in those location which in bad years will cause health issues. Side track: All things being equal, North-South houses are superior to than others. Water and Fire are life forces. People who know a little about TCM will understand why.

Hi geomic, I guess you are practising? Read your blog and appreciate the exposure you are trying to give FengShui. However, I a, sorry to disagree with you on above. What is Yin? What is Yang? You would know the answer if you look at the relations of Sun, Moon and Earth. What is 5 elements? You would know the answer if you would look at the influence of 28 constellations and the other planets within our Solar system. Hence, people who trivialise FengShui with symbolic crystals, plants, mirrors etc really dunno what they are talking about. Is FengShui only confine to low rise buildings? Definitely not. Qi moves in all directions. Hence, there are horizonal AND vertical Qi. In the major cities of this world like New York, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Seoul and even Singapore, we have multi-millionaires living in very high-rise buildings. (As much as we have poor people living in high-rise public housing.) They can be on 100th floor and still be influenced by FengShui. The simple looking Tai Ji diagram if well understood can explained this adequately. Qi can be explained as a function and summation of RELATIVE influence from gravitational pull, bio-rhythm motion, time and space. This is not true for all houses. It really depends on the Fengshui formation of the house. What if your house needs the Qi to be moving fast N/S due to its formation which only an on site audit by a FSM can tell? ++ In cases where there should be a partition, it is not true that the structure needs to be shorter than master of the house. There is no FengShui basis to that.

Hi No Horse Run, That is only the end instruction to clients when all proper jobs are done by FSM. Positive Qi must be there in landform and internal configuration before we can instruct the clients to use various rooms for specific functions. Best to get a proficient practitioner to select the relevant date. For personal endeavor, he would use your birthdata to match to the exact hour with the specific function. Such as wedding, signing of important contracts etc. For FengShui, he would use your birthdata (and your family's), your residence (or office)'s FengShui code/data and match to the exact hour. The system to use must match with the system of Fengshui he uses. Using Tong Shu is only small % of the WHOLE equation. Tong Shu can be calculated from celestial objects' position. That is a specialised and complicated computation. Impt: not all Tong Shu are printed accurately. Selecting dates from Tong Shu is not advisable for important days of your life. Plus, you would not know how to match your birthdata and other pertinent info to the dates. These are time-consuming specialised skills.

Fengshui is part of Chinese Metaphysics. ALL systems in Chinese Metaphysics originated from astronomy. For thousands of years, astrology and astronomy in China did not part ways until Qing dynasty became history. FengShui is layman's term harnessing the positive meridian spots of Mother Earth which will bring about positive energies -> good relations & health brings about-> opportunities & recognitions and in turn giving one wealth, honour and strong social support system. These are essence of good and happy life. Fengshui works by LOCATING the residence of interest around the meridian spots and aligning it to meet the best possible reception of positive Qi. This includes main door and internal arrangements of pathways, location of beds, stove and function of rooms etc. The activation is by date selection. All these are done by matching celestial objects position. None of above has anything to do with religion. Any race can use FengShui cos it does not go against their faith. If you are interested then research into the history of Taoism and Chinese Buddhism. Fengshui did not originate from these doctrines.

无恩之刑 is just a term of a 3-way penalty between 3 of 寅申巳亥. The effect is determined by a person's BaZi. What you are asking is too vague. No direct inference in Fengshui. Of cos, the person's FengShui would reflect the situation in BaZi. 天地人 are always connected.

Dear bobho, 5 Elements painting does not work in FengShui. Like I wrote many times, anyone who wants to challenge this statement please simply raise an example from any FS classics.... While I can appreciate you come from an angle of a satisfied customer, I would have leave things if specific name is not raised cos it stems from personal experience and lack of knowledge on intricacy of FengShui. I use whatever method/s from both San Yuan or San He systems for the SPECIFIC issues and SPECIFIC resident/s. Every house is different. Cannot use one method for all type of properties with different structures and all human with different issues and birth data. :-) You need background in Yi Jing and Bazi before FengShui. Start by understanding the LoShu, HeTu, Jing Fang Gua and 8 Trigrams really really well. Dun just touch and go. Ask yourself why is LoShu for later heaven (Hou tian) where do the numbers/image/elements come from? Same for the rest listed. These are the easy to learn different to understand in depth BASICS -易懂难精. Once you can understand in DEPTH, then proceeding to learn different systems becomes very easy. After the basics nobody can BS you about FengShui. good luck.

FengShui is so logical and practical that when one put it simply people go 'huh?'. No knock knock a bit please - real knock and actual reno work IS the activate of Qi. Just remember for 2008 (ends 4 Feb 2009) DO NOT START FROM SOUTH SECTOR. The Stars congregate there this year are extra -ve. NO NEED to select date for 'open door' or 'thank the earth' after reno. ONLY 2 date selections requires under classical authentic FengShui, DongTu/Start of Reno AND Move-in Date. The rest are NOT FengShui consideration cos Tu or Earth is not a deity. It is just a settled Qi of the property before reno. the reason for date selection is about getting the best activation Qi (for reno or move-in) based on Tian/Di/Ren. Tian/Heaven for the Date (i.e. a postivie constellation of celestrial stars & planets), Di/Earth for the house's unique data to match those Qi of the Tian component, and, Ren for the residents's BaZi or birthdata to match both Tian & Di. Nothing superstitious. Above is not considering religious aspects. If you have one, then please choose dates according to the religious practice. Just dun confuse them with authentic FengShui.

None of the above works in FengShui. EACH and EVERY FengShui formula and solution has its origin to some form of Yin & Yang 5 Elements principles and eventually the root goes back to a constellations of Stars in the Universal. Astrology did not part ways with Astronomy in China's academia and imperial court until early Republic day. Thus, any 'FengShui' solution that cannot be explained by celestral matters' influence cannot be authentic FengShui. Please show your data that your assertions works. All versions are the same. The difference is in the clarity of print. Go for the older publishing houses.

Yeah, that is right. FengShui is a part of the heritage of Yin & Yang 5 Elements and Yi Jing. The spin off from there includes, -Astrology (Xiang - life reading in form of ZiWeiDouShu and BaZi, FengShui, face & palm reading, Date Selections and Divination - ZhuoYi, Yi Gua, XuanKong gua etc.) -Chinese Medicine - Confucius ethics -Tao philosophy (not the religion) It is the religions like Buddhism and Taoism that mix their practice with FengShui. Any FSM that mixes religion or cultural beliefs do not know FengShui. The highest level of FengShui (or rather authentic FengShui) practice do not require any 'put' items like mirrors, bagua, crystals (when in history did crystal become a trend in China???), charms, dragons, plants etc. The whole mix-up is like the pseudo Chinese physicians who boil charms or some grandmom's hand-me-down 'medicine'. Working on 'faith' and 'belief'..... If you would go to a certified Chinese physician for illness, authentic FSM offer the same quality of assistance for your residences.

How about personal financial and emotional success? The purpose of Fengshui is to harness these aspects giving the individual opportunities for such fulfillments. (Tho, the GENUINE FS practising monks/nuns are getting fewer and fewer.) The successful FSMs own in big houses in spore, Msia, Taiwan and Hong Kong. Many are low profile and not the marketers you read in newspapers. They do corporate and commercial FS like malls and casinos. The successful monks and nuns are highly respected e.g. Hong Chuan Fa Shi in Singapore and Xing Yun Fa Shi in Taiwan. How you met any? Or all FS success are only hear-say till now? Did Fengshui improve your lives - financially and yr EQ? Be honest - otherwise, you are wasting your own time and money in applying/practising Fengshui. If you still dun get it, please go read the latest authority in metaphysics - 《协纪辩方书》. Complied by order of Qian Long Emperor -，清乾隆年间由允禄、梅毂成、何国宗所编纂. He had great interest in Fengshui and had all the sources available to make him a FSM. In fact, he errorenously did his own ancestors/own tomb, which many genuine FSM will tell you he choose the Death and Emptiness line. Qian Long never wrote or allow any text published citing example of imperial palace's colours, dragons, etc etc. These are all silly tactics from modern day FSM. Knowledge is not about 'I feel' or 'I believe'. Academia or genuine FSM dun talk like that.....One's personal life data is too small a sampling to become the guiding light. If anyone or any FSM you guys mentioned above can prove mirror has anything to do with Fengshui from any Fengshui classics ranging from Song/Tang to Qing dynasty, I will do a free audit for him/her (if it is a member) or donate SGD1000 to a charitable cause (if from a FSM). Mirrors has NO influence in Fengshui. The only thing it reflects is light. I.e. you can put everywall and ceiling mirrors and it still does nothing to your Fengshui. Sorry, I am confused - what has this got to do with Fengshui? Do you mean you have not moved in? Brand new place and not renovated? If so, why do you need to deprive yourself from checking it out? Dates are to be selected when there are RESIDENTS in a house. Checking out your new place has nothing to do with Fengshui.
