    I'm looking for a contractor who has a HDB license to apply for the permit, of course such service will incur an adminstrative fee. I can get workers direct for the work. Anyone has contacts to share here? PM me if not convenient to post here.

    Thinking of doing my HDB reno using ala carte contractors. But do we need to apply HDB permit if no hacking is involved? Only overlay tiles. How do we go about doing the permit if required? Or can the hacking company apply the permit?

    One of my relatives place (old 3rm of more than 30 year old), the window is the louvre kind with metal plates at the bottom and top in glass. It is a corridor unit and has 4 windows, two each in the living and bedroom. The hinges holding the metal and glass flaps are not in sinc. Some flaps are loose and cannot be locked. Is there any company that will change just the parts required? Looking at the lowest possible cost to repair it. Can DIY? Or how much does it cost to get it replaced?

    Wah your maid must have hated cleaning toilets! Heard a friend engaged some people to clean up the house, and ended with a clogged WC that had to be changed. They suspected the cleaners threw the rags into the WC.

    What is the usual height and width of the cement cabinet base for suspended kitchen? Is it secured enough? Want a secured kitchen but with the spacious suspended look. Scared the cabinets may fall onto me.

    A friend bought an HDB using cash + cpf, don't need valuation report. Maybe because the bulk is paid in cash, only a small portion is through cpf. If it is a clear cut case of using low cpf amount, then likely valuation report is not required.

    Buyer will only reimburse the valuation report provided he needs it for loan application. If the buyer is paying full in cash and cpf, he can do without the valuation report.

    Moonlit, thank you. The user guide says 3500W. So it should be 16AMP. But sales guy say some experienced oven tripped? Any experience with tripped oven?

    For pyro ovens, what is the recommended AMP? The sales recommended 30AMP. The oven which i'm looking at says power rating 3500W. Anyone with experience or knowledge to advise? Thanks.

    he two popular brands in this forum for induction hob seems to be Brandt and Bosch. How much is the Brandt TI612BT1? The 4-zones Bosch PIE645T14E RRP is $2069. Fyi, Mayer had a warehouse sale last weekend and the 4-zones induction hob was going for about 50% discount off their normal price if i remember correctly. You may want to check out the other discussion threads on Mayer's customer service level before you do the purchase.

    The range is rather wide from a couple of hundred to the thousands. Product range from simple rain shower head, to exposed or concealed set and shower panels. Went down to the Park Mall outlet today, and heard from sales its an ongoing promotion. Apparently he said probably will extend to April.
