  1. Why you want to do that? I thought shower screen is to prevent water from splashing out while you are are showering. Without the door to complete the enclosure, most probably you get water splashing out. Might as well save money and space and leave it as it is.
  2. you getting cold feet after reading all the negative comments on Patricks electrician. I think you made a wise decision to get another electrician but keep fingers cross he is not same kind.
  3. Sharp also has a 32" LCD at $799.00. IMO quite a good buy especially its Sharp. Its at Gain City's booth. At the same time can buy a HTS at $249.00.
  4. Alternately,if you are into DIY, can try those special tile paints(also epoxy based) from Homefix. I think its about $88.00 per tin/litre. The colours available are quite nice and in matte finish.
  5. Can try Faith Coat from Lorong 23 Geylang, tel 6741-7020.
  6. Wow! $4.30 for Ac5 better deal still! You deal with Ale* Lai ?
  7. Someone in this forum did get the Supreme Ac5 grade at $4.50/sf. Anyway your $4.80/sf is just as good a deal. Me think no need to do Ac5(commercial/industrial grade) for residential flooring. Ac3 should be good enough. Just my opinion.

    Change Door

Huh? So serious arh? Maybe your friend likes your door thats why use scare tactics to discourage you from changing it. Anyway if you are contemplating to reno a la japanese, than you can forget about the door change. Japanese usually sliding doors.
  9. Maybe its 7meters by 2.25 meters. 7 meters being the length of the kitchen (3.5 meters x 2 for top/bottom cabinet) and 2.5 meters is width with only bottom cabinet.
  10. As long as its a combi of washer and dryer, breaking down is always a problem irrespective of brand. I think more popular brand for washer/dryer is korean LG.
  11. Well, if its 3 coat than I should say price is quite reasonable.
  12. $1.2k for 4 room is a bit expensive IMO (averaging $300.00 per "small" room). Is it one coat or 2 coats?
  13. Tsk tsk your description of the saleslady 'u owe me money' black face is quite funny but correct leh. Maybe she everyday kenna slam by all the doors at the shop that why the bf attitude Joking.
  14. Maybe they are more into commercial and industrial building projects. I remember they ever do aircon installation for my workplace last time. Seems like they are quite 'low key" for residential projects looking at the number of retail outlets they have.
  15. Was driving past JM today and cant help noticing the exterior paintwork of some units of block27A from mid floor onwards already deteriorated. Saw the whole row(I think its at the room)external wall all have two shades of cream colour.

  19. I think your unit is those so called NG 4 room type. Yah the kitchen is big but to put this table in it will take up much space as mentioned by keltong. My ktchen is similar like yours and I am just putting a simple square dinning table.
  20. If you are buying the 80cm type should have lah but must chop chop go if staying nearby. I pop over yesterday because I happen to be lunching at Anchorpoint.

  23. Must be real excited wih your new house. Is yours those already built and completed sometimes ago? If it is, please be very concern with the "white ants" thing. Hopefully its not termites from those parquet or timber skirtings. Once its termite infested, very difficult to eradicate them. I suggest you pay special attention to those areas you mentioned and monitor closely. Dont trust those HDB inspectors. Of course they will say not white ants.Meer patching up the spot will not help as termites dwells IN the timber. Anyway good luck to your renovation and enjoy the happy feelings.
