    Tiling day 3 Kitchen tiles have been laid--love e tiles with the grey grouting! Finally can see common toilet.. Tiler laying the #lastminchangemind black floor tile.so far Last min decision seems correct.looks more modern. Master bedroom resort toilet-floor tiles and shower kerb done! My dark dark toilet.hehe parents forst comment is why u choose so dark tiles.. Tiler also doing skirting for the house Looks like we r progressing! We r meeting carpentry to discuss our requirements on 25th. Any thing i shld take note?

    resale? depends on how extensive you wan the overhaul to be.. if hacking kitchen and 2 toilets, definitely would take up bit of your budget.

    I think the air con man say the living room air con wld just be a cool breeze and not those super cold type. Unfortunately we can only have one compressor so cant get more powerful one. Also usually when living room air con is on, its usually for gatherings and room air con wldnt be on.

    Tiling Day 2 Went up to the house at 9pm to look and was surprised to see 2 workers still there! The house was dark and upon entering, i realised that the 2 workers were there to dismantle the electricals. i wasn't expecting the dismantling til end of the month as per schedule given, so it was a surprise that ID gave me! i.e., slightly ahead of schedule?! As it was dark, i couldn't see much. only saw that the bottom part of the master bedroom toilet was tiled up. kitchen was still blocked so can't see the common toilet too. Spoke to ID on my lights selection and he mentioned that my two toilet lights might not be that suitable cos of the waves emitted might look confusing on the wall tiles.. so u guys can take note for your houses next time. i buy liao so bo plan... last night, i had a sudden thought at 1am! i thought of exchanging the two toilet floor tiles as i thought my black floor tile would look nicer with the common toilet's marble lookalike wall tile and i bought black accessories for it. My previous common toilet greyish floor tile would brighten up the master bedroom resort toilet. i scare id scold me for being fickle but i thought better to ask otherwise will regret not asking forever! so i ask early in the morning and id say ok, its small issue and told tiler! yay for AN! really must buy him his hokkien noodles one day.. lets hope my sudden decision is the right decision!

    The mosaic tiles looks nice! Hmm.. If u like the staggered pattern,see what ur id can do to resolve it. To me the staggered patterns has alot of lines and the flow isnt there. But its yr house and u do what u like!

    oh wow bunk bed with slide sounds cool! not too sure about kids bed at the moment cos elder daughter is a bad sleeper! she can wake up in the middle of the night and flop the other way! sometimes i have to push her off me or her little sister i scared she will fall off the bunk bed so nono for now.. high? nah.. its how the picture is taken! the space still looks cramped.

    Tiling Day 1 Was real excited for tilers to start work! Our resort master bedroom toilet... se toilet so small, only can put one feature wall tile enough liao! Master bedroom toilet in day light (ID whatsapp me this pic to let me know how high my rainshhower can be) The screed kitchen... kitchen tiles waiting to be laid.. ooh la la.. falling in love with my tiles again.. couldn't step into the common toilet so id whatsapp me this pic.. i think tiler did a great job in trying to match the waves... materials for bases are in the house too can't wait to see what tilers did on day 2!

    Cooking up a storm! We are on a buying roll! ordered our Oven and Hob as well during the weekend Went to Best Denki in Imm to order from hubby's friend. had bit of friendship discount ordered the same oven model that we used 6 years ago and matching hob this time round. i asked hubby's fren about the recent electrolux exploding glass hob incident and he mentioned that bosch's hob is using schott glass.. i have no idea how much better is Schott glass compared to electrolux glass but i am taking a leap of faith here and hope nothing happens as glass hob looks nicer in my kitchen i had used my rinnai hob for 6 years previously and it was fine. so here's hoping bosch is the same! here's to more cooking and baking in my new house!

    A Royal Flush! Though Reno has stopped for CNY, the buying has not stopped! we are on a roll! poor hubby's pocket! Next item on the shopping list--our toilet bowls. did research on where to buy them and then decided to go back to the shop we frequent 6 years ago! last time had good feedback, now still good feedback... which is none other than GR Link at Jalan bersah. Take note that the shop opens at 1pm. we reached at about 12.45pm and uncle Benny was just a step ahead of us! hahaha... while waiting for him to open, we took a look at Poh Seng but overheard the auntie in there on the phone with a customer on the wrong order delivered... Uncle Benny personally served us and was very experienced. he had quite bit of advice for us resale owners.we decided to splurge bit on the toilet bowls as we will spend quite bit of time on it everyday.. was deciding on the Geberit system and it was between the Baron w888 or Magnum 1035. Thus presenting our master bedroom Royal throne! Magnum's 1035! it looks similar to the Baron but has the soft closing cover that we had to top up $20 if we had chosen the Baron. Its bit sleeker on top which we want cos our toilet aint that big and its sitting area is wider than the Baron that would be better for our kids (we dun wan kids dropping into the toilet!) As for the common toilet, we took a cheaper Magnum Model 1022 Short and cute! All in all, a pleasant experience shopping at GR link. Uncle Benny was pleasant to talk to and patient with us. Cant comment on the delivery service yet. Note that Uncle Benny is away from 11-22nd Feb.
