Thanks. It is actually stretched fabric. We bought the Finnish fabric from reprodepot.com and had it stretched locally. The whole thing cost about $250

thanks ! sorry to hear about your uncle's kitty. i adopted mine from the local pound. not too sure what breed it was but the pound volunteer mentioned that it could be an exotic shorthair breed.

For my MBR frames, I bought the fabrics & stretchers from IKEA. As for the rest, I sourced them online. You can try etsy.com You just have to stretch them on the frames yourself but they pretty easy to do

Actually, it was a gift so we got it FREE. But according to the person, its easily more $100+. Will check from him where he got it from though.. Yeap ours was sealed the same way but the silicon was hidden beneath the sink so it wasnt so bad. (I think it was already trimmed ?) You wont be able to see the silicon unless you peer hard enough...

Quick Update : Our home reno is 80% complete, except for the bathrooms. Carpentry done albeit afew minor touches. The kitchen cabinets bottom laminates has to be replaced cos the contractors installed them with vertical grains instead of horizontal grains that we have requested. I don't have much photos with me now except for a couple taken from my hp : Our bookshelf @ dining area We ended up choosing white laminates for the internal shelvings. The cove lights @ living room Well..thats all folks ! More updates later !

Thanks.. ! You can go to this website for the pricing... I guess that’s the problem they have here. Here, basically you take a package and most of the time, the design and services comes in cookie cutter sizes. when my id took on this project, he did not even asked me what was the theme i was going for and the 3d design given was standard - only the built-ins items was customised to my specifications...Everything else came from the image resource library, even after providing him the design brief. I could not even conceptualize how my home was going to look like so in the end I took things in my own hands -- by editing the 3D artwork myself and giving it back to him. But hey, it could be only my own personal experience and it could be different for everyone else ? I just feel that as a first-time home owner, I’d appreciate if the designer could be as passionately involved in your home renovation as you are.

Thanks ! Creating moodboards are actually a common practice among interior decorators in the US & UK so im pretty stumped myself.

Now that the reno is progressing, we are all set to scout for the perfect furnishing that will make our home complete. our initial idea was to have the living area designed with urban brick walls and retro modern furnishings. in the end, we decided against the brick wall and settled for a 3D mock-granite feature wall. with our dark wood floor and neutral white walls, i realised what we needed was bright splashes of colour. what we've been eyeing Evov Sofa i love love the colour purple. the actual sofa came in grey tones, beige, red..the usual colours. called the lady and asked if it can be custom-made in purple fabric and the answer was yes. although my heart is set on this, we are still deliberating whether the price is worth it. FH dont seem too keen though. Kartell FL/Y Pendant Lamp since our dining set is a white round table with four panton chairs, we needed some colourful lightings. from the get go, ive already told myself that we need at least ONE kartell item in our house. We must ! We must ! ..cos kartell's the KING. Eames White Rocker to complement the purple sofa in the living area. am still thinking whether i should get a white ottoman to go with it as well Anthropology Shelves instead of side tables in the living area, am thinking whether we should get shelves instead. it is modular and can be arranged in various ways. will be used to place colourful vases and lamp.

Thanks ! Will post up more pics as we progress along..

Don't worry, yer not the only one. Renovating a home is definitely not an easy feat, especially if you are one with expectations. Me and my FH have changed our ideas so often that we have no clue how the house is going to turn out either. And even if the confusion and dilemma's not causing the delay, unforeseen circumstances such as wrong fittings/poor workmanship can occur, causing similar amount of frustration. No matter, Im sure your home will turn out lovely knowing the amount of effort & thought you've put into it.

Anybody In Yung Sheng Rd? (july 07 Ballot)
strychnine replied to kingzkong's topic in Neighbourhood Networking
wow havent been to this forum topic for a while and already its so 'happening' hehe... we also hacked away our mbr wall to make way for the wardrobe. our only alternative solution, really, cause we purchased a platform bed without realising that its too big for the mbr. with the 'indented' wardrobe, we now have a bigger space to walk around my dad saw the hacked wall and suggested making it a 2-way wardobe, meaning it can be opened both ways and can be shared between 2 rooms. does anyone know if this is possible ? -stry -
you mean diagonal ? yeah but it comes with added cost cos of wastage... but we love it that way so i guess its ok for us.. sure..but the hardcopy's with the FH, we'll PM u soon.

Wow nicely done up ! Great idea to place a mirror on the right partition to widen the area... Is your reno officially completed ?

was just wondering how you managed to take the photo at that angle, from the opp side i mean.. hee that aside, i have to commend idealhouse contractors' good intiatives when it comes to clients' furnitures. i had some furnitures brought over and placed on one room during the renovation. when they had to shift them over to the next room, they even went as far as placing a protective bubble wrap around all my stuff to ensure that they were debris-free. All without me having to tell them. Then again, as yours is a really new expensive stuff...its still better to be extra safe.
