Hi Toppie, You are really tolerant with your ID.. If it was us, we would have lodged a complain with his company immediately. If you can, do meet earlier tomolo if possible. My reno is also in the near completion stage..Will need your help to look out for defects too.. So far 2 other 79ers have confirmed the house house visit besides u & babymaro. Cya all tomolo~~

Hi Toppie, If you look at our contract under terms & conditions line no. 10, it says: "If there is no notice given to us in writing of any such defect in workmanship or material supplied within 7 days after the hand over or the practical completion of work, the Company shall be entitled to collect the full payment from the client. Any defects works reported after this period will be covered under our 24 months warranty." Based on my limited knowledge and understanding of the above sentence, it should mean that we have 7 days after the handover to scrutinise and report any defects during this period, and only if we do not complain of any defect in writing , then we have to pay the last 5%. Hence, do not get pressured into paying the full amount to your ID. You can even complain to the company about his poor attitude and workmanship. Yes, we are doing a mini house hopping this Sat afternoon. I'm meeting a couple of neighbours at 2pm for house hop while waiting for Toppie & babymaro at 3pm. Interested parties can pm me or Toppie.

Strongly recommend Vlux at geylang rd. Good service with a large collection of nice lightings. Got our crystal lightings there too. Pricing reasonable. They have their own free carpark lot too~

Hi Hobbes187, I think you can tap on the water heater switch point for the fan if you are not using the instant heater for both washrooms. As I'm using a storage heater and its in the common washroom, hence i think it should not be a problem to use the heater switch point for my MBR washroom as the fan switch instead. You can also check with the installer when he is there to install ur fan. Bear in mind that some windows can only do fixed panel becos of space constraint.. at least mine must do fixed panel.. so considering other options.. may just get kdk people to install the latest 15whpa fan which imho looks nicer.

ANy house hopping today? Especially inerested to see neighbours who had installed ventilation fan in their washroom.. Current renovation progress is quite smooth.. Think close to 80% completion.. Glad to also see my opp neigbour has finally started their reno.. They seem like nice people too~~

Very true that no matter how good or established any ID firm is, there are bound to be black sheeps.. Must really depend on the ID u engage.. Mine is recommended by my colleague, saw the workmanship, had a conversation wif her, felt comfortable then sign up.. anyway wats done is done, now just try to ensure successful handover.. if he push u further, threaten to complain to his boss!! how can he force/pressure customer to handover.. Fyi most of my carpentry are up yet my 2nd last payment still haven't pay up..haha.. but must be automatic a bit la,so will pass the cheque to my ID on monday.. so far the works are satisfactory.. The fan looks familiar, think I saw it at Caltex. To answer Toppie and tension's question, I will post the pics of the clocks if i have the time. Quite like the clocks as its unique and looks very different from conventional ones. Whats more, the price is very economical considering they are imported from Korea and of reasonable quality. The young couple who served us charge us without the cents. They are very nice people hence did not "slash" the prices further.

Hi, Thanks to this forum, I got my dining set and coffee table from Morris over the weekend. Realised that the price actually can go lower if know the art of negotiation. Got a good discount after waiving off installation charges and GST. The furnitures there are trendy and of good quality. Strongly recommended!

Dear neighbours, Just to update everyone on my purchase of clocks from Suntec city recommended some neighbours here. Quite satisfied with my purchase. Total bought 3 clocks from the nice couple. Like the fact that there's only 1 design per clock available. Even if there are more, it will come in the next shipment. The clocks are imported from Korea. Thanks for the recommendation folks~~

By the way, did anyone do ventilation fans on your washrooms? Can share the pictures? Is it also true that if we were to change the window panes, we have to use back those wired window panes?

Hi Bluefly, I like your white window panes but when i called to request from tCentral Aluminium, they informed me tat is HDB's requirement to use wired window panes.. So if I were to use them, my window will have the wired window pane.. Anyone knows whether HDB has such requirement that the window pane used must be wired?
