Think there is really something wrong with the quality of the tiles then. But mine is really very bad . My Id got a shock too when he see all the footprints embedded inside the tiles . Think it has nothing to do with whether i start the renov or not cause when renovation start , all the cardboard is laid so the workers is walking on the cardboard most of the time. So all the footprints belong to : Me , FHB , all the BSC workers , T.O , Ah seng and town council's staffs So whose fault ? I think i will contribute the problem of the quality of the tiles rather than whose footprints they belong to . If want to measure hor , 4/6 footprints belong to HDB leh . They do so much rectification works in my places. Really CAKE SIM YA ......

If never put nametags how to identify ourselves har ? Xiaobao , did you involve the T.O before decision to hack away your tiles ? My T.O coming on Friday for joint inspection with me and BSC . Contractor did chemical wash twice . There are many shoes prints that cannot be washed away . Look like the tiles " EAT " them . So contractor say need to inform the HDB because the tiles got problems . The whole living room is like that . So i also do not know how to deal with it . Premium flat premium problem . Think will be like weixiaobao and change all the tiles . All my paintings and lighting , polish of parquet all done . So now very cake sim loh .

Have you pay them for the sand and the skirting yet ? If not , talk to your T.O first . Cause if SO hollow till they need to buy sand then it is a existing defect which should not back-charge to you. Also make sure to check thru all the tiles again for hollow . In-case they do a shabby job on it .

You can go for a theme first ? Then ask him to design. Meanwhile go library and borrow magazines . I like those thick thick chinese ones as they got alot of pictures . You can have better ideas what you want . But you can definitely ask for changes for the 3D drawings.

Where got such thing. The first time you change the wood to tiles already $250. But since you re-lay everything with new tiles which you already purchase that should include the laying of new skirting. Even contractors, Id charge for laying tiles and this sum already include the skirting leh. Tell him if like that , you will write to HDB and cc to your T.O for black and white .

Decide to let my ID doing the paint work as after much calucation. We think cannot save much as one 5L cost about $70 now due to high oil price. You can help me monitor from your place
