  1. Dear all, Does anyone have any recommendations for installing sliding doors for WIW only? I realized that having WIW without the sliding doors attracts lots of dust. Thus decided to install sliding doors only. So far, approached BESGLAS and the quotation I got from them is roughly $3k which I tot was veri ex (only sliding doors!!!). So hope someone out there have any good recommendation or contacts to intro me. Thanks.
  2. Hi Stormcontrol, Your Fridge still ok? Actually i think display set shouldn't be a problem one. Don't worry.
  3. Wa...that's quite an info there. Thanks so much! I think I will go ahead and buy LG cos it's cheaper compared to Panasonic and since the latter is manufactured in China...yes, it is a minus point. At least LG is made in Korea. I like LG's direct drive function...veri quiet. The design of Panasonic wins here. It's veri sleek...but cost roughly a thousand which is more ex than LG. Function wise, I will choose LG ba. And of cos other European brands seems not bad as well. But gonna burn a hole in my pocket. Most of my friends advise me to get a cheaper washer cos spolit le can change a new one.
  4. Ya that's what Panasonic claims...I'm deciding btw LG and Panasonic. I like LG's direct drive...but at the same time attracted by Panasonic's ad.
  5. Dear all, Started the LG washer topic but chanced upon this new new Panasonic Washer (NA-14VA1WAS). Amazed by their specs: Tilted Drum: 70% Water Savings (Most Water Efficient in Singapore) The tilted drum design with advanced technology control enables 70% water savings, using only 44L per wash. Eco Drive Inverter: 20% Energy Savings Inverter flexibly changes the motor's rotation and output to achieve the most energy efficient performance resulting in 20% energy savings against EU A-Level energy saving standards. 3D Sensor Wash: Outstanding Washing Performance The high performance 3D sensor detects the movement of laundry in the machine, enabling the laundry to tumble from the optimal position, resulting in the highest washing performance. It's selling at a thousand plus in Courts, HV...Anyone has any comments? Panasonic is made in Japan one rite?
  6. Ya loh... The specs seems not bad though. It's about a thousand. So nobody has any comments yet ar?
  7. Aiya...just when I decided to buy LG...I saw this new Panasonic Washer - NA-14VA1WAS. Got this from their webby: Tilted Drum: 70% Water Savings (Most Water Efficient in Singapore) The tilted drum design with advanced technology control enables 70% water savings, using only 44L per wash. Seems not bad...anyone bot this? Any comments?
  8. Hmmm...not too sure whether is she a Hitachi sales promoter. But I heard from my friend that F&P does not last one. So was actually veri attracted by Hitachi (made in Japan)...inverter somemore. Auto-closing door feature is not something I am looking for. My priority is the electricity saving function. So far, Hitachi (the one I am aiming) seemd not bad.
  9. Hihi...thanks for the info. In the end, I direct order from the webby. Still cheaper than those offered in Singapore though it might be cheaper to pool funds and share the shipping. Anyway thanks!
  10. My bf said no need to have baking function. He said that he will buy a built in oven for me in future. As if loh…but anyway, I think I wouldn’t bake as often as well…so in the end settle with the microwave oven with grill function only.
  11. In the end I bot panasonic! Went down to Taka to take a look. I got a microwave grill oven loh. With no baking function.
  12. Hi all, I'm looking for a microwave which has all functions like baking, grill (those everything combined into a microwave oven). Any recommendations?
  13. But I read somewhere that Panasonic is made in Malaysia rite? Not sure how true it is. But the promotor who promotes Hitachi said that all the parts and everything is made in Japan one.
  14. Yes Shuseido is right. The model (WD12390) which I originally aiming for was selling at $1199. Was a 7kg direct drive washer only (New in the market). But is a new model la. Much more expensive than WD14331AD which is also a direct drive but 8kg washer with dryer. So logically speaking, it doesn’t make sense that I pay more for a 7kg washer ma.
  15. Seems like Hitachi is an advanced fridge hor...that means good buy le. Cheaper than Panasonic one.
  16. Oh really? I did not look carefully at that though. Maybe I haven do my extensive research yet. Auto-closing door? U mean when u forget to close the doors then got alarm ar? Ya, the sales person told me Hitachi have but I tot most fridges have that function cos my current house...mom using Samsung (lasted veri long) then alarm will go off if forget to close the doors loh. But F&P don't have such function one. Then F&P...the ice and meat all put together in the freezer so got the weird smell loh. So decided not to buy F&P le. But Hitachi that one veri ex so still considering. Best at IMM and HV at Millenia Walk both got this model. Go take a look ba.
  17. Yes you are right. I saw it at best and at HN loh. Both retail at the same price. Oh really? They pushing for Hitachi? Sounds good the way the sales ppl recommend Hitachi. Quite tempted loh. The new one is YMS comes with three ticks. Better than the older verison loh. I saw Panasonic also seems similar compared with this model. But bigger and of cos uses more electricity. Think this model - RSF42YMS looks sleek and nice. Somemore it's stainless steel. The sales assistant ask me to see the back of the fridge and it's made in Japan one. And the back of the fridge is concealed and nicely done. Bot like F&P...veri old fashioned kind of fridge. If got chance, u ask the promoter let u see the back of the fridge.
  18. I am also searching for a fridge. Wanted to start a topic on Hitachi fridge topic but saw this so might as well post here. Well...on Sun, I went to see the fridge I have been eyeing for. F&P one. Stainless Steel one. Then a sales assistant came and saw me looking at the F&P fridge. She actually tells me F&P not as advanced as those made in Japan one. So she intro me to a Hitachi fridge. Seems veri good leh. All parts made in Japan somemore. Then it's super quiet as well...runs on an inverter which saves electricity though only three ticks as compared to F&P fridge which has four ticks. But F&P not inverter one so long run, the F&P not cost saving la. Then read from other forums that Hitachi fridge not bad. So many plus points but still can't decide yet since in the market, there are other good brands as well. And the pirce not cheap. Retail at $2199. for R-SF42YMS. So anyone using this model Hitachi fridge?
  19. Wa...you know more than a housewife! Pei Fu!
  20. Thanks so much for the info. Wa...increase to $1099 le ar...that's fast leh. Must be a popular one loh. They must have regretted offering at such a low price then see the response good, then adjust a little bit hor?
  21. Hi Cromodora/kthc, Where is the offer? I went to Courts and HN but did not manage to find this model with that price tag leh. Did you see it from some where else?
  22. Er...I went to LG washer to take a look at WD-12320RD. Under the spec tab, I saw this: Variable temperature: Cold/30/40/60/95 So that means got cold temperature as well ma? Am I right?
  23. Cold water option is only an added incentive. I agreed with you that detergents need a minimum temp. Besides, most ppl use hot water to wash their clothing rite? The price tag and direct drive system is worth spending. Good buy!
  24. Sorry wrong info. It's the WD-10481TP washer (non direct drive) selling for $399 at Courts. But only 5 sets. LG has another washer which is F1422TD (only washer, no dryer one) also a direct drive rite? This one is also below $1500. I believe those two models that you mention should be a washer cum dryer ba. I am targeting on a LG washer WD12390 (a 7kg direct drive washer). Suppose to be out in the market from 01 June. However, courts and HN have not showcased this washer yet. But I went down to Audio House and saw the display set. Retail price is about $1199. Washer cum dryer (direct drive) at $899 is a good buy. And some more it got an Intelligent Washing System. Wa!
