Usual price for stile is about $150-190pfr. I checked with them on the integrated vanity top with basin, yes its possible but extra installation cost. Do check with them on cost if interested.

Looking from investment POV, the ROI on a 3rm flat is much higher. Eg. rental income on a approx 200k 3rm unit = $1.2k - $1.5k; whereas say for instance a 500k exec unit, the rental rate is between $2k - $2.5k. Also taking into consideration the loan/CPF interest if any.

You may want to consider vinyl flooring instead. The old version of the 80s are the patterned designs but the new ones these days have it in laminated floor design. They comes in strips like tiles and can be easily laid on your existing tiles. Also daily care is also easier since vinyl floor is supposed to be more water resistant than laminated floor. Check out Saturday's ST... there's a featured reno using vinyl tiles.

Hi Yokine9a, the purple you're referring to... is it the first one under the Stellar color? Can't find any close to purple in their website. Any idea if there's a minimum length for orders? Does it mean we order the top from Stile and pass it on the carpenter/contractor/ID for the cabinets??

You're lucky. Where i'm staying now, the MSCP is nearly at full capacity. If come back later at 11pm, nearly guaranteed a moon-tan spot at the top open floor on the 6th level.

Totally agree with BlueFly that its vital to have a storeroom to keep the place in order. So much so that I intend to create a storeroom in the petite 3rm unit that i bought. Built in cupboards can't simply store all my bulky stuff such as ladders, extra chairs, pails and vacuum cleaner, big pieces of luggage and golf sets. The unit had no storeroom and by partitioning a storeroom i had to have a smaller room, but still a reasonable size for spare room that can accommodate a 4-door wardrobe & queen size bed.

Remembered someone in the forum mentioned doing laminate for $2.50 psf.

It is said (according to FS) that sleeping under a beam will bring pressures in life. Having said that, it's ultimately your decision. For me, it's simple enough to follow.

4th floor may not be so bad. The car shining in will only affect the ground and 2nd floor units, unless it's near a multi storey carpark then it'll affect up to the 7th or 8th floor. Look at it positively if you're driving, at least you do not need to walk a distance to the carpark. When i bought my previous unit, i wasn't planning on driving and thus did not think of the carpark. But when i bought my vehicle, i realised that my block is suited at the furthest end... and need to walk about 7-10 mins to the carpark.
