Dear neighbours, Anyone of you has any clues how to connect TV & SCV to HTS such that even when we watch tv we can enjoy the surround sound? By right, my connections were done up nicely and able to do the above. However, it suddenly didnt work recently.. Now can only enjoy my surround sound while playing DVD/cd only.. Perhaps i accidently change some settings?? Really no clue what happened... ANy experts in HTS? Bonkitty hubby? meepok?

Yo bro, how's your reno? Everything going smoothly? Yes, my gate does have the tight feeling.. Think its because of the new hinges.. My initial problem is that the duro lock can't even fit properly to my gate. Mr Kor was kind enough to help me knock here twist there to close up the gap for the gate so as to fit in the lock. He even help me to file off some part of the gate to ensure the lock will open smoothly (one turn of keyknob will trigger the lock to open fully).

Hmm, his original price was $15/hinge. According to him, one of our forummer bargained with him for $10/hinge and hence forth those who were so called "introduced" to get the hinges done will get it at $10/hinge. Key thing is to confirm with him the pricing of $10/hinge saying you were introduced by someone from the blk to do up the hinges. My neighbour also got it done at $10/hinge. I find Mr Kor quite a nice guy. Quite chatty.. Told me lotsa stories during installation. He even helped me "adjust" my gate so that my Duro Lock can fit in.

Just wish to share with fellow neighbours that the tv reception will be very much clearer after the starhub signal activation. It's almost high definition. Btw, talking about the Gate hinge Uncle Kor, he managed to convince my opposite neighbour to do up his gate as well.. Seems like for my floor alone almost half of us have did the hinges. I heard from Samsung contractors that the images should improve significantly after the signal activation. Btw, just called Starhub and quite pissed by the poor product knowledge of their staff.. Anyone here knows whether the signal activation is the same for both cable tv and maxonline(internet)? I thought they should be the same but the helpline officer is not sure and claim that she will get the technical dept to call me back.. waited for >24 hrs liaoz... I have the modem now but can't use at all due to the signal not activated.. Have arranged cable Tv ppl down to install the setup box and will get them to test my maxonline at the same time.. Btw, anyone here plays PS2 Euro2008? Any problems with the netherlands team lineup??

On the brighter side, at least your neighbour upstairs is honest and willing to pay for the damages.. Not sure if i made the right choice of signing up just for the internet package with free VECM modem and wireless kit.. Perhaps signing the hubstation is more worthwhile.. Hi This is my 1st posting since moving in 2 days back.. Have really been busy unpacking and packing stuffs this 2 days. Didn't even have time to come online. I agree security is a concern here for esp this is a new blk and quite a number of owners have not shifted in. A number of units have also been broken into.. I have engaged this Uncle Kor recommended by forummers here to change the hinges for me @$10 each. I would say its worth every cent. he even helped to align my main gate as the 338 Duro padlock i bought can't fit in..

That should be the deposit. Same goes to Citigas (another $100 dep).. Hence, total $200 deposit gone...

I was at my unit that day. No wonder I heard loud banging sound.. Should have gone over and take a look. I didn't receive any letter from starhub.. checked underneath my main door and letter box.. maybe have to call them .. Or perhaps they go by blks? After blk c then blk b?

yeoman, are u getting movers? If u are, u can get boxes from them.. alternatively, u can go to those industrial area n PICK boxes... hheee be careful not to bump into "aunties".. or u can buy boxes from these "aunties".. welcome to the neighbourhood... Yup, I'm getting movers. Its well recommended in the forum. But as I'm not moving much stuffs, he is charging me <$200. However, no boxes provided.. Thats why need to source for boxes.. Maybe will call him again to see if possible to arrange.. If not will find the other popular mover in the forum to quote and see if he provides boxes.. I dun want those old old boxes leh.. Must go find out where can buy new ones..

Anything they did "extra" for u should be FOC. Insist on that. Usually no prob. My ID even throw in some freebies on her own accord. Btw, any neighbours have boxes to loan / recycle? Where can we buy new boxes? Will be moving in soon and need to start packing.. Thank folks

Thanks to everyone for your reply. Ok, so its actually possible to do it either way.. Hmm, actually depends on our preference and lifestyle.. But i also find it neater to have both the switches off when the lights are off. Thanks again folks~~ Btw, i want to see Mr Bae also !! haha currently catching his tv series.

Dear neighbours, Please enlighten me how 2 way light switches work.. Eg. Area A and area B have same set of switches (2way) so that i can on/off the same set of lights at both areas. Question is if all lights are off, does it mean switches for both area A & B are all off? Must it be that area A switch is on and area b switch is off to have all lights off. (In short the 2 ways switches will definitely be opposite, 1 off 1 on) Not sure whether my electrician is smoking me..
